Hoping for a China release.

Saw today on Twitter that Hugh was spotted at the airport in NYC so he's presumably on his way to Japan for the Aug. 28 premiere.

Hah, many others have said that too. I'll look out for spiderman caps later this year when I get my Wolverine blu-ray.

I'd almost forgotten what he looked like without the sideburns...

Haha, yeah. Between the new film opening and shooting DoFP.. I forgot they weren't permanent fixtures.

Is he always in such a good mood or can he just keep up the happy face for unhumanly long periods of time?
Yeah, he pretty much looks like that all the time - and this is after a long flight from NYC (ok, flying First Class, but still...). There are also photos of him signing autographs at the airport and being mobbed by fans.

Follow the official Twitter site for premiere updates - looks like most of the cast is there and photos are being posted on the left.

Here's one - nice entrance on top Hugh!

Getting interested on how much the japanese people like the Wolverine. What's the best site to get some collective reactions in english? This one I'm currently on?

I wonder if that was the Japanese theater program that guy was holding up when he was showing that picture. I have those for X1, X2, and Origins, and they're really cool. I can't read a word of them, but the photos are awesome.

I was going to get the programs for X3 and First Class when that convention comes back in October and I was hoping they'd have one for The Wolverine too.

Here's a question for everyone; one of the main concepts of this film was how Logan was weary for having lived for so long, and if you take his birth date from Origins into canon, then he's been around for about 2 centuries..but considering his memory was wiped presumably around the 80's, he only has memories that lasts him for about 30 years so can he really say that he's "weary" from having lived for so long?

Well, he has flashbacks that let him know that he's a lot older than that. His state at the start of the movie isn't solely just because he's lived so long (that was Yashida's assumption), it's because he'd lost so much and he knows that he'll continue to lose anyone he cares about because he'll outlive them.

One thing I would like to have seen is Logan not dismissing Yashida's proposal so quickly. I think it would have been better if it struck a chord in some part of Logan's soul and he considered it for a few moments and then gave a good response on why he preferred to keep the healing power. He was just very quick to turn around and want to go home.

Nice

Its gonna have a sick WW gross.

I thought that wouldn't happen. So, nice. Very nice.

The Wolverine will get close to or even surpass Origns in World Wide Box office numbers.

It'll definitely pass Origins in WW gross. It's roughly at $360 million WW now before Japan or (looking hopeful) China. It should do more than $13 million in Japan.
