Lol, I remember watching the WrestleMania 21 main event round at my mates. Almost everyone fell asleep through it.

I've almost completely gone off the WWE in the last year. They should just rename Raw and Smackdown to WWE Cena and WWE Batista respectively. :down

I prefer the Pokemon route with WWE Red and Blue. Then they try and catch all the independant wrestlers they can, problem is WWE pokemon wrestlers can only learn 4 moves so they have to forget a few when coming over :(.

Lol, I kid, I kid :). Couldn't resist.

The following matches are scheduled for tonight's edition of TNA Impact:

- Non-Title Match: Awesome Kong © vs. Miss Brooks
- Rat on a Pole Match: Kaz vs. Black Reign
- X-Division Title Match: Johnny Devine © vs. Homicide
- The Rock and Rave Infection vs. Curry Man and Shark Boy
- AJ Styles vs. Tiger Mask
- Christian Cage vs. Judas Mesias

Rat on a Pole Match, you must be loving this Sabre.

Seriously, WTF is a rat on a pole match? This match has been rumored for 2 or so weeks now....WTF is it?

My guess is since it's TNA Russo style, that they hang a dead rat on a pole. Then all 40 wrestlers start outside of the ring, they then have to try and get inside the ring. Once 39 wrestlers get in the ring they have to toss all but 30 back out of the ring. Then those 9 wrestlers that got tossed out have to have a mexican broken glass pinata match. While the other 30 have to fight and lose to Angle. Then the 2 wrestlers to get their mouths cut up from teh Pinata match candy first then have to run in and eat the dead rat on a pole, and whoever doesn't get a disease gets to job to Angle at the next PPV.

...

Damn, that's better than my idea of a New Jack on a Poll match (which TNA never got back to me about). Might have to email them this as well.

Ha! Nice one.

SD is Batista-centric? When did that happen?

Almost since they gave him Orton's spot back before WrestleMania 21. Though its not as bad as Cena on Raw, its not far off. If he hasn't got the title he's still in the running, I'm almost certain he'll win the Elimination Chamber at NWO then go on to win the strap back at WM.

Its as though the titles on each show belong to Cena and Batista. I mean they both originally gave the titles up due to injury, and its as though the carriers of the belt in the meantime are just paper champions keeping it warm for them.

and of course they leave out one of the most memorable WM moments/superstars... guy goes and kill his family and suddenly you can't include him on dvds

I even said right when Cena got hurt that anyone holding the wwe title is a placeholder untill his return....and at No way or wrestlemania out I will probably be proven right

the general public does tend to frown on that sort of thing...the wwe is simply playing it safe is including Benoit on anything would bring a public relations firestorm....I dont blame them....maybe in a few years, they will begin to include him again

I even said right when Cena got hurt that anyone holding the wwe title is a placeholder untill his return....and at No way or wrestlemania out I will probably be proven right

Agreed. Evidence to that is the keeping of the Spinner Belt, I would have thought they would have reverted back to the original title as they did with the "Smoking Skull" Belt. But no, its as if that is the official title now, and its pretty ugly too.

It was the same when Rock, Austin and HHH dominated, the only thing was they had to take turns b/c there wasn't 2 separate belts then.

Taker will win the Elimination Chamber.

Well yeah.

I even said right when Cena got hurt that anyone holding the wwe title is a placeholder untill his return....and at No way or wrestlemania out I will probably be proven right

I think it's all merely leading to a long HHH run with Cena chasing.

The reason they kept the belt is b/c it's one of the biggest merch items they sell.

World Wrestling Entertainment has severed all ties with Ohio Valley Wrestling. Effective immediately, OVW will no longer be a WWE developmental territory. Here are the details:

-- A meeting was held today with all contracted developmental talent. WWE's John Laurinaitis and Ty Baily made the announcement that all of the contracted wrestlers training at OVW there would be heading to Florida Championship Wrestling - which is now WWE's only developmental territory.

-- WWE wants all of their developmental talent in one place. From a logistical standpoint, it didn't make business sense to have their developmental talent in Kentucky, specially since so many WWE employees live in Florida.

- Talent was told that there will be no releases stemming from OVW shutting down and that they will all be relocated to Tampa after finishing a few more weeks in OVW.

- Talent was told the trainers in FCW would be Tom Prichard, Steve Keirn, former WWE star Billy Kidman

- FCW is slated to run its first official TV taping later this month and there have been plans in place to run a regular schedule of live events in Florida.

The move had been suspected for some time as the amount of contracted talents working in Louisville had dwindled greatly in the last year and morale in OVW overall had fallen. Over the years, OVW has groomed a number of WWE's biggest stars, including Brock Lesnar, Batista, John Cena and Randy Orton, among others.

I saw this coming for a while now, so no big shock, and I think it'll be good for them to have all their talent in one place. It'll certainly be better for either winnowing out the weaker performers or raising the level of those pretty much guaranteed to be in the WWE.

Maybe, but even so they should have learned that although they dominated it wasn't always one and the same superstar with the strap, there was some alternating. Now it just seems its all Cena, you would have thought they would have alternated a bit more to keep it fresh, regardless of the brand split and there being two titles.

Taker will win the Elimination Chamber.
Well if it ain't gonna' be Batista, it'll be Taker.

Thats true. This is also the reason why Cena is the guy always holding the belt. He sells the most merchandise.

- A street team from Booker T's PWA promotion was at last night's SmackDown/ECW tapings handing out flyers. The flyers promote the February 16th PWA show which is scheduled to feature Booker T, Kaz, and 2 Cold Scorpio.

- Both Rey Mysterio and Batista signed autographs for fans after their dark match main event at last night's tapings.

- According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE signed 2007 Diva Search contestant Taryn Terrell this week. Terrell is a native of New Orleans and had a one week training tryout in Ohio Valley Wrestling.

- John Laurinaitis and Ty Bailey (the head of WWE developmental) will be heading to Louisville, KY tomorrow for a meeting with Valley Wrestling developmental talent. They will then both head to Tampa, FL to meet with Florida Championship Wrestling developmental talent.

He's also consistently the best top face on the roster.

And also John Cena (who will win the WWE Title at NWO) and William "Umanga" Regal

Smackdown leaves the CW:

WWE has issued the following statement:

After a successful decade of "SmackDown" on both UPN and The CW, World Wrestling Entertainment and The CW have agreed to conclude our partnership. Since The CW's exclusive negotiation period ran out as of last Thursday, January 31, we have been contacted and have been in negotiations with other networks. "WWE SmackDown" will continue to air on The CW until the conclusion of the 2007-08 broadcast season. We are grateful to Les Moonves, Dawn Ostroff, and their entire organization for bringing "WWE SmackDown" to millions of viewers for so many years.
