If it was anything like that, we'd have seen it on the set pics. It's one thing I'm worried about; seeing so little action outside.
I don't know...
I know there were reports of smoke being pumped into one of the city sets... There's no smoke without fire
Don't forget, we haven't seen ANY set pics from the chicago shoot, have we? If we'd seen plenty of pics of the chicago shoot and nothing in it indicated a big fight scene, then I'd be a bit more worried. But they just simply haven't let anything be leaked...
Which actually makes me think they are MORE concerned with covering up the Metropolis fight scene than they are the Smallville one, which we've seen a hell of a lot of pics for.
But hey, I could be completely wrong. Maybe the Smallville fight or the Airbase scene are the final showdowns. I'm sure they'll still be amazing.
I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for a Metropolis fight... It fits with the fangirl ideas I had for the movie![]()
I truly hope that's the case.
I'd hate to think that the action scale of this film will be of that like the action sequence in New Mexico for "Thor".
This is a big concern of mine also but what keeps me positive is I cant imagine Zack Synder making a film that would feel as small scale as Thor.
Here's the thing, if they're filming outside, there's nothing they can do to stop leaks. Nolan is one of the most secretive directors around, but even he couldn't prevent the constant snapshots every day he filmed.I don't know...

I just don't like studio sets because they almost never come off as convincing. Your avvy for example, I'm almost positive that is green screen. It takes me out of the experience for a bit.If anything, I just see the final climactic scene taking place where it happens in ONE specific area in the city (that can easily be filmed within a studio lot), with Superman and Zod having flown through Metropolis, and having a fight mid air, causing the people of Metropolis to run in fear like we saw them having filmed.

Does anyone think their likely to be taking much from Last Son?
I've just bought it, haven't read it yet, but just flicking through I could see how it could be quite appropriate
I'll post more on the matter when i've read it (might be a few days due to work) but has anyone else read it?

Pretty certain they are. As some of us have stated in the past. Nolans, Goyer and Snyder will probably taking inspiration from Last Son, Birthright, For All Seasons, Byrnes Man of Steel run, Secret Origins, and maybe a little stuff from Johns Braniac run.
you dont like the bad studio sets. big difference.the rotating shot from Avengers is fake . why? becaus they filmd with bad studio spot lights inside. why? who knows.I just don't like studio sets because they almost never come off as convincing. It's a very well done shot, but even in theaters I noticed it was just a good fake. Most of the CGI in Kong had a paint-like sheen to it, which I'm sure was intentional. you know how you film big streets with greenscreen? like this

it is possible to build a small part and then extend it. Nolan also had this option. but he said NO. i will spoil everything because he is obssesed with real location and realism.
The cheesy costumes still ruin the illusion though.![]()

Yeah. They made CA's outfit worse than it was in the solo film. Black Widows hair is horrible. Thors suit still looks like a Halloween costume.
Arrghh

The sfx in fantasy or period movies get extra scrutiny because we know they can’t be real – even though they’re well done technically.
There’s something informally known as the “toupée fallacy.” It begins as a claim that fakery is always easy to spot. But it’s a fallacy because there’s no way of knowing how many really good fakes escaped notice.
