It lasted 84 weeks and where is that show now big time ? oh yeah it sank b/c that gimmick ran it's course and Vince bought them like 2 dollar ****es by creating fresh exciting talent like Austin, Foley, Rock, HHH etc.... and the roster back then was full of ****, the best workers on the show were the Cruiserweights, Benoit and DDP, Sting was a good athlete and Flair an icon but Hall sucks, Nash is a lazy old fart that sucked the right ass in HBK and Hogan to get his spot, Luger sucked from day one and Hogan is like a cancer, why don't you try getting a grip.

The roster WWE had at that time with HBK, Taker, Mankind, Bulldog, Austin, Bret totally smoked that sack of crap that was held together not by talent but by a gimmick in the NWO that succeeded b/c kayfabe was in tact and enough keg swilling yanks thought it was real :o

WWE's current roster of HBK, Taker, HHH, Cena, Edge, Orton and Booker completely owns the has beens from that era, Sting and Flair would be the only guys to get a place, Hogan has survived all this time b/c of the 80's nostalgia.....to quote Cornette, "hogan is a household name but so is garbage and it stinks when it gets old as well".

We all have our opinions. :woot: It sank because Bischoff left, and Vince Russo took over. Downhill it went. Vince was going places that Turner was not going to go because of the southern bible belt audinces. Vince was doing crusifix scenes, and delving into the dark abiss of the dark side, and Turner was not about to go there. Vince is the 2 dollar ****e. He'd sell his own mother to make a rating point. To even consider doing an incest storyline with his own daughter is discussting, and vulger. Same with the Shawn Michaels and God storyline. Thank God they nixed that, because there was too much heat comming from the bible belt. Vince crawled down into the sewers, and Turner thankfully did not follow. So just believe that everything will take care of itself. Vince will pull WWE out of the toilet. I'll still take the WCW roster over the Raw roster anyday. Hasbins ? Hogan, Hall, Nash, Flair, Sting, Lugar, Benoit ? Thats as good as Foley calling Brusier Brodie, Stan Hansen, Dory Funk, Harley Race imaginary bad asses.

Nash and Hall were famous b.c HBK made them famous and yes they were has beens in the NWO era, surely you realise they were all late 40's right ? and Luger is a joke and always was one, Sting and Flair were the only caliber workers there and Vince made your other jock boys anyway.

WCW folded b/c they paid way to much money to cancer like Hogan and Nash and they held back all the other talent until their weezing stumbling asses could barely walk to the ring, they were a complete joke compared to Austin, Rock, Y2J, Angle and HHH all in their primes having great matches over on RAW in the same period, WWE made Benoit so you can discount him as he never got a shot in WCW.

Hunter. If you can't see that Vince is the problem, and chose not to respond to my comments about Vince, and how contemptable he is, and believe that all the WCW wrestlers were hasbins, then I can't help you. Live with the junk being put out, and be happy. :csad: I choose not to give 2 hours a week of my life to it.

Carp if you had actually read my other posts about Vince you'd know how pointless your last post was, what can't be done is ignore how many times Vince has made the industry successful, is the man an ******* ? yes but that has nada to do with making successful business.

All the WCW wrestlers in the main events during the NWO era WERE has beens, how can you not grasp this ? they could barely walk:huh:

Thats too bad that you didnt live with the benoits carpman, I wish it was you that was strangled :cmad:

any ways, the spoilers i read about the paternety angle is genious, and i rather like it.

If I may interject. Many of the wrestlers aren't has beens because they couldn't hang. They are has beens by choice. For instance Goldberg had a great run in the WWE, but he chose to leave. Vince has been trying to get sting for years, but Sting has declined several times.

Vince may have built wrestling, but he also runs them ragged. One of the reasons wrestling is in the crapper right now. Is because he has run off, or fired many of the wrestlers that made wrestleing worth watching ( Brock, & Angle to name few).

Brock has actaully wanted to come back for a while, but Vince has denied him. I still don't understand why. He would be a huge draw, but whatever.

A wise man once said "The sum of the whole, is greater then it's parts." That sums up the WCW roster. Sure they were past their prime, but they worked together as a team. As a whole. That's what you don't get. All those wrestlers past their prime worked together to make the WCW the best of it's time. They had all been around a long time. Expierence made up for what they lacked in talent. And that's why it beat Raw 84 in a row. Those hasbin, washed up wrestlers whooped the WWF at the time.

did any one post the paternety angle spoilers or should I?

Plain and simple. It's Vinces way, or the highway. He's the problem. As much credit as he should get for building the WWE, he also takes the majority of the blame for the state it is in. It works both ways. You can't take the credit when things are going well, then deflect the blame to someone else when it goes wroung.

You thinking what I'm thinking? :oldrazz:

lol:ninja:

The guys i was referring to were has beens b/c they'd had their run in the 80's and were old men who should have retired but kept on working and not just that but wanted to stay on top by stopping the younger wrestlers in that show getting up, i am talking of Hogan, Savage, Nash, Hall, Luger, all of which were mid 40's.

Vince may have built wrestling, but he also runs them ragged. One of the reasons wrestling is in the crapper right now. Is because he has run off, or fired many of the wrestlers that made wrestleing worth watching ( Brock, & Angle to name few).

No doubt he runs them ragged, the schedule is stupid that they work but Angle being insane is not Vince's fault.
Brock has actaully wanted to come back for a while, but Vince has denied him. I still don't understand why. He would be a huge draw, but whatever.

Vince doesn't want Brock b/c Brock is not trustworthy, he betrayed Vince after signing a deal and then slagged the business off after he left.

It was posted pages ago. Mr. Kennedy is the child. Feuds will take place between Shane, and Kennedy, with Steph. as the inocent one. Then HHH gets involved in a feude with the McManhons.

They didn't whoop them and they didn't work together to do it, read Flairs book, they were all stabbing each other in the back, it worked b/c kayfabe was still in tact and Bischoff booked an angle where it seemed the wrestlers were actually over throwing the company and enough gullible US fans thought it was legit, it had zero creativity but shock value will sell you some goods for a while and all the SWERVES worked..........but since you like old cliche's, "Who laughs last laughs longest".

WCW was like the big mouth rock star who takes a chick to the hotel room and is done in 5 minutes, the girl walks out with a gloomy face while WWE is the smooth movie star in the other room still nibbling on his hotties neck with one hand down her pants giving her multiples before he even cracks third:o

Spoken like a true wise man.

And we are suppose to take everything in Flair's book literally ? :woot: Remember Bischoffs book. Controversity Creates Cash. He tells a different story. Whatever it was Kayfabe, or Bischoff doing the boogie, woogie dance naked, it worked for some of the most exciting, entertaining promotional wrestling ever. You had some of the biggest egos ever in wrestling. I'm sure there was a lot of backstabbing going on, but when it was showtime they performed like the professionals they were. And that is what made WCW great. The profesiolism of the wrestlers. Putting difference aside for the betterment of the company. I don't blame Eric for suing Flair. If I had a contract with someone, and they refused to perform for whatever personnel reasons, I'd sue them too.

really? cuz I was busy watching WWF, when a guy named Rocky Maivia was a hired gun by the mcmahns to get rid of SCSA. :o

I never cared for WCW, ever. I was too busy telling my friends who were throwing up the wolf pac hand sign in gym to suck it.

This line is absolute bull**** and proves you don't know what you're talking about. If Hogan was a ****ing pro, he wouldn't have just laid on the ground and let Sting pin him at Starrcade and completely **** over the fans. He would have given them a match and get beat clean by Sting.

EDIT: It was Halloween Havoc, my bad

WCW was far better than WWE is today, but I like that. :woot:

and TNA is that same rockstar 20 years later, trying to put the band back together, but instead of original members, he gets his son to play drums :o
