TNA Impact was good, but the Rat on a Pole match was a piece of crap.

The only good gimmick Dustin Rhodes has ever done was Goldust. His current gimmick of Black Reign has been a piece of crap.

The WWE is willing to do anything to bring The Rock back:

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

- The list for this year's WWE Hall of Fame inductees is almost complete. Two names we know for sure are Ric Flair, and Mae Young. Young is said to be a lock for the WWE Hall of Fame. Another name getting some considering is former announcer Gordon Solie. Dusty Rhodes is pushing hard for Solie to get inducted, since it's in Florida and that's where he made his name. The problem is that Solie never spoke well of McMahon when he was alive, and that doesn't help his chances obviously. Solie has gotten a significant amount of votes from the selection panel in the past, but McMahon vetoes his induction.

Two other individuals up for consideration are Peter Maivia, The Rock's grandfather that passed away in 1982, and Rocky Johnson, The Rock's father. Their inductions hinge on The Rock's schedule getting cleared during WrestleMania weekend. He's definitely up for the idea. Internally, the belief is that The Rock is coming. Furthermore, there is an unwritten rule in that WWE doesn't want to induct more than one or two deceased individuals per year. They don't want the event to be a downer and the last thing they want to do is a put a spotlight on death.

Well, there is a DVD about his WWE Career coming up soon. Maybe he does commentary for his DVD.

Anyone think Heyman or Bischoff will get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame?

Nope. Vince would never recognize them since their greatest contributions to the wrestling business were to challenge his promotion. Bischoff especially. Which is why you'll never see Sting get inducted.

I didn't know that Simmons had drug issues. Well, here's to hoping that all three of them get clean.
I remember reading a few years ago he was let go for a short time due to alcohol abuse.

- The family of Nancy Benoit has filed a lawsuit against Hustler Magazine, who published nude pictures of Nancy in their March edition. The photos were taken from a video which Nancy did in 1983 when she was considering entering the adult industry prior to joining the wrestling business. However, the lawsuit got on to a bad start for the family as U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas Thrash on Friday denied Maureen Toffoloni's - Nancy's mother - request for a temporary restraining order against the publication according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution newspaper. The Judge said that he based his ruling on the First Amendment rights that provide for freedom of expression. The magazine has already been published and distributed and the restraining order didn't make much sense. "We think it's a good result," said S. Derek Bauer, the Atlanta attorney for LFP Publishing Group, which publishes Hustler. "You can't unpublish speech already published. You can't unring the bell." The Toffoloni family are asking for unspecified damages including legal fees and litigation costs. (thanks to Colin Vassallo)

- The Miz and John Morrison now have their own WWE.com segment called "The Dirt Sheet".

- Jeff Hardy's leap off the entrance way from Raw will be an extra on the Royal Rumble 2008 DVD.

- ECW Original The Blue Meanie has filmed a scene for "The Wrestler".

- Rumors are flying around that Sky in the United Kingdom will be airing Monday Night RAW and Smackdown! in high definition in March. The Sky Programme Information website lists RAW in HD on March 17th and Smackdown! in HD on March 21st on their current channel Sky Sports 3 however SS3 does not air in HD. Their HD channels do not have any listings for WWE shows and Sky representatives confirmed that while No Way Out will not be airing in high-def, WrestleMania 24 will be and talks are "currently ongoing" to bring the other shows in HD as well. Sky subscribers have to pay an extra £10 GBP per month for HD channels which is equivalent to around $19 US. (thanks to Colin Vassallo)

- WWE has signed 23 year old Angela Fong to a developmental deal. She will be reporting to Florida Championship Wrestling in Tampa.

- As of this writing TNA has sold just under 1,600 tickets for tonight's Against All Odds PPV in Grenville, SC. TNA is blocking off more than half of the arena and setting the place up to hold between 2,500-3,000 people. Also in order to move tickets TNA has instituted a buy two tickets get one free sale a the box office. They are also giving out free tickets to various businesses in the area. No matter how you slice it tonight's event looks to be a money losing situation for TNA. This is not surprising though. Not only has TNA promoted the show very poorly on a local level but WWE ran a show last fall in the same arena and only drew 1,000 people. TNA should have noticed this and booked the event for somewhere else.

- From Kyle Boggs: Gilette has signed John Cena to teach their "Young Guns" (NASCAR drivers) to wrestle. It will be a series of commercials to air through the season. Cena participated in learning how to drive a stock car last year as part of reality television show. Apparently he's now slated to return the favor to the drivers.

Well if you put Batista against someone like Khali, of course the match is going to suck. Khali is one of the worst wrestlers ever. I remember they had to edit a match with Undertaker he had because it was awful, and Undertaker isn't a bad wrestler. So far, only Cena apparently has succeeded in making Khali watchable.

Batista did have a brief but decent match with Mark Henry a couple of weeks ago, as well as a good one with Kane. Neither of those two guys can carry opponents, so I think it's a testament to Batista's ability as well.

Exactly, Batista can't carry anyone but is definitely no longer in need of carrying, if an opponent is capable of doing their part then Batista can deliver on his end.

Steph and HHH are a couple bunnies there...jeez...that was probably the family issue stuff that has kept him away....hope everything works out

So I guess you glanced over the reports of HHH's brother in law dying.

I think this sums up properly TNA PPVs (which I had no idea there was one tonight until... 4 minutes ago).

Brother Ray powerbombs the blow up doll.

I seriously think watching TNA for any significant amount of time can make you dumber

What in the Venti Triple Mocha Latte hell?

They broke that sanity with this:

This means Lethal is X Division Champion once again, the X Division stays and Team 3D must drop to 275 pounds or leave TNA.

When the hell was any of this stipulated?

Christ, it's like they're advertising the Dudleys are leaving soon.

Not trying to start an argument, but do you really feel Batista has improved to the point of not being carried? I think we need to see him in a match with a better talent than Mark Henry in order to judge fairly.

Guys like Taker, Edge, and even Mysterio could make a corpse look good in the ring. I have heard reports though that Batista was pretty impressive in his OVW days, however, in his book he stated that he wasn't very good at all and had a goofy character. In any event I haven't really paid much attention to his matches as of late.

Last match I saw Tista in was the steel cage match with Taker.

You haven't paid attention to his matches as of late so you wouldn't know of he's improved lol.
