The Toys thread

My site is up and running now! Please go check it out a become a member! Join the site and you can submit your own customs, action pics, and have access to the forums. I will also be holding contests occasionally for customs, action pics, or whatever else I feel like.

This is the link: www.animatedmarvels.webs.com

The site is Spectacular Spiderman and Wolverine and the X-men currently. I will add Animated Avengers and Iron man Armored Adventures sections a bit later.

The Spectacular Spiderman section has a list of figures (with pics) released so far, upcoming toys, action pics, and I will be posting reviews fo every single figure. Each review will have TONS of Hi-res pics too.

In the Venom review, there is a pic of the Venom V1 and Venom V2 side-by-side for those who were interested. :cwink:

I haven't been working on my customs much because there are rumors that the new series os toys will be 4" scale to tie in with the new 4" x-men, marvel universe, and wolverine movie toys.

sweet! too bad I'm almost done with my custom...

Oh well! And I am glad to see that the figures are still in the 6" scale. I guess Ill be moving on with my next customs!

Based on the figures shown, the Fifth series of figures looks like it will be:

Spiderman w/ web accessory
Spidey with blue scuba gear
Black Spidey with Glider attachment
Lizard V2
Vulture
Sandman V2
Venom V2 (rerelease)

The Spideys are very gimmickey as expected. The Venom V2 rerelease is a great thing because he was very hard to find the first time around. The Vulture figure is very nice and will be greatly accepted. The Lizard V2 has some weird yellow tattoos all over his body. While not show accurate, he looks visually appealing. This time, his tail is one solid piece which is good. He comes with a lizard accessory too. Finally, the Sandman V2 has sand on more of his body now (more on his torso/chest area) and has a different sand hand. Because he has been in half of the waves and this one isn't drastically different, I feel like this figure won't sell very well.

here are better pics of the new figures:

I've just remembered, what about Tombstone, Hammerhead, Shocker, Chameleon, Black Cat, Mysterio, Kraven and when we see him, Moltan man.

I stooped by the Marvel Booth @ NYCC today.

OMG I love the new tentacle-rape Sandman! He & The New Lizard look more...not battle damaged, but battle ready for some reason. "sPidey-Man Beyond" Looks Cool too.But dang, the rest of Marvel's new action figures look like THEY should be happy meal toys.

Also, I stopped by the Marvel Animation panel and they mentioned something interesting about SSM but I can't for the life of me remember what...

Why in the world is Lizard yellow? Though, why in the world does spidey have a spider-machine. Thats business for ya!

Certain lizards change colors to express emotions.

And as the lone hero and most relatable character on the show, sPidey needs to be in every wave and change up his look so as to not seem one note.
