I've done the recut! I've got it as a file. I put the original Wolverine vs X-kids speech intercut with Beast's Shakespeare quote. All the alternate fighting, the alt Jean w/ Magneto's camp, the Xavier monologue, Wolverine returning to Canada at the end without the staring out of the X-mansion ending. I have two versions, one with Rogue taking the cure, one without. Depending if DOFP references it will depend on which version I will keep.

I also have a third version where after Xavier and Magneto visit young Jean, it cuts a scene from XMO: Wolverine where he's in Nigeria and with the young Storm cameo. Then it goes into Angel's scene...

I was also trying to cut around Xavier walking at the start but I'm not quite sure how to do it right...

Awesome man. All those cuts sound pretty good. We need this in HD! (blu ray quality) of course lol. Wolvy returning to Canada at the end of X3 works a million times better with The Wolverine. I have no idea why Ratner made such idiotic decisions when cutting. His commentary on those deleted scenes absolutely infuriates me.

and henzINNIT theres seriously no other way to experience these movies properly other than in the HD format, so by all means try to upgrade asap! Its 100% worth it! The quality is amazing.

Hah Ratner is not a hack by any means. Fans need to stop blaming him for the way X3 turned out

Wow now that i think about it, a huge negative.... the [BLACKOUT]ninja fight in the snow[/BLACKOUT] was cut to shreds.

Am I right in this? or is it just me not remembering any of it clearly. Im watching a TV spot and the there [BLACKOUT]was no chains, no cigar...[/BLACKOUT] in the actual movie that I remember...

It doesn't effect the overall finished movie at all, but very disappointing I didn't see that...

That's one of the scenes Mangold shot fully but had to cut down due to rating. If he gets his way we'll get the full, bloody 15 minute fight on the blu-ray

I sure hope so. I was so excited for that scene, but it kind of just buzzed by! I didnt even realize that none of it happened lol.

Wow, I really hope they release that unrated dvd/Blu ray this winter instead of waiting another year after the PG-13 version is in stores. knowing Fox they will push the pg-13 one first to make the initial money, then double dip...

I noticed that fight scene seemed cut down too. It was much shorter than I expected. Damn, I hope we get that on the blu-ray.

I was impressed with how violent the movie still was. Even having to stay within the bounds of PG-13 and not splashing blood all over the screen, there were plenty of moments where I was flinching in my seat from how visceral it was. Like [BLACKOUT]Logan getting hit with all of the arrows, and that impromptu surgery scene that I had no idea was coming.[/BLACKOUT]

There's a lot of blood in the movie. Splashing, dripping, all over people. Didn't expect that. One thing I can't stand about bloody scenes in most R-rated movie is how nonsensical it is. Punisher War Zone and Django Unchained looked like cartoons. People don't gush three pints of blood everytime they get cut.

I almost like it better when they're constrained to the PG-13 rating, because then they have to make it work without falling back on splashing blood everywhere.

Indeed, Ive had that thinking all along because I never liked wolverine for the violence and bloodshed growing up. Hell the 90s cartoon had absolutely none of that! Everyone seemed to love that soooo....

I love Wolverine for his attitude, his look (the costume, the hair) the mutant abilities he has, and the badass looking claws among other things. I never really cared or noticed the blood splatter. The comics usually don't even have that much blood in them. I really don't understand where people are getting this from honestly. Read the dang Japan Saga... The movie actually has MORE blood than the comic its friggin based on.

There are some stories that are ridiculously over the top violent, yes.. but really since wolverine has been introduced its always been about how he handles himself and his attitude, not the pure bloodshed or limb dismemberment. Whats presented in this movie is the perfect amount of violence. I don't believe Wolverine HAS to be R rated to be done right. Thats just simply foolish to say.

Saw it today and it is pretty terrific, like the first two acts better, last 15 min a bit too generic, or at least, compared to the rest of the movie, fight in the snow hugely cut down indeed, I didn't even realize it and I saw all trailers, tv spots, etc, can't wait for extended version.

Logan is so brutal in this movie, love how animal he is, Japan setting is terrific, the action sequences (the final fight, while still good, not as good as the rest) are fantastic: bullet train, temple, absolutely brutal and badass.

By the way, the Nagasaki sequence, HOLY **** at the low end bass, it was insane in my theater. Love Yukio, Harada and Yashida are pretty cool too, very beginning in forest is fantastic too, love the parallel with the
bear

Oh yes, the tease at the end is just incredible, I was squirming in my seat from all the excitement ^^

Can someone pleaseeee post the after credits scene in spoiler tags haha, please!

Logan is passing airport security, he's seeing a commercial for Trask industries (or something) on the tv, he turns around because he sees coins, and objects levitating in a box, it's Magneto right behind him, he tells him an evil force is coming and they need to unite (if I remember correctly), then suddenly everything stops moving, Professor Xavier shows up, Logan says he doesn't understand, that he's dead, Charles says Logan is not the only one to have this kind of power. And then, I don't remember what Charles say, but I think it stops here.

Here Is what I have heard
2 years after main events of film Wolverine Is at airport. He Is getting padded down by security with on TV a commercial for trrask Industries Is playing wolverine Is frozen and sees Magneto. He tells wolverine about a threat to their kind and wants him to join him wolverine says why should I and then wolverine Is shocked to see Xavier come up In wheelchair having mental frozen others at airport.Wolverine asks how Is this possable and xavier responds "I told you before Your not the only with gifts"

Thanks! :woot:

And that's why I've been asking people not to write about that scene. A crappy three sentence description does it no justice and actually makes it seem stupid. It's 3 minutes of tension, not action.

Thank you for calling my description crappy, it's an honor. He's asking, so I describe it for him, what's the problem? He'll see what it looks like when he does. Get off your high horse.

Not on a high horse, it's a crappy description. That's not a personal attack on you. Read what you wrote (or any other two/three sentence description) and see if it evokes the same feel of the scene itself. There's a reason those of us who saw the movie earlier have been avoiding detailing the scenes. Context is key. Considering how many people are already (and have been) talking negatively about that scene some of us are trying to stop the hate train

I'm doing a basic description because that's basically what happens. That scene is fantastic, everyone says it is, let's put it to bed.

For anyone whose seen the woverine I ask one thing, please tell me the jean and Logan stuff isn't done In a way that looks like she is his love interest, like an ex gf Logan lost
