I didn't know that Simmons had drug issues. Well, here's to hoping that all three of them get clean.
I remember reading a few years ago he was let go for a short time due to alcohol abuse.
- The family of Nancy Benoit has filed a lawsuit against Hustler Magazine, who published nude pictures of Nancy in their March edition. The photos were taken from a video which Nancy did in 1983 when she was considering entering the adult industry prior to joining the wrestling business. However, the lawsuit got on to a bad start for the family as U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas Thrash on Friday denied Maureen Toffoloni's - Nancy's mother - request for a temporary restraining order against the publication according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution newspaper. The Judge said that he based his ruling on the First Amendment rights that provide for freedom of expression. The magazine has already been published and distributed and the restraining order didn't make much sense. "We think it's a good result," said S. Derek Bauer, the Atlanta attorney for LFP Publishing Group, which publishes Hustler. "You can't unpublish speech already published. You can't unring the bell." The Toffoloni family are asking for unspecified damages including legal fees and litigation costs. (thanks to Colin Vassallo)

Their HD channels do not have any listings for WWE shows and Sky representatives confirmed that while No Way Out will not be airing in high-def, WrestleMania 24 will be and talks are "currently ongoing" to bring the other shows in HD as well. Sky subscribers have to pay an extra £10 GBP per month for HD channels which is equivalent to around $19 US. (thanks to Colin Vassallo)
- WWE has signed 23 year old Angela Fong to a developmental deal. She will be reporting to Florida Championship Wrestling in Tampa.
- As of this writing TNA has sold just under 1,600 tickets for tonight's Against All Odds PPV in Grenville, SC. TNA is blocking off more than half of the arena and setting the place up to hold between 2,500-3,000 people. Also in order to move tickets TNA has instituted a buy two tickets get one free sale a the box office. They are also giving out free tickets to various businesses in the area. No matter how you slice it tonight's event looks to be a money losing situation for TNA. This is not surprising though. Not only has TNA promoted the show very poorly on a local level but WWE ran a show last fall in the same arena and only drew 1,000 people. TNA should have noticed this and booked the event for somewhere else.
