I was just spitballing actually. Umm I need more people for the new JSA. it'll be sometime when I start on the JSA story, I'm still at Hourman origin.

Character You Would Like To Play: Blackrock/Dr. Peter Silverstone

Basic History Of The Character:
Peter Silverstone was a family man; he had a wife, a son, a great job, and a great life. He was the technical engineer in charge of hardware research and development for a major media outlet. Peter discovered a means to tap into broadcast television, phone, radio, internet, and satellite signals, and convert the signals into usable forms of energy to be manipulated as he saw fit. The source of this comes from an alien artifact that found its way into Peter's lab. The artifact resembles a polished black stone, which acts as a battery and amplifier, storing and refining the energy is receives. Becoming fascinated and inspired by Superman in the news, Silverstone decided to use the stone to fight crime. Fashioning himself a costume with the artifact incorporated inside of it, Peter took on the name Blackrock. However, as good as his intentions were, the permanent effects of the stone on Peter's mind and body became apparent: The rush of media broadcasts traveling through his brain eventually drove Blackrock insane, causing an intense hatred for Superman because his name was most prominently scrolling through Silverstone's mind.

Blackrock's abilities include - flight, invulnerability, super strength, virtually limitless stamina, enhanced speed and reflexes, able to erect force fields around himself and others, can project intense blasts of concentrated energy from his body, able to hear and see broadcasts from around the world inside his head, and he can transport himself through a satellite signal.

Three Reasons Why You Have Chosen That Character:

1. I feel that the character has been treated quite poorly in the mainstream comics lately, and I want to see if I can give the name some respectability.

2. He has an awesome assortment of abilities that I want to explore.

3. He's a Superman villain that I haven't really tried my hand at, and I want to try branching out.

What Do You Plan On Doing With This Character As A Person:
I will chronicle Dr. Silverstone's descent into madness, and his growing greed for power, all the while driving his friends and family away.

Two Complete Sentances In Proper English Explaining What You Can Bring To This RPG (As A Player):
I can bring fairly decent storytelling (or so I am told), which I hope to put to use here. I can also bring an intense and psychological character to the table.

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that the word "sentences" in this sentence is spelled incorrectly?

Guys, I know this is on short notice, but tommorow I leave for the weekend, and won't return until Tuesday evening. I may or may not have Bruce respond to Blake's... well... "entrance" before I leave, but in any case, I'd rather if no one bunny him until I return.

It was quite the "entrance" wasn't it? In a room full of black suits and cocktail dresses, a loin cloth sort of puts you apart from the crowd.

I'm not the type that likes to ask for oppinions, but since this is an Ultimate character, I'd like to know how people feel about the direction I'm going in with Catman.

I'll have my next Catman post up soon. Things moved a little too fast for me.

First he was talking to Luthor, then Luthor walked away, then Kent approached him, then Kent started talking with Luthor.

Left me a little dizzy. I'll figure out someone for Blake to harass. I'm open to suggestions, or else he's going bird hunting.

Thomas is a warm blooded male who lived with animals for over a decade. Is his reaction to the first attractive female he can see really a suprise?
Add to that the thing about him seeing animal totems. He the cat, she the bird. He might not be trying to hunt her like in the animal kingdom, but he's still on the prowl.

I'll change Catman if need be, but I'm feeling rather confident with my character, and his unique view of the world.

Just I don't think we can develop anything between Dinah and Thomas any time soon. I've kinda got MB on the burner right now.

Someones in the kitchen with Dinah..

Smells good. Though with the proper ingredients a love triangle might spice things up. A pretty P.I., the playboy billionaire, and the dangerous wild man. Each one trying to hide the animal within (some better than others).

The Cat, the Bat, and the Canary. I like the sound of that, let me know what you guys think. There are other things I can have Blake do, but I think this would be an interesting thing to touch upon sometime down the line.

I don't exactly know why I felt the need to announce my first post, as if it had any impact at all, and without even asking for any feedback, but all the RPG newbies seem to do it, so I felt like hopping on the bandwagon.

well the only story I have for Rex right now is that he ends up in a crack house and I might add that he meets a bunch of misfits, it'll basically be like when Daredevil went down to the sewers and he met The King.
