"I think it's almost like high school. You're kind of always looking ahead, about when you'll graduate, but then when graduation day arrives you kind of don't want to leave," Evans said. They specifically hire people who are not only great actors, but are extremely likable and happy to joke around during interviews and stuff.

The actors market themselves, the movies and the brand better than any billboard or TV spot ever could.

This is probably why it's taking so long for them to find the right Spider-Man. It's not just about the looks, charisma and acting chops, but they have to also have great chemistry with the cast and with the public. And the age of the actor they are looking for, an age where people are not even out of the gate trying to find themselves, it's going to be tough.
