So is Flash. I'd assume even not running at the Speed of Light, which I'm sure he's done several times in comics and once in the Justice League cartoon fighting Brainic Lex if I remember correctly.

Speedsters in general are unstoppable, the only way to stop them is by introducing someone with a power that counters the speed or including plotholes in the story to make sure the speedster doesn't win within five seconds of the comic/movie/whatever they're in.

Quote from Wikipedia's entry on Speedsters

Basically. Super speed in general is broken and OP as ****. The reason people constantly are saying Peter was OP was because of the slo-mo kitchen scene, which is pretty much what all speedsters see when doing their thing at super speed. People are making a big deal about it even though its pretty much a staple of super speed and speedsters in general.

You're literally the first person to understand what I was saying...thank you.

No prob, I love speedsters so I'm pretty knowledgeable about them and super speed. The slo-mo stuff is pretty much a default perception for speedsters. I hate when it is used too much though, because lots of people mistake it for stopping time. That's why I wish when they use it they have a streak trail behind the speedster, so the audience will know it's not stopping time and the speedster moving normally, he's still moving superfast and everything moving slow is just his perspective. Smallville did that a few times when they used slo-Mo. They would still have everything slow but would have either Clark making ripples in the air while running, or do the streak trail behind him. I liked it.

Damn you, now I want this.

I do too, whether it's him being a dick while they are enemies(QS against the avengers and siding with Ultron), or even just some friendly teasing when he joins the avengers like it was in TWS with Steve and Sam in the jogging scene.

Quicksilver would never be polite enough to say "On Your Left".

He's more likely to accidentally clip you or just laugh as you eat his dust. The only response to that would be to gage his speed and trip his @zz on the next trip around. :cwink:

IDK, It seems like a sarcastic thing QS could say. Like him asking Hawkeye "You didn't see that coming" after he knocked him down.

It's funny because his name is HawkEYE and he didn't SEE it. hehehehe.

Exactly lol. Which is why I can see him doing something like "on your left" to Cap. It's totally in character for him to do something snarky like that.

I think he'd have to had seen the movie in order for it to be sarcastic. Otherwise that's common runner courtesy and courteous he's not. :woot:

Anthony Mackie was at the Seattle CC and he said this about AoU

“With Falcon and Cap, what’s so great is there’s a mutual respect, There’s a soldier respect. What’s great about ‘Age of Ultron’ and ‘Captain America: Civil War’ is you get to see their relationship grow.”

Anthony Mackie talking about Steve and Sam’s growing relationship

source there is more on what he shared.

The bromance has still more room to grow?

Man, I can see bro-marriage by the time Civil War comes :woot:

:funny: That's one of my all-time favorite Parks & Rec quotes.

It's a sad thing to say, but I'm more excited for Steve-Sam bromance than any kind of romantic approach between Steve and the plain, boring MCU Sharon Carter ^^U

Well, I could ship Steve with any female in the film before her :woot:

I'd ship Steve/Fury before that. :cmad:

It's amazing that he had chemistry with every one else in the movie except the one set up to be the future love interest. I really hope they just drop that idea from the third.

Nothing would make me happier, believe me! I hope there was an efficient channel to share our opinion with the Russo's. Enough of us and they could change their mind.

It's not like Cap will have a lot of spare time in Civil War for love interests :woot:
I would really like to see Steve happy with a good, deserving woman, at last. But if there is none worthy, he is better alone!

Is it really? I didn't know that. So I'm confused, when he was saying on your left he was just being courteous? I thought it was friendly teasing because he was running faster than Sam.

Yes, it's runner (and I think cyclist) etiquette to give a warning that someone is coming up behind and will pass you on the left so scares and collisions are avoided.

Though I'm sure Steve heard Sam's "Don't say it" the following times and it probably served a joint purpose of teasing and it's why he joined him after the run.

Considering one of the Russos' explanations for why they didn't pursue a Steve/Nat romance was lack of time and other world shaking important things to do I'd be hard pressed to figure out how or why they'd squeeze in Steve/Sharon unless it was to play lip service to their comic counterparts. And yes Steve deserves the best and if he can't have that then just leave it.

I'd wonder if the Ultron bots are another chance to make Steve realize he's not really that special compared to Iron Man, Hulk or Thor. You'd have him trying to punch these iron robots with lasers and not being very effective. Then some one has to cheer him on or something because he's the leader of the team.

If he can take down a jet with his shield he shouldn't have trouble with bots. He doesn't require cheer leading so he doesn't feel inferior; he didn't require that when he was a 95lb asthmatic with a bad heart and a crooked spine.

You say that as if it was a positive thing to happen. You aren't much of a fan of Cap, are you?
As TalismanRing said, Steve's spirit never breaks. He is the one who inspires people around him, even when all odds are against them, not the other way around.
And he will show he is more than good enough to keep up with them, you can count on it.

Why in the world would Steve ever think he's not special enough? Sure, he still sees himself as just a kid from Brooklyn, but he's also a fighter. He didn't back down from bullies when he was skinny and sick, he sure as hell doesn't back down from them now.

Steve gets the job done. He knows the Avengers need a leader, and he steps in because he has experience leading a team, knowing how to use his squad's talents/powers, and because he's the right man for the job. Period.

ULTRON knows everything about the Avengers, so I think he'll use that to mess with them personally.
