TNA could've been a real reason for the WWE to actually better their product if TNA had done the same thing. Only thing is TNA wants to prove they're not the WWE rather than do their own thing by pushing their homegrown talent, intelligent storylines, and great matches.

They started out good and smart, then obviously Russo and Angle come in ruining the fold and making the promotion worse and worse. It's a shame because they have the potential to really be something special, though until they get rid of Russo they'll never head into that direction.

it's weird because we say that TNA should be pushing WWE to do better, but I feel WWE is better overall than it was before TNA started catching on, while TNA is just not good right now at all

Exactly, Batista can't carry anyone but is definitely no longer in need of carrying, if an opponent is capable of doing their part then Batista can deliver on his end.

Pretty much my train of thought when it comes to Batista.

Aw, warms my heart

Hehehe. :D

Not trying to start an argument, but do you really feel Batista has improved to the point of not being carried? I think we need to see him in a match with a better talent than Mark Henry in order to judge fairly.

Guys like Taker, Edge, and even Mysterio could make a corpse look good in the ring. I have heard reports though that Batista was pretty impressive in his OVW days, however, in his book he stated that he wasn't very good at all and had a goofy character. In any event I haven't really paid much attention to his matches as of late.

Last match I saw Tista in was the steel cage match with Taker.

I think the best gauge is to look at Batista's match with HHH at Wrestlemania, and compare it to his match Undertaker. A lot of difference; there weren't any deadspots and much standing around like in HHH match; Batista executed more moves; not only did Batista do the face comebacks, but he also controlled the match Undertaker at certain points. It was pretty back in forth, had that true Battle of the Titans feel and didn't disappoint.

I watched Batista/Undertaker, expecting to see something close to Taker/Diesel from Wrestlemania 10. Unexpectedly, I saw a match that is easily Undertaker's best Wrestlemania match after the one with Orton. And as Undertaker always brings his A-game to Wrestlemania, it's clear that Batista took care of his end of the match and made it special.

Still can't believe I'm defending Batista, but I have to give the guy his due.

Haha, no way dude. I've openly admitted that Dave is a very limited wrestler. I'd have to be 13 years old to not see that lol.

Oh most definitely. Batista isn't a great wrestler by any means. But he's come along way and is enjoyable. At least to me.

Samoa Joe's current TNA contract will expire in June of this year. Joe signed a 3 year deal with TNA in 2005. He was offered an extension in 2007 but rejected the deal. It should be interesting to see if Joe stays with TNA or looks "elsewhere" for a job. There is talk that Joe will get the TNA World Title soon but we will have to wait and see on that.

As noted earlier, Jay Lethal's major push is scheduled to continue. His merchandise has been a top seller and TNA is working on releasing more Black Machismo merchandise in the near future.

Salinas and Christy Hemme are no longer being advertised for the New York house shows.

As noted earlier, ODB vs. Awesome Kong in a street fight will take place at tonight's iMPACT! tapings in Orlando, FL.

If Joe doesn't get a new contract, he's going right back to ROH. I don't think Joe would go to WWE, even though I'd like to see how he'd turn out there.

Russo will probably give him the title at his last TNA show, trying to pursuade him to stay, but he will fail, just like he did with Benoit

Glad they did McMahon/Hornswaggle in the first ten minutes. Now on to the real meat of the show.

JBL vs Jericho now.

Hmmm...Didn't know Paul Burchill was coming back...with a new persona too.

Hi I'm Brian Kendrick. I was a tag team champion for a year and one of the most popular stars on Smackdown. I now job to sister-****ers.

Another example would be his matches with MVP, who while good is not up to carrying anyone at this point, he can tailor himself to work with an opponent but Tista actually went to the mat with him.
I think his matches with MVP are very good proof that Batista has improved in the ring. And I am still not a fan of him in or out of the ring, but unlike this time last year, he can put on a good match with equally as competant wrestlers.

And oh ****, a curb stomp.

If Joe doesn't get a new contract, he's going right back to ROH. I don't think Joe would go to WWE, even though I'd like to see how he'd turn out there.

I'd like to see him on TV as he is my current favorite, and I don't get to see ROH very often, but I agree that WWE would misuse him badly. They'd probably give him a nose bone and tatoo's, and team him with Umaga as the Wild Samoan's. He was in WWF for one night, and they had him job to Essa Rios in about 3-4 mins, tho he did get off a few moves that got the crowd going. Tho TNA currently misues him too, so I guess it's the same difference. Going back to ROH would probably be the best thing he can do, tho the pay cut probably wouldn't be fun on a personal lvl.

So Burchill is the incest dude that the rumors have been going on about? It's sad I remember one of them said, "Vince is that close to finally going thru with the incest story he has been dreaming of doing for awhile now". I guess it's good atleast that he didn't go thru with the storyline of him being Stephanie's babies father....still tho, who "dreams" of doing an incest storyline?

Y2J vs. JBL was good tonight tho. Hornswaggle vs. Vince was a waste of time. Churchill curbstomped Kendrick. Cena vs. Henry was over fast (which I was actually happy about), Orton did ok tho calling the match and gave good reactions at the end when Cena was talking to him. So far it's been meh, looking forward to HBK vs. Hardy tho, atleast I know there will be 2 very good matches tonight.

Damn, Maria looks hot, shouldn't be going over better skilled female wrestlers, but still hot.

I'm not so sure Vince would terribly misuse Samoa Joe. Just look at how well things have gone for CM Punk. Sure you can bring up rumors of him being in the ''doghouse'' or how he lost the title recently, but fact is they've been practicly making ECW the CM Punk show and he's gotten a very nice push, and the involvement with Edge really bodes well for his future. I could see them doing the same thing with Joe, let him make a big name for himself on ECW, build up a following and slowly but surely bring him up the card.

I appreciate Maria only because she's one of the very few divas without..."enhancements".
