Comics The TB (X-Men style) (Spoiler Warning)

Hey waitaminute!!! Why am i not listed as a November member? Didnt' I post in november? Or did I jump in in December?

Oh and just to throw my two cents in I love the Draco arc but feel that it is being drug out too long. I've posted it before But I think they should have taken out all the juggernaught stuff and add it to the trial of Juggy story and only made the draco arc about 4 issues or so. and I LOVE that fact that Abyss is Nightcrawlers brother.

Uhh, what did you guys think of "Holy War", one of Austen's best, and personally one of my favorites (Did anyone notice that Jeans hair is colored as Polaris' once?)

Holy War is my favorate of the recent Uncanny storylines. I think as a Christian i can really appreciate it. I don't know if Austen is one but he did a good job writing the inner struggles and the final battle with the quoting of scripture and counter quoting I loved. I don't know how it would affect other non-christian people but I just thought it was good. And I thought it was the best attention grabber with the crucifixions, not to mention a good ending for characters that I was betting wouldn't be used anylonger (such as Bedlam, Skin, and Magma) though Skin will be missed.

Yeah, it was ONLY Skin and Bedlam, right? well, I'm not sure. Yeah, I'm christian too, so I was really affected by Holy War- had some great fighting, too! ;-)

ok, thanks.... i thought I saw some people in the background that I didn't recognize

No magma didn't die, it was a little confusing at first. You see her wake up and then in the intro of the next issue it listed her as one of the fallen and then in New Mutants/X-treme X-Men she says that she woke up and then fell back into a coma. So no she didn't die, i simply had a brain fart :)

I always wondered if the red guy was maybe suppose to be Artie Maddox but i never really thought it was myself, I kinda wished they would have use all knowns of people long gone, that will most probably never be used again, like Gaia or Sketch.

Magma fell asleep that night and fell into a coma

hey, good to see a Christian that enjoyed it, over at X-Fan they always go on about how it was anti christian, i think someone even had a ltter from the pope about it or something as i recall. Think they missed the whole point of it myself.
Thought Holy war was okay, my favourite of his run is actually dominant species. thought it was a great story + bar the occasional missing eye, the art was brilliant. I dont get half the problems with Manga. People call everything else manga anyway.. some people say Tans manga.. ..there have even been people complaining about Sal cos he's too Manga-y.

Manga has a wide definition. Tan and Sal definitely have a manga tone to them. Although Sal has a slight Manga tone... Tan is really heavily influenced IMO.

I love Tan's art but I didn't really think of it as Manga, but I guess when I think of manga i think of Pokemon cartoonish stuff.

And I wasn't really much on Dominant Species. The story was okay but the art killed me. I don't know why but I just couldn't stand it. Though I did like the Juggernaut kicking Wolf but scenes :)

Tan I consider Manga. Sal has a little Manga but enough western to keep me coming back. I don't know what it is about Manga I just don't feel it.

If there is one single issue of any X-title that sticks out for you what would it be? Why do you like it so much?

Giant Sized X-Men because Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Colossus, and T-Bird (some of my faves) made their X-Debut

i asked the question but give me a minute i'm still thinking of an answer. I haven't actually read Giant Sized X-men, but i really want to.

I think my favorate story may be X-Men 30, the marraige of Cyclops and Jean Gray, or Onslaught:X-Men.

X-Men 30 - Because it is a happy tale and is just great to read. I still love it to this day.

Onslaught:X-Men - Because it shows the anguish of the X-men having to face their own mentor. It was the revolution of at least a year of build up, it was great.
