so Im looking at the numbers...the Impact Zone isnt that big so about 1,000 seats I'd guess....and when they travel, their attendance maybe doubles....maybe.....do they really expect to be taken seriously??

- A video hyping TNA is shown with a new slogan "Cross The Line".

Yes, cross the line from ridiculous to tasteless.

I hope to high holy hell that TNA does not do something that spells the end of TNA. That something: move to Monday Nights. Not only would they get crushed by Raw, but for 4 months out of the year, TNA would get destroyed even worse then Raw by Monday Night Football. I am a TNA fan since day one, but I am at a point where I am close to falling off the TNA Bandwagon. Having said that, the PPV wasn't that bad.

did Angle finally drop the belt or did he pull a Jarrett??.....if he didn't then I would say the PPV sucked. I used to really like TNA and its almost sad to watch now....they have some great homegrown talent, but they are severely underutilized....seriously unless Roode won the match, what is the benefit of him jobbing out to Bookah??

Angle won after Tomko attacked Christian.

TNA is close to going the WCW route. All that is missing is "The Hulk Hogan and Friends World Tour" which more than likely won't happen.

You haven't paid attention to his matches as of late so you wouldn't know of he's improved lol.

Well it's not like Mark Henry is a barometer when it comes to great wrestling or anything, so it's not like I should be impressed when it comes to the improvement of Tista. To be fair though, you have a bias and never acknowledged his weaknesses to begin with.

As I said, Edge, Taker, and Rey can make a dead person look good in a match.

We'll see though, maybe I'll track down more of his recent matches and see if he has improved.

Except they never have and never will reach the popularity level and ratings of WCW. TNA has been around for years now, they've bust bust bust.

What's appalling is that they can think they charge the same amount for PPVs as WWE and still get several 6-figure buys:funny:

Haha, no way dude. I've openly admitted that Dave is a very limited wrestler. I'd have to be 13 years old to not see that lol.

I was watching some Lucha Libre from Mexico on Saturday and on that program they had some very weird characters. It was AAA with the six sided ring. There was Judias Mesias, Konnan, La Parka (in an arm sling) and Kenzo Suzuki (remember him?) as the only guys I recognized. I think I saw Psicosis and Juventud as well, but I am not sure.

What, no Killings, Sabu and Rikishi?

They usually headline the programs, or at least the first of 2 main events (Cibernetico/Manson/Chessman tend to end the program).

Manson was in the main event. I did not see the first main event because I was watching some mixed martial arts.

I thought Tna was promising but now it seems liek the inevitable downfall is coming. I think there needs to be an alternative to wwe though.

Angle won after Tomko attacked Christian.

So they've basically pulled the same "swerves" they and WCW always do

But fear not, because TNA will become a viable contender to WWE soon once they go live and not taped :wow:

Not trying to start an argument, but do you really feel Batista has improved to the point of not being carried? I think we need to see him in a match with a better talent than Mark Henry in order to judge fairly.

Guys like Taker, Edge, and even Mysterio could make a corpse look good in the ring. I have heard reports though that Batista was pretty impressive in his OVW days, however, in his book he stated that he wasn't very good at all and had a goofy character. In any event I haven't really paid much attention to his matches as of late.

Last match I saw Tista in was the steel cage match with Taker.

I think that being in with Henry and having a decent match is a good gauge of how he has improved, 2 years ago he wouldn't have known how to have a good match with him b/c Henry can do the monster heel/powerhouse match well but he cannot carry anyone, he needs the other guy to be able to hold his own and Batista did that and they had a good power match.

Another example would be his matches with MVP, who while good is not up to carrying anyone at this point, he can tailor himself to work with an opponent but Tista actually went to the mat with him.

what's funny is Russo's attitude toward the TNA locker room is seemingly the exact opposite of what he tried to make it out to be in WCW. Remember his "shoot" on Hogan at Bash at the Beach? He was all like "this company is on the shoulders of guys who are busting their asses every week... guys like Booker T and Jeff Jarrett, not these old rich guys like Hulk Hogan" (not his exact words, but you get the idea). Now, guys like Booker and Angle ARE those old rich guys, yet he is giving the the top spots and titles while the young guns of the TNA locker room are left out in the cold. TNA had potential to be the next ECW (although a much milder version). It had a fatithful, growing fanbase because people really saw it as the alternative because of guys like Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, and LAX. Now, instead of offering that alternative, they try to prove themselves by saying "hey, we're not WWE, but at least we have a bunch of guys they fired!"

but being a viable alternative to the wwe costs a lot of money, and no one is willing to spend that on professional wrestling...and the people who want that alternative cant afford it

Hogan attempted to create a company that would rival the WWE, but those plans never got off the ground after he failed to sell out an 18,000 seat arena in Memphis when he faced The Big Show last Summer.

MVP was a guest on the Opie and Anthony radio show on 1/25 and was quite open and honest about his life and career in the business. MVP was on the program for about an hour, and talked about being convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping in Florida. MVP said he served 9 ½ years of an 18 ½ year sentence for robbing a cruise ship. He was in prison from 1991 to 2000. MVP said he is half black and half white. He talked about Chris Benoit taking an interest in his career prior to him coming to WWE. He said the MVP character is basically all his creation. MVP said he wears spandex because that is his preference. He said he doesn’t have any controversial tattoos. He hinted to a match with Matt Hardy at Wrestlemania.

The incestuous angle featuring Katie Lea and Paul Burchill will debut on tonight’s edition of RAW. Burchill is featured in a match on tonight’s show against Brian Kendrick. Photos of Lea and Burchill have made their way online as this week’s edition of RAW was taped last week from Austin, Texas.

Speaking of tonight’s edition of RAW, the Jeff Hardy vs. Shawn Michaels match that headlines tonight’s show is said to be an outstanding match. The match is given pay-per-view time as it lasts a total of 17 minutes.
