When I was a kid I would've killed to have the action figures pictured above. Only problem I have with them is there's nothing for them to do. The action figures pictured above are the only ones Toynami makes from the series. Which is unfortunate because there are a lot of great characters they can make action figures of.

If I were to design Thundarr action figures, I would design them to be more like Barbies.

Princess Ariel: 11" tall, removable clothing, synthetic hair (not painted on), and fully posable. Bendable ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, elbows, and wrists. Fully movable head. She'll also come with plastic glow in the dark spell effects.

Thundarr The Barbarian: 12" tall, synthetic hair (not painted on), removable clothes, fully posable. Bendable ancles, knees, hips, shoulders, elbows, and wrists. Hands that open & close. Fully movable head. Two sunswords, one with the blade ignited, one without.

Ookla The Mok: 13" tall, synthetic hair (not painted on), fuzz all over the body, removable clothes, fully posable. Bendable ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, elbows, and wrists. Hands that open and close and a fully movable head. Comes with a mok bow and a quiver of stun arrows. The mok bow is strung with an elastic, thus it can actually shoot the stun arrows.

The point of designing them this way is that if the manufacturers don't make figures of the villains, then the kids can use their sisters Ken & Barbie dolls as the villains and allies.

A Thundarr The Barbarian Video Game

Level 1
Stage 1: Escape Sabien's Dungeon
Princess Ariel frees Thundarr and Ookla from her stepfather's dungeon (similar to the opening of the P.O.W. Video game). Now that their cell is open, the three of them have to fight their way past dungeon guards. Along the way they can open doors to other prison cells, freeing other slaves, for extra points. Some of the guards drop keys when they're beaten, which can be used to open cell doors. Ookla and Thundarr can also knock down the doors, but this is time consuming and uses energy. Some of the cells contain dangerous monsters which Ariel, Ookla, and Thundarr will then have to fight once they've been let loose. Some guards drop weapons, which the three heroes can pick up and use. The boss of Stage 1 is the captain of the guard.

Stage 2: The Vault
Thundarr, Ariel, and Ookla are crossing Sabien's palace. There are guards and automated defence systems (laser canons that pop out of the floor and ceiling, etc). With Halloween just around the corner, it just accured to me that Thundarr The Barbarian was a great source for Halloween costumes that was never tapped. Of course back then if they had made costumes of the characters from the show, it probably would've been a plastic jumpsuit the kids wouls wear over top of their clothes with the picture of the character they were supposed to be on the chest (Thundarr, Ariel, or Ookla) with their name printed just above or below them, and a cheap-assed plastic mask of the character's face with an elastic on it to hold it up. That's what my incredible Hulk and Spiderman costumes were like anyway.

Today kids have green cloth bodysuits with fake muscles sewn in for an Incredible Hulk costume. Hell, they even have those in adult sizes. So why not do Thundarr, Ariel, and Ookla? Of course, the costumes for little girls who wanna dress up as Princess Ariel would be full body unitards with tanned fleshtone sleeves, back, and legs. Having a bunch of little girls running around in nothing but blue one piece swimsuits and yellow go-go boots on Halloween isn't exactly the wisest thing in the world to let your kids do.

Spider-Man 2 and 3 figures similar to Spider-Man 1's line of figures so we could've got a MJ for SM2 and Gwen and Eddie for SM3

A new DCUC Bane figure would be awesometown if he could stand upright and had some torso articulation.

I wish the Marvel Legends Walmart Exclusive Nemesis Wave existed. I've been waiting for Nova since May of '08.

indeed... im very angry that people on here have seen them... and simply "passsed" get them for us you crazy sob! lol

I know. I just want Nova, okay? One figure, that's all. Is that too much to ask?!

Oh, and I wish there was a person at WalMart that they put in charge of the toy department and that person knew what was coming in and more importantly, when. I wish they existed.

Hot Toys making comic-style figures of superheroes, instead of just the movie versions.

i saw the nemesis wave
and yes,passed
no figures interested me
there was a solid 4 or 5 cases worth
now all thats left is a ton of camo punishers and the ares repacks they threw in the cases for some reason

I've seen a couple toys from the Nemesis wave in specialty shops here and there (never in Wal-Mart. Hooray for Canada ).

gah... id pay people to get me these damn figs... (as long as it wasn't expensive... maybe give them and extra $5 or $10 for snagging them for me...)

I want a fully articulate ML style Galactus.....that is at least....36 inches tall....At least.

how tall is the new one going to be? prolly not 36... but he's suppose to be taller then the one we have...

IIRC he's supposed to be 19 from the bottom of his feet to the tips of his horns.

the new one? wish they just measured him to his head.... i feel like thats the reason the first one was short... his total height equals about right with a sentinel... but his real height is shorter since his head dress is like an inch and a half taller then his head.

I like the look of the new Galactus. The helmet/mask design is cool.

It's different from the ML BAF?
Yes, completely new mold. Think of it as MU Galactus. I think it has lights and sounds and it might come with a MU Surfer.

Yeah the new one. But this is Galactus that fancy headress is his head not something he wears.
