Probably another month, or less. I wanted to end before January, but it doesn't seem like that could happen, given mine and other's plans. So it'll probably end mid-to-late January.

I think I'll just watch until Season 3. The season is wrapping up, and I'm not sure if I can see myself playing Two-Face in the long run.

Character You Would Like To Play: Detective John Grayson of the Gotham City Police Department

Basic History Of The Character: John is an honest, optimistic cop. He has a wife, Mary, and a son, Richardcwink. Unlike so many of his peers, John does not have a hand in the pockets of any of the major mob bosses or criminals of Gotham. Mary Grayson has been fighting a long battle against leukemia, and more recently she has begun to become weaker and weaker. Her ailing physical state has a tremendous influence on John and Dick. Nonetheless, John goes to work every day to fight injustice as best he can.

Three Reasons Why You Have Chosen That Character:

1. As I said, this is a perfect bridge into Season 3 for me.

2. Playing John before his death allows me to add extra depth into Dick's backstory without rushing it.

3. GL's Zucco has to kill someone at the end of this season/the start of Season 3.

What Do You Plan On Doing With This Character As A Person (IE: How are you 'utlimizing' him or her?): Well, obviously John and Mary are a big deviation from their comic book counterparts. In my opinion, trapeze artists in a carnival are extremely outdated. An honest cop, with a sick, loving wife and athletic son, seems to mesh better with the rest of the Universe.

Two Complete Sentences In Proper English Explaining What You Can Bring To This RPG (As A Player): I'd like to think of myself as a gradually-improving player who is learning how to write more proficiently by the day. I'm extremely committed to my vision of Ultimate Dick Grayson, and I think that this backstory brings new life and vigor to the character's origin.

I place the bowl on pasta on the dinner table as I announce, "Dick, dinner's ready."

My son turns off the television and hops over the couch. One of these days, he's going to break that. But don't tell him because he won't listen. Kids will be kids.

"Sorry for spaghetti again," I apologize, "But my cooking skills are extremely limited. Usually your mother handles...this kind of stuff." My voice trails off at the end. I know Dick's mature enough to talk about it, but I don't like bringing it up nonetheless.

"Mom's going to be alright, isn't she?" he asks.

I hate answering this question. The answer is obvious, but it feels wrong to ramp up Dick's hopes when I'm not even sure what's going to happen. Even so, I try to casually respond, "Of course. Your mother is a fighter - she always has been. As long as I've known her, she's battled this disease, and I don't expect her to give up now."

Character You Would Like To Play: Helena Bertinelli aka the Huntress.

Basic History Of The Character: Helena Bertinelli was the daughter of an infamous Gotham crime boss that was murdered by an unknown assailant. She witnessed the murder and has since became a vigilante under the moniker of the Huntress. She recently broke up with her fiancee Joshua Lance when he discovered her secret life, which has in fact clouded her perception of the line between justice and vengeance, which could lead to problems.

1. She's my favorite Gotham resident. Period.

Prowling the rooftops of Gotham, lies me, the Huntress, looking for prey in order to establish justice throughout the city. Gotham is too large a city for a few people to protect it. That's where I come in. I help in the effort to relinquish crime in this town. Although lately, since my heart was broken, doing my job has been hard to regulate...

I suddenly spot a mugging nearby, and fired my grappling hook from my crossbow, and ride down it.

ZIIIIIIIIIP!!

"Give me ya money!"

"Noo! Help!"

Thn I swoop down and land on one knee, slowly getting up, making sure that I'm intimidating my opponent.

"Let. Her. Go. Now!" I say slowly, approaching him step by step. He was distracted long enough for her to get away, so that the hunt can really begin...

"I heard it's mugger season this month..."

Then with a drop-kick to his face, he was down. I slowly raised my crossbow and aimed it between his eyes.

"Please! Don't! Who are you!?!"

Then I pulled the trigger. The arrow swiftly went downward, resulting in a thud. Then I turned and walked away, looking back at the arrow that impaled the ground, pinning his jacket to it. Inches from his head...


"I'm the Huntress..."

The only possible Gotham resident who could beat Bats is Nightwing. That's my opinion, but still.

EDIT Ok technically he is now Bludhaven, but you know what I mean.

Now, now, EBJ, I've met plenty of people who like other characters in Batman lore over the man himself.

They just haven't lived long.

Now, regarding your application, BL, you're approved for Huntress... however, I want bring something forth and say that your reasons for picking a character need work. For all of your applications. It won't help your credibility in getting a character if you post "She's hawt!" or something similar as a reason for wanting to portray her. Try something deeper than that.

But that's just my advice. It nearly stopped me from approving you, but your sample was enough to tell me you won't screw up the character. However, it's just something you may want to keep in mind.
