I'm not worried about Hardy's meh comments on TDKR, for a few reasons...He wasn't just talking about TDKR though, but Mad Max as well and franchise films in general. All he was saying is that with these large films the role your playing is basically just a type, a variable in a formula. He has a point. This isn't the first time he's played the villian in a big franchise film either. He played Shinzon in Star Trek Nemesis. He said himself that he takes these kind of things just as a stepping stone to other things.
I don't think it means it won't give it is all though, if hes out to make a name for himself he aims to impress.
1. Before TDK, Heath Ledger openly admited (using the f-word) that he thought comic book movies were stupid, with BB being an exception. **This was from an article**
2. ALso before TDK, Heath said he didn't even finish reading The Killing Joke, he put it down like 1/3 through it. **This was also from an article**
3.**This one I could be wrong on, I heard it from someone else** Suposedly one of the big reasons Heath took on TDK role was because he just wanted a movie that would take up his time, or something of that effect.
4. And finally... "In Nolan We Trust" After almost 10 years of fantastic movies and performances, I trust Nolan's decisions.
