I'm finished with Hourman for this season.

Hope I didn't end it too soon...

Aite, I'm done with Despero for this Season. See you guys next Season when Despero's plans get real interestings.

Coming in Season III

America.

The greatest country in the world. Many good men have fought and died for our freedoms.

Now is the time to serve your country. Now is the chance to be apart of something grand. Now is the time to love your country. Now is the time to act.

Can I also have a reserve on Lawton AKA Deadshot for Season III also? I have plans. :ninja:

We don't have much time left, but I can get some stuff started with Lawton before Season III.

Screenname: Syn (Mercenary)

Character You Would Like To Play: Floyd Lawton, AKA Deadshot

Basic History Of The Character: He was a thief, common crook, hired hand, and now assassin. Most recently, he worked with Black Mask. He discovered his ability during a heist at a bank. (I will have more of his history revealed in the arc I am doing pending approval).

Three Reasons Why You Have Chosen That Character:

1. Deadshot is my second fav. merc besides Deathstroke.

2. He's a smartass, killing, son of a ***** with no inhibitions.

3. The chance to, yet again, precede my title, and play another mercenary. Look at the screen name. ;)

What Do You Plan On Doing With This Character As A Person (IE: How are you 'utlimizing' him or her?): Deadshot has already been ultimized in this RPG by Human Torch. I just plan on expanding on his history and origins, hoping to tell you how a young boy got caught up in the world of crime, and soon realized his destiny.

Two Complete Sentences In Proper English Explaining What You Can Bring To This RPG (As A Player): I can bring a semi-good RPGer with some kickass story lines and posts. I also hope to bring a sense of realism to Deadshot, making his character more relatable than he was in the comics for regular DC. (Not everyone relates to a spoiled rich kid who shot his brother.) ;)

What Fonts Do You Plan To Use For Your Character’s Speech? (Makes the roster look better): "I plan to use Grey Garmond Bold."

I'm sitting on a chair in Alfred Sanders home, staring at the door of his apartment waiting for him to come home. The revolver in my hand is cold. I can feel it beneath my gloves, the deep groves of the handle, the finely smoothed metal of the barrel. It all feels so familiar to me. Too familiar.

I'm so tired of this game. Cat and mouse. To be honest, it bores me. I get a call, I meet the contractor. We make a deal, I stalk target. Days later, I shoot target, go back to contractor, get money, and the process starts all over again. How repetitive.

Where is the adventure in this life? Where did it go? Did it dissapear, or is it me who's changed? Has it really been that long? Have I really become that out of touch with things? Or is it that I've become more desensitized to a point where even murder doesn't keep my attention?

As I think to myself, my concentration is suddenly broken by the sound of the lock on the door opening. I watch the handle turn intently, my attention finally focused. As the door slowly opens, I watch Mr. Sanders walk in the door. He's talking on his cell phone. How typical. He doesn't even notice me. I guess it's as good a time to do it as any. Just wait for him to close that door.

"Hello, Al." I say in a calm voice. "Why don't you have a seat?"

"W-Who are you?" He stammers, his phone dropping from his hand and falling to the ground. As his phone impacts the hard wood floors, it breaks into three large pieces. I smile beneath my mask and look up at him, waving my gun back and forth in front of him like a finger.

"Now, look at what you've done. I'll bet that was an important call."

"What do you want?" He asks as his body shakes.

"The same thing everyone in this world wants." I respond vaguely. "Money. And like most people, I'll do anything for it. Even murder."

"Y-You're here to kill me?"

"Hm. Congradulations. Someone give this man a prize. Was it the fact that I'm wearing a mask alone in your house waiting for you to return? Or possibly the gun with a silencer attachment in my hand?"

"Who hired you?"

"What?"

"Who hired you?"

"Why should I tell you?" I say proudly, leaning back in the chair. It creaks loudly, almost as if it could break at any moment. Why the hell does a corporate lawyer have dimestore furniture?

"My last request. Every time a man is about to die, the killer offers the victim a last request. This is mine. Who hired you?" I take a deep sigh. This guy's good. Quoting chivilorous traditions to a mercenary. How poetic.

"Alright." I respond in a monotone. "Turn around and put your hands on your head. I'll tell you." The man complies without a complaint. He turns his back to me, and stares up at the ceiling, his hands gripping at the hair on his head. Poor guy. I almost feel bad for doing this.

"Well...who hired you?"

"Sorry, Al." I say raising the pistol, aiming the site at his heart. "Assassin's honor." I pull the trigger slowly, the loud click of the barrel shifting rings out loud for a second. Like the calm before the storm, I could sense a moment of pure silence, and then, BANG. The bullet fires from the gun and rips through his body. It penetrates the skin on his back, and makes its way through his torso until it reaches his heart. He drops to the ground like a sack of bricks. The bullet perfectly lodged itself in the upper cavity, and ripped through the inner walls. How do I know this? Because I planned it like that. And I never miss.

Do You Know How To Post Pictures On The Hype?: Yes I do.

Revised Submission:

Screenname: celestial guard
Character You Would Like To Play: Cyborg (Hank Henshaw)
Basic History Of The Character: Henshaw was a decorated Pilot during Desert Storm. He also flew many missions during the subsequent return to Iraq and Kuwait during Operation Enduring Freedom. It was during a dogfight over Iraq that Henshaw’s F/A18 Hornet was shot down. Found alive, but in need of severe medical treatment Henshaw was taken back to the United States where he eagerly signed up for Project Cadmus.

While at the Cadmus Project, Henshaw’s body was rebuilt using bionic parts. The bionics used to replace the eyes, arms and legs of Henshaw along with the genetic manipulation from the Cadmus scientists allowed Henshaw to develop “superhuman powers” along the lines of Superman. Unknown to Henshaw, the goal of Project Cadmus was to create a superhuman on par with Superman should they ever need to eliminate him. The psycho-indoctrination portion of the program has given Henshaw a complete hatred of the man of Steel, which ironically he has never met. Henshaw believes that if Superman did not exist he would have been allowed to die instead of become the cybernetic construct he is today.

Henshaw eyes have been replaced with constructs which allow for high heat lasers (heat vision), vision in infra red, ultra violet, and lowlight conditions, micro and macro-vision allowing him to see anything from a microscopic organism to Saturn with only his eyes, as well and the ability to x-ray an object just by looking at it. His arms and legs allow for up to 4 tons to be lifted by his frame, which is in turn supported in the organic sections of his body by a reinforced skeletal structure. These adaptations also give Henshaw the ability to travel up to mach two on land. Henshaws hands have various uplinks hidden in them to allow him to uplink to any electronic interface and download, upload or simply work on that particular system. He has become very adept a using these interfaces effortlessly. One side effect of the genetic manipulation given to Henshaw allowed him the gift of telekinesis. This power is however limited to his own body. He is able to fly as Superman would and uses the power regularly as a mode of transportation.

Since his activation as an agent of Project Cadmus, Henshaw has been given the designation Cyborg. He was offered a team of elites, but turned down the offer. Instead Henshaw uses his Sentry Squadron, which is comprised of robotic duplicates of himself, during missions where support is needed. The Sentry Squadron robots have all the powers of Henshaw, but must use a propulsion system for flight. These robotic assistants are linked to Henshaw via an open communication system on a scrambled frequency which allows him to communicate directly to them without speaking a word. Each Sentry robot is capable of independant though due to a limited AI system developed by Henshaw. This AI is limited at the current time to combat functions.

Henshaw has obtained a modest living on the side as a programmer which has allowed him to make a small fortune in order to live. Though not extravagant by any means it suits him. After all the government pays for the "cool toys" he oftem invents or customises for missions.

Henshaw is a very cunning operative who uses everything around him to his advantage. He has learned from everything that he can read, participate in, or download. The storage of this information in the electronic section of his brain allows him to adapt quickly to overcome an adversary. Henshaw has learned every combat style on record making him a fierce hand-to-hand combatant. He is skilled in the use of many military weapons and vehicles. He is a vicious man that does not allow for defeat, which may be his only weakness. This vicious streak is why he wears the “S” shield of Superman. In his mind the “S” stands for superior.
Three Reasons Why You Have Chosen That Character:
1. Cyborg is used as a villain of the month, which usually sees his defeat due to something rather stupid.
2. To give him a sense of humanity that has never been explored due to him being made a psychopath in most stories.
3. He is a great character with lots of potential.
What Do You Plan On Doing With This Character As A Person (IE: How are you 'utlimizing' him or her?): I plan to give Henshaw a more human base as a character. By eliminating the faux Fantastic Four voyage of his space ship I am re-writing his origin using real world events. He will feel like any other person, but due to the government conditioning will have many obstacles to face including his own morals and personal feelings. He will be as much a man as he is a soldier for his country.
Two Complete Sentences In Proper English Explaining What You Can Bring To This RPG (As A Player): I wish to bring a new understanding of the human factor when facing adversity and the consequences of one’s actions in those moments leading to his own gritty edge. The second thing I plan to bring forth is attempt to humanize a character that has been repeatedly used as a throw away villain by giving him a blend of the comic version mixed with an ordinary person dealing with his own issues.

The days here numbered. They don’t know what’s about to hit them and that’s the way I like to operate. I sit in the sky silently laughing to myself because they never look up. Tiny ants going about their daily lives on the ground without even a wonder of what may be lurking above, constantly looking forward on the ground suspecting no danger. What is it they say? That only happens to the other guy…

The Sentries have provided me with much needed intel about the target. I know when to strike, the window is nearly upon me. I silently lower myself behind the tool shed in the middle of the complex. I used my own uplinks to control the cameras days ago. With a mental command they move to hide my passing.

The guard is nearly upon me. I step out. He sees the “S”. It is the last thing he ever sees as I burnout his retinas with the lasers from my own. “I’m not him,”
I say as I walk calmly to my destination, "he would have asked…”

I'll have an Epilogue post up for Despero most likely up sometime tonight. Sort of my...Season 3.0 preview.

If not tomorrow.

In the off chance this season closes up soon, I'll be posting for Deadshot all weekend til he's ready for Season III.

On second thought, I may have my last Aquaman/J'onn post as my last for this season; that way, I'll start the next one with a bang.

That mean it was nothing?

EDIT: Meant No problem. I got ya now.

MB and I already had an idea, and I'm not sure who he spoke to...some may have even been planned to be NPC...but if you are a hero, and if you are interested in the Despero arc he and I planned for, PM me. It's going to be epic. :o

MB, I hope to talk to you about the arc later today when I get off of work in like 2 hours or so. You gonna be on sometime after 2 hours from now on MSN?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaah it all makes sense. *wanders off to find another hero to play*

Is something wrong with the character I've posted? I'm not getting any feedback or approval. Should I try for someone else?
