I've always liked the idea of Static being a prominent member of the Titans.

Dick Grayson is my favorite fictional character, and it looks like Steven McQueen is going to play him.

Visually, he totally looks the part. I think he looks a lot like Dick from the 80s Teen Titans stories.

But is he a good enough actor? I have really high standards.... Dick Grayson can't be a played by a ****ty actor, and I haven't seen enough of this guys work to make a judgment call .

Hopefully you guys can shed some light on his skills.

For the record, I think Chris O'Donnell was an amazing Dick Grayson. If McQueen is near O'Donnell's talent level, i'll be happy.

I just found out that he'll be leaving TVD after the fourteenth episode of the season, so that should free him up for Titans.

At least from what I've seen from his time on TVD, he has the body for Nightwing but not the acting to be the lead that Nightwing would most likely be.

To be fair, the series wastes every character who isn't Stefan, Damon, Caroline, or Elena. He hasn't been given any compelling material for years. He isn't the best actor ever, but I don't think Nightwing is beyond him.

Well Berlanti wanted Supergirl to be but for now he's just concentrating on getting the pilot done:

The CW President Mark Pedowitz declined to confirm whether the CBS Supergirl would crossover with Arrow and Flash; instead, telling reporters at the Winter TCA's to ask executive producer Greg Berlanti. Well, that's exactly what IGN did. Berlanti told the gaming site, "So much has to go right for us to be able to make a great show. Again, I think of myself as like if I were watching them, I would want to see [them crossover]. But we have to get so many things right to make a good show and so much of it is luck, unfortunately."

As far as actual progress on the Supergirl show is concerned, Berlanti shared, "I hope you’re going to hear about casting soon or we’re not going to be able to make the pilot! I would say, tonally closer to Flash than Arrow. That’s probably the best way to say it."

It sounds as if Berlanti definitely wants to make the crossover happen. And as previously reported, the ability for Supergirl, Flash and Arrow to crossover is something specifically outlined in Berlanti's contract. For now, it appears that Berlanti simply wants to get the titular role cast and the pilot filmed before confirming any crossovers with The CW's superhero duo.

Hawk and Dove is the big surprise, I wasn't expecting that. Not that it's BAD, just different. Barbara as Oracle (even if they don't actually call her that) is awesome. Dick Grayson, no surprise there, nor with Starfire and Raven. Cyborg not being there is also not surprising as they've got plans for him in the films (including his own movie). Beast Boy's absence is surprising. Overall, I'm intrigued. Hopefully the Pilot is good and gets picked up.

Beast Boy effects would have been troublesome. Even in a GRIM sort of way.

This line-up is definitely doable on a tv budget.

Give it an hour.

I like it. As long as they can resist the temptation to give us love triangles, I'm all for a team made up of mostly women. It's a dynamic we haven't seen before.

I keep crossing fingers for Superboy either on Supergirl or Titans.

The script, if I read the report correctly, has Dick working as a Cop in Boston. So maybe it's set there?

Speaking of female teams, I hope Birds of Prey eventually gets another crack at the screen, small or big. It's a great property with huge potential as a TV or film adaptation. They just screwed it up the first time.
