Transformers THE storyline revealed (ish!)

Jeez...more panic attacks before we even see any film development. I'm with Dynamo...I like the idea of a Back to the Future type exciting movie. It sounds refreshing. This is the first movie in what we hope to be a decent ongoing franchise. You people want the WHOLE Transformers history in 1 movie. Get real and quit crying.

hmmm im not too thrilled with this concept but im definatley gonna sit back and see how things develop. I mean most of us dont want a family film but this film has to appeal to a wide audience cause there's kids now that are into another generation of transformers.

This news is old and out dated. Don Murphy and Bay have debunked this "family film" rumor and already said it will be PG-13 and both humans and robots will die in it. Furthermore there are going to be 4 ongoing storylines in the film, it will end with a one on one between Optimus and Megatron in LA.

not only that but he picked wrong movie to say hed spend his money on.... at least say ur gonna see spidey 3 xtra times instead of transformers...jeeeeeeez

I still don't see why people are nitpicking Spike getting a car...seeing as how most of the cartoon was at first about Bumblebee hanging out with Spike and the comic was about Buster (essentially spike) hanging out with Bumblebee (and sometimes Ratchet).

So is the "boy gets his first car angle" still the main theme for this movie or not because reading this messageboard gives me conflicting news, someone says it is is and someone else says it´s not.

And what of Moriaritys interview with Bay on aintitcool.com a couple of weeks back where Bay stated that the "boy gets his first car" angle is what made him to do the movie in the first place.

He did say there'd be about 4 different plotlines running through the movie.

I imagine the "boy and his car" plot will be the most important one, but there will be others as well to appeal to the "explosions!" crowd.

Thats how Spike is ropped into the plot. This is no more a boy and his car than More than meets the eye was about a "boy and his jeep (Hound)". Spike and his relationship to Bumblebee is obviously a major part of the movie since you cannot introduce his character and then have him be a bump on a log. As I said this "boy and his car" is the same as saying Batman Begins is about "a boy and his butler". Yes its a part of the movie, its not the movie itself.

Yeah I know...do people realize how big a part Spike was to that comic/cartoon? The second to last issue (79) in Marvel was all about him (and Fortress Maximus). And the show, he [Spike] was part of the main cast of EVERY season 1 and 2 episode (even Daniel didn't do that, he was abscent from many).
