Quiet possibly yeah. I know most of the same crew he worked with on the LOTR movies are doing it...even some of the same actors are rumored to be in it.
Last rumor I heard was that Alan Davis wanted the latter two of those characters on Uncanny so he could draw them again like he did in Excalibur, but I have no idea the validity of that or anything.
I'll Give a little update:
2004 marks Chris Claremont's 30th year on X-Men and Marvel plans to celebrate the milestone with a summer long event that will see the fan favorite writer turn the x-universe on it's head.He will also take over Uncanny X-Men with artist, Alan Davis (He will have full control so it will be far better than the editor run on X-Treme). His next arc on X-Treme will be called "Prisoner of Fire" and a long lost X-Men character is slated to return. Many think it is Shadowcat who is on cover 5 of 6 but many fans hope it is Psylocke, who Claremont killed to make her British again. but the editors did not let him. In Uncanny X-Men, Austen will be making an Archangel and Husk centered story that features Husk's little brother (his powers deal with Electricity). For New X-Men, Grant Morrison will be wrapping up his final arc,"Here come's tomorrow" we all know how it ends though,
Jean comes back to life because she can never die. And Grant said "no one dies they just evolve in my run"
After he leaves, Chuck Austen will take over for a three issue arc. There have been several rumors of who will replace him full time including, Peter David (Hulk, Captain Marvel), Brian K. Vaughan (Mystique, Runaways), Joss Whedon (Creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly), and Stan Lee (Creator of Fantastic Four, The Astonishing Ant-Man, The Incredible Hulk, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Mighty Thor, The Invincible Iron Man, The Mysterious Dr. Strange, The Avengers, The Uncanny X-Men, Daredevil The Man with out Fear, The Silver Surfer, ECT). In April several X-Men will appear in Wolverine. Also in the new year Alpha Flight and Cable and Deadpool will start. In Ultimate X-Men, issue 40-44 is the new mutants arc with the appearance of the ultimate versions of havok, dazzler and Emma Frost. issue 45-49 will be written by brian vaughan and will be a x-men trip to japan. issue 50 and beyond will be written by david mack. issue 50 will reveal wolverine's wife.
Thats all I have for now on the comics feel free to add more
well I just got my X comics and I read the trial of Juggernaut, itw was actually good, i liked the artwork it was way better than the earlier draco issues, it was like everyone's face had some black marks as if they hadn't washed there faces, well anyways I read Ultimate X-men #40 and I liked it with Warren Worthington, it was really funny i cracked up when kitty saw him for the first time and said (Dibs) and the second part when Warren leaves storm makes a comment saying "even colossus might be attracted to you" it was good issue
X-Static needs to die a horirble death... and by horrible I mean boiled in acid horrible. A special spot should be reserved for that green glob, it should die the most painful death of all.
