:lmao:

Saw this meme on Bookface and just about died laughing. I know we can't post memes here in the politics section so this is the next best thing. That movie was so far ahead of it's time

Shouldn't political meme's be counted as Satire? Shouldn't you be able to posted it in the Satire Thread right?

It's been so long since anyone used that thread I had completely forgotten about it. I just remembered if I post them in the regular threads it gets taken down

As anything but a way to mess with the Repubs? Probably not.

Donald Trump Empire Sought Visas For At Least 1,100 Foreign Workers

While touting his hardline on immigration on the campaign trail for the GOP presidential nomination, Trump's companies have been recruiting foreign workers.

Donald Trump is staking his run for U.S. president in part on a vow to protect American jobs. But this month, one of his companies, the elite Mar-a-Lago Club resort in Florida, applied to import 70 foreign workers to serve as cooks, wait staff and cleaners.

A Reuters analysis of U.S. government data reveals that this is business as usual in the New York property magnate's empire.
Trump owns companies that have sought to import at least 1,100 foreign workers on temporary visas since 2000, according to U.S. Department of Labor data reviewed by Reuters. Most of the applications were approved, the data show.

Nine companies majority-owned by Trump have sought to bring in foreign waitresses, cooks, vineyard workers and other laborers on temporary work-visa programs administered by the Labor Department.

The candidate's foreign talent hunt included applications for an assistant golf-course superintendent, an assistant hotel manager and a banquet manager.
Two of his companies, Trump Model Management and Trump Management Group LLC, have sought visas for nearly 250 foreign fashion models, the records show.

Trump’s presidential campaign and a lawyer for the businessman declined to comment. The Mar-a-Lago Club could not be reached for comment.

The analysis of Trump's history of actively importing foreign workers comes as he has emerged as an early front-runner in the race for the Republican nomination in the November 2016 presidential election. Trump has positioned himself as a champion of American workers whose livelihoods are threatened by illegal foreign laborers and the offshoring of U.S. jobs.
“I will be the greatest jobs president that God every created," he said in announcing his candidacy on June 16. "I will bring back our jobs from China, Mexico and other places. I will bring back jobs and our money."

Trumps gonna bring the jobs back to America...along with indentured servants.:o

Anybody on the hype supporting Trump?

Matt,

Hype dies down upon release. Trump is not hype. He's the opposite. His lead is growing.

LIBS ON TRUMP:

Chris Matthews "I think it is deeper than anger, I think there is a sense of betrayal among the best and the brightest, that we have given the country away on the border, on debt, on jobs. They feel like they have been betrayed by the elite and Donald Trump, ironically, is fighting the elite here, and the little guys is rooting for him."

"And the more we attack him," says Chuck Todd, "the more powerful he gets.
"

Trump does not fear speaking the truth

I quote Ronald Reagan who’s quotes have stood the test of time.

“Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?”

Is Trump the new revitalized Republican? On many fronts I think he is, and I hope the others follow suit. Republicans today can’t win with National election with less funding, an unfair press and a mute button on their ideas. They need to speak the truth on a national level, not just a state level. Trump is.

Donald Trump’s Steps to Success!
1. Inherit billions from your dad
2. File for bankruptcy 4 times
3. Put your name on every property you own
4. Put your face in front of every camera
5. Get a crappy reality show on NBC
6. Pretend to run for President every four years
7. Finally run for President and make idiotic statements

You might want to fact check a bit. #1 is 100% wrong. The others? Do your homework and you'll see. Start with point #3

The most hilarious thing about what you post Taarna is you think the things he says or the opinions of others who won't be affected by his policies change the nature of the man. The whole problem with politics is that a voter base needs to be "sold" on a candidate, instead of letting a track record of integrity speaking for itself.

Anyone who thinks Trump will "defend" the little guy once he's given office needs to have their heads checked.

Anyone who thinks Donald Trump of all people cares about "the little guy" is naive and gullible. You don't get much more archetypal "one percenter" stereotypical business mogul than Donald Trump.

I'm laughing so hard at Taarna I can barely type this :lmao: Trump for the little guy?! Now I've heard it all

Yup.

I did not say that. You're laughing at the wrong person. Chris Matthews said this! Read the quote.

The labor rate is very low right now. Jobs went away. Trump has ideas on how to change it. More jobs = better for the USA. Can you agree with that? And most little guys would take a job over un-employment in general.

You don't seem to understand the concept that just because someone says they're going to do something, doesn't mean they're actually going to do it. Trump can tell people he can reverse climate change and cure AIDS and stupidity before an election and then do whatever the **** he wants afterwards. If there's one guy that is probably the archetypal duplicitous snake - it's Donald Trump.

Putting stock in an electoral campaign of Donald Trump's...? You're asking to get played like a cheap piano. This guy is in it for number one, anything good that may happen will be a lucky coincidence.

Clinton has been in for herself for years and has taken money from nations who hate us. Trump does not need to do this, he's doing it for his nation. Stark contrast.

DT's favorability rating is also on the rise. Do a web search and you will see.

I have yet to see one person here debate Trump on the issues that says his ideas are bad ones...unless you are for illegals costing the USA 100+ Billion a year, unfair trade polices and such.

Considering that illegals and their cheap labor do so much for this country's various industries Im perfectly fine with offering them a fast track to citizenship. Deporting them and putting spoiled americans in their place isnt going to help much and the americans wont work for what illegals are willing to work for which will just cost employer's more. Like it or not we cant just deport all the illegals without seriously destabilizing various industries.

And frankly I laugh at the outrage at these illegals costing us $100 billion dollars a year when our government blows that on unnecessary military tech and pointless wars every single year. Id rather they spend $100 billion dollars on illegal humans who just want to live and have food and medicine and a decent life for their kids, rather than it being spent on bombs and drones that will kill innocent people.

Illegals arent the boogeyman breaking the country's back. They are the cheap labor propping this country up and this country needs to be a bit more grateful that someone is willing to do the ****** work.

I like how you're concerned about $100b illegal immigrants cost but you're cool with banks paying 5% tax and locking up trillions on their balance sheets and in the pension fund industry that sits and accrues interest but never gets injected into the real economy.

You're sadly uninformed and you're chasing shadows. If you knew where the American economy was getting hamstrung you'd fear the day Trump even takes a tour of the White House.

Let me try and put this into perspective for you Taarna.

Those are the biggest banks in the USA. The top five banks own assets totaling roughly $8 trillion. The USA's GDP is $17 trillion. What you have is five organizations that own assets equal to roughly half the whole country's Gross Domestic Product. Beyond the highly disturbing effects of that concentrated ownership, like the decisions of a few banks being able to cripple a national economy, the majority of their assets are Long Term Investments, like Pension Funds.

Bank of America alone has LTI's worth $1.5 trillion. Guess what, that amount is just sitting there, invested with a bunch of other banks' and investment companies and accruing disgusting amounts of interest. You never even see it. A slight fluctuation in value of that kind of asset total generates tens if not hundreds of billions of dollars. Is it being invested in healthcare or education initiatives? No. Is it being invested into small and medium businesses that can spike employment in hard-hit cities? No. It sits there. Doing nothing. Except gaining interest to pay out a small board's dividends at the end of each year.

Before you try and blame illegal aliens for costing the American public $100b (when they probably generate $200b, but w/e) have a look at the actions of an elite few American citizens that hold your country ransom. With a system like that in place it's almost irrelevant who's in the White House. But if it ends up being Donald Trump he's going to make a ****ty situation much worse. Who are his buddies, average Joe's working factory jobs, or board members of Jp Morgan?

Oh, additionally, those banks have access to the best tax lawyers and accountants in the world so they end up paying probably an average of 6% in tax as an organization. The top tax bracket for income tax is about 40% for private individuals LOL. Completely forgetting everything else such as capital gains tax or VAT.

BTW the hype I was referring to is the Super Hero Hype forums we're currently posting on. :cwink:

I wasn't aware you were a racist, good to know

It is obvious you have reading comprehension issues, as you tag me for something Chris Matthews said. Now this ad hominem attack?

Who the heck are you to say this. You don’t know me. I’m a minority with an education…your worst nightmare. Just because I think Trump is correct on USA problems ( He is ) doesn’t make me anything but informed.

Illegals cost more than they earn, take jobs away from USA citizens, and ahem add to crime. All the the above is true.

I agree the banks have too much power. Clinton and Bush are compromised and will listen to the banks more than Joe average citizen.

Obama let all the Wall Street crooks skate. As George Carlin aptly put it, you have the illusion of choice on Election Day. This is where I think Trump is different. He doesn’t owe favors to foreign interests or lobbyist because he isn’t a career politician.
