So that's half the card ? oh and Matt/MVP isn't happening but no love for super worker Finlay vs your boy Kane ?:wow:

It could do if they don't make a complete cock of it like they did at the last PPV by botching a load of stuff.

I'd love to see Kane/Finlay. I didn't know they were having a match as I haven't seen Smackdown for quite sometime. I could careless about Orton/Cena as I have a feeling Cena will win, I could careless about Khali/Batista, and could careless about Booker/Triple H since we all know who's going to win that match.

No, I don't hear the pops or Batista chants. If he's getting them it's only because he's feuding with Khali. Seriously who gives a flying **** about Khali anyways? Where's the chants when he was feuding with Edge? Where were the chants when he was feuding with Eddie? There were none because fans could careless about him to begin with.

Against Eddie ? no b/c Eddie was beloved, you obviously watched the macthes agaisnt Edge with the sound off:dry:

I don't recall HBK/Jericho having a second match. The match I remember was when Orton gave HBK the RKO and then he passed out in the Walls of Jericho. In which I do not call a clean finish in anyway shape or form, and where were his clean jobs to Shelton?

Then i suggest youtbue.
Why in the hell would he job to a lazy half ass like Shelton ?

The Jericho/HHH feud I'm talking about is the one when he was Undisputed Champion.

Then why were you surprised he lost ?

No one cares about Khali/Batista but the return of HHH is huge, just like Rey we know who is gonna win but the return of an icon is always gonna generate huge heat, as for Cena/Orton, your loss.

Wow...a lot of so called debate on here lately. I usually like coming in here and seeing what people are saying. Hell I'm really only a passing fan but I have to say looks like some lines are being drawn.

I find it rather funny actually it's like coming in here and seeing it's a wrestling match written out in front of me. You've got the Hunter Rider et al on one side and Carp Man on the other.

Not that anyone cares but here's my two cents. Last Sunrise and Carp Man I really don't see anyone on here touting Vince as the be all end all. Almost everyone admits that he's made mistakes and is making mistakes. I think most just think that he should get credit where credit is due. He's the one who really brought wrestling up to another degree. I haven't seen anyone saying that the product is perfect as is.

I don't even think that bringing in a new faction would work right now. I mean yeah it worked for WCW but I think it would be a harder sell now. For one thing with NWO weren't a lot of those guys acting as enemies when they were with WWE? Bringing 'em in a letting people see them as taking over I could see why people would want to watch that. But consider this WCW was on top for what 84 weeks but WWE was on top for how long before and after that?

I think the problem is that Vince thinks that he can get away with anything he wants and people will watch. THere's no competition in wrestling anymore that was worked with WCW vs WWE. TNA isn't close to be able to compete with the WWE right now, hell even i think it's pretty much garbage.

Like all businesses wrestling needs to evolve sometimes it just takes time to find what is going to work. I agree that Vince is on TV too much, that they should be pushing some of the "younger" guys, Cena has been pushed too much and forced on everyone. But remember VInce will always bow to the fans eventually, ratings faded and he came back and people watched so of course he's going to come out more if he thinks it'll get ratings up.

As for the whole Bret thing, as much as I liked the guy and respect him he is a baby for harping on it for so long, and so is Vince. But then Canadians seem to keep it in their minds to and so Vince will play to it. Yes HBK is a jerk for doing what he did and acting the way he did, but Bret really needs to let it go. It happened what 10 years ago? Time to move on, I think he has in some ways but going to the HOF ceremony and saying he would leave if he saw HBK that's just lame. You know what you're there for the fans because they wanted it because people respected what you did enough to want you there get over yourself.

Again just my 2 cents and the way I see things. I shall leave now and go back to lurking and enjoying the "debates" the little shots you guys make at one another and of course the diva pics.

Not my loss. I just know Cena will become Superman and will overcome the odds again like always. Shelton wasn't lazy then. He was putting on great matches with Jericho, Carlito, and HBK during that timespan.

I agree he's become lazy now though. I don't know what made him become lazy to begin with.

Those matches were pretty much carries.

Your loss in that it's probably gonna be a great match but i guess you're so blinded by hate for Cena you can't see past it.

Shelton has always been a lazy botcher with no charisma who could pull off some great athletic spots.

Cena wont lose today, next month he will.

Finlay connects with his foreign object and gets a long two count on Kane. Finlay whips Kane into the turnbuckles where he buries his head into his chest. Out of nowhere Kane is able to counter and connects with the chokeslam. He makes the cover for the three count.

Winner - Kane

Backstage Segment - McMahon, General Managers

We're backstage with the general managers of all three brands, Jonathan Coachman, and Mr. McMahon. They all argue over something as McMahon talks to Estrada and Theodore Long.
Santino Marella comes in with his arm in a sling and talks to Mr. McMahon. William Regal kicks him out as MVP walks in. MVP tells McMahon he doesn't know if he is his son but he would like to issue an open challenge to Matt Hardy tonight. He said he doesn't want a wrestling match but it will be worthy of SummerSlam.

McMahon says he would be proud if MVP were his son. Regal says that Mr. McMahon's son would be more dignified than MVP. Regal walks out.

Coachman tells McMahon he's been to England and there is no way that he did an English woman.

Somehow Kennedy is able to send Umaga to the outside. Kennedy connects a monster slam on Carlito, he goes for the count but Umaga is back in. Umaga lands the pin on Kennedy for the three count.

Winner: Umaga (still Intercontinental Champion)

Rey is...covered in silver paint?

Yay, Umaga wins again. :whatever: Why not just staple the intercontinental championship to his waist?

Wtf?

It's not like he's held it forever.

You're ridiculous.

Surprised Kennedy took the pin there. I figured Umaga would get the win, just over Carlito.

Mysterio goes for 619 but is unable to complete it again. Chavo goes for the control but Mysterio finally dials up 619. Mysterio goes off of the top rope into what was almost a flying headbutt. Mysterio covers Chavo for the three count!

Winner - Rey Mysterio

Because he's had it long enough. I know Umaga has some fans here, but I don't care simply due to the fact that I never cared for him to begin with. I can only hope that either Kennedy, Carlito, or a returning Jeff Hardy defeats him for the Intercontinental Championship.

That depends on whether or not Jeff is in the doghouse or not.
