The "Ultimate Marvel" RPG Season III

Blackheart1.jpg

Blackheart walks down the stairs. He sees Mr. Ketch greeting his family from his long day at work.

“Time to throw on the charm.” Blackheart whispers to himself. He walks to the man, and extends his arm.“Hello there. You must be Mr. Ketch. I’m Bartholomew Heretic.”

“Nice to meet you there, Bart. Weird last name don’t you think?”

“A little unconventional, yes. But why change it?”

“I hear you. So, Bart, where do you work.”

“Well, if I told you, you might not like me.”

“Why's that?”

“He’s a tax collector, dad.” Barbara chimes in.

“Ah. As long as it isn’t for this state, you’re welcome here.”

“Ha. Ha. Good, good.”

“Dinners ready! Everyone take their seats.” Mrs. Ketch yells.

“Wow, great. My wife makes some of the best food you’ll ever taste, Bart.”

“Mh…I can smell how…delicious it is now.” Blackheart smiles, and looks at Johnny. Johnny shoots another weird look at Blackheart as they go into the dinning room. Everyone takes their seat as Mrs. Ketch puts the roast on the table. They all sit down, and get ready to eat.

“Mr. Heretic, would you mind saying grace?” Blackheart looks at her with a type of panic. He calms himself, and then smoothly replies.

“I’m sorry, I’m an atheist.”

“Aw, that’s too bad. Honey, would you like to say grace then?”

“Yes, Dear.” Everyone folds their hands, and bows their heads. “Thank you God for this food my loving wife made up for us. Please bless it to our-“ As Mr. Ketch continues, Blackheart sits uncomfortably in his seat. Johnny opens one of his eyes to see Blackheart shaking in his seat. Sweat comes down his brow, and he turns pale. Johnny closes his eyes, and goes into thought. “Amen.”

“That was lovely, honey. Thanks.”

“Yeah, great job daddy!”

“Yes, Mr. Ketch. That was…breath taking. It is always interesting to get a look at the other side.”

“Well, sorry you don’t share our views, but I respect yours.” Everyone starts to eat. Mrs. Ketch cuts everyone a piece, and puts it on their plates. As they begin eating, Blackheart looks up at Johnny.

“Well, you all know what I do. I’m curious to know what you do.” He looks at Johhny and smiles. “Johnny, I’d like to start with you.”

"Who the hell are you!? Answer me! Why do you watch . . .Peter Parker? Where is he!? Explain!"

"Calm yourself Scorpy, your much too tense dude. But to answer yous questions, im Tarantula and I was told by......by....."

I try and search my memory for the identity of the man who freed me but I get nothing.

"......by a friend to watch after Peter and make sure nothing happens to him. As to where he is now I have no idea cause a certain emerald spas attacked me causing me to lose him!"

Scorpion looks at Tarantula inquisitively. He looks around for a second, and then looks back at Tarantula.

"You will help me find him. Now." Scorpion points his tail at Tarantula, and two red lasers point at his head.

Hawkeye1.jpg

I jump down onto the ledge below. I land with the perfect balance almost nobody else could achieve. I put my bow in my quiver and sit down to think. So much has happened in the past few months. I start going around calling myself a superhero, get accepted to the Ultimates, and just recently fight a superpowered alien from a distant galaxy. Most people don't even see this type of stuff on TV shows! It's just been so busy lately, I haven't had a moment like this to relax. I look across the city at the sky line. My eyes are drawn to the silhoutte of the Triskelion.
"My God. Its so dark tonight, yet I can still see HQ's outline. Guess they never turn out the lights over there." I sit for a minute and catch my breath.

"Mhh. Haven't seen Cap or any of the Ultimates in a while. Wonder what's going on. Oh, s***! They might be back at the Triskelion by now, and they're probably briefing for a new mission. Damn. Last thing I need right now is Fury getting on my back. Better get back over there."
I take my bow out and get an arrow with a wire attached to it. I ground the wire's end to the corner of the ledge. I make sure it's tight. Don't want to have to learn that lesson again. I quick aim a couple streets over to a building that'll be the perfect point. I see it and fire. The arrow cuts cleanly through the air and latches onto a fire escape. I tug on the wire tightly to make sure it's secure.

"Man, I love doing this." I put my bow ontop of the wire and start to slide down the wire to the other building.
"Help! Help! Somebody please!"
"What the hell?" I look down and see a woman in an alley way being mugged by a guy with a gun. I let go of the wire and fall to the rooftop above.
"Damn I hate guys who pull this. Especially when I got somewhere to be." I look at the Triskelion, and then down at the woman in the alley.
"Fury can wait." I grab two arrows from my quiver and shoot them at the mugger. One arrow hits his hand, causing him to drop the gun. The other hits him right in the back, milimeters from piercing a kidney.
"Who the f*** just shot that! That f&^%$ing hurt!" I jump down onto the fire escape and into view.
"Don't worry, ma'am. I got your back."
"You! Who the hell do you think you are? I'm gonna--*agh!* My back. What, *rrgh* did you do?"

"I hit right above your kidney. The more you move, the closer the arrow gets to slicing the outer wall of your kidney, which will probably give you a nasty infection. That is, if you don't bleed to death. If you give up now, I can get you to a hospital, and then have the police take you to jail. Or we can just duke it out here. Me up here, watching you struggle to get to me, and then drop dead from blood loss. So, what'll it be?"
"I'm gonna- *aughah*" He drops to the ground. The lady behind him runs off screaming out of the alley.
"You're welcome." Huh? Guy must've mooved more than I thought. He's bleeding pretty bad. I jump down and put my bow back in my quiver. I pick him up and put him on my back.
"Look's like I'll have to run your ass to the nearest hosptial, huh?" I run out of the alley, and start down the sidewalk. I look down the street, and see there's a stopped ambulence at the light.
"Wow, for once luck is on my side." I dart to the ambulence. The lights in this city are brutal, but I don't want to risk it. I make it just as the other light turns yellow. I pound on the window, and the paramedic looks out the window.
"You got a minute?" I say. He looks at me, and then at the arrow in his back.

"Yeah, I know how this looks, but I swear it ain't what you're thinking. Unless you're thinking I shot an arrow in his back, which is what I did. But, he was mugging a lady and...you know what. Just get him to the hospital and make sure you call the cops so they meet you there." He nods and then telss his partner to get out of the vehicle. They grab him and put him on a stretcher. They put him in, and close the back doors. Their sirens blare as they take off down the street. I smile, and then look back at the city skyline.

"Ahh. What a nice night." I think for a minute. "S&^%. Those guys probably think I shot him on purpose or something." I take off down the street and make my way to the Triskelion.
"Too bad I wasted my last wire arrow I had with me. Dammit."

Hawkeye1.jpg

As I run down the street, I look at the other people staring at me. I must look dumb as hell. I got a quiver and a bow strapped to my back as I wear a leather sleevless shirt. Oh, well. Important thing is I get back to the Skelion. Its not too far away now. Only a block away. Then I get some type of transport to it from the coast. No big deal.

As I run, the more I see the people. Some of them are still frightened from what has happened. Some of them just want to know why the powers out.

"I'm sure they know I'm on their side." I say. "Who doesn't watch the news, right? Nah, crap. Finally. Made it to the docks. Look at the Skelion. Still online and everything." I take out my communicator. It still seems to be a little glitchy. I smack it a few times, and the signal comes through. I press the button, and see if Fury's online. No response. Dammit. I dial in to get SHIELD's mainframe. A man answers.

"Agent Hawkeye?"
"Yeah."
"There a problem?"
"No. Fury's got his communicator off."
"What do you need?"
"A transport to the Triskelion."
"What's your location."
"I'm at the docks."
"Ok, we'll send a chopper over now."
"Great."

I turn off the communicator, and look at the sky. The clouds are clearing, and the moon is bright. A relax for a minute. Finally, a chance to break. I look out at the horizon, and see a helicopter taking off.

"Wonder where everyone else is? Probably back at the Skelion. Even if they aren't, it'd be a good time to practice my aim, and relax."

TarantulaBanner.jpg

I stay perfectly still while beneath my mask my eyes cross and focus on the red laser that's aimed at my forehead.

"Ok Shrek whatever you say but lets put away the cliche menacing laser weapon and work as an actual team."

The laser goes off and I turn to scan the area where I last saw Peter but naturally he isn't there. I fire a webline and look over my shoulder at the Scorpion.

"Oh and if your out to hurt Peter, I'll make you eat that tail and than I'll throw into the east river "Soprano" style you understand?"

NIGHTCRAWLER

The whimpering blue mutant clutches it at his wound, Scott has regained consciousness and called the others in. Moira and Angel are the first to arive.

"Oh no, what's happened here? Is that a bullet wound?"

Moira's fears are soon clarified by Cyclops.

"He fired a bullet through at Kurt, then got the drop on me, he's somewhere inside the X-mansion..."

Warren and Moira both look at him with the same expression.

"Who?"

"Longshot..."

"Longshot..."

Great him again!

"Are you telling me that little worm came here looking for a fight!"

I look up from Kurt to see Ali, Hank, and Ororo approaching.

"It appears so..."

Scott takes a deep breath and gets to his feet going into full leader mode.

"Alright Moira get Kurt to the Med Lab use the elevator hidden in the library."

He shift his gaze to Hank and Ororo.

"Beast, Storm find Colossus and search the mansion!"

He than turns to me and Ali.

"You two come with me we'll search the subbasement."

FLINT MARKO: THE SANDMAN
Season III - Part 37

Flint Marko walked away from the store with a grumpy expression on his face. Turns out he couldn't buy a gun. Didn't matter that he had over $3000 dollars on him, because he didn't have a single piece of identification. Flint Marko had a criminal record, and SHIELD didn't want anyone to know they had let him loose. If there was no proof that he was Flint Marko, there would be no way to prove SHIELD had done anything improper.

As Flint continued his melancholy march down the sidewalk, his ears were struck by sounds of panic.

"DON'T NOBODY MOVE OR I'LL BLOW THIS GUY'S HEAD OFF!"

As Flint rounded the corner, he saw an armored car parked against the curb. The back doors were open and a man in a ski mask was busily removing bags of cash and placing them in a waiting van. Off to the side, another man in a ski mask had a sawed-off shotgun pressed against a gentleman's head. This, judging by his uniform, was the driver of the armored car. He had a black eye, a fat lip, and a deep gash on the bridge of his nose. His co-worker was sprawled out on the ground a few feet away, bloodied and unconscious.

"I AIN'T JOKIN'!" The man with the shotgun yelled to the shocked crowd that had gathere. "ANY ONE OF YOU TRY TO BE A HERO AND THIS GUY'S BRAINS WILL BE ALL OVER THE SIDEWALK! I'LL DO IT!"

Flint approached the scene and blended in with the stunned onlookers. As he watched the robbers do their work, he bent down a picked up a handful of dirt. Slowly, he crept towards the man holding the shotgun.

"WHOA! WEREN'T YOU LISTENIN'? YOU TAKE ONE MORE GODDAMN STEP AND THIS GUY'S FREAKIN' DEAD!"

Flint stopped for a second. The other man in a ski mask, the one who was unloading the armored car, still hadn't noticed what he was doing yet. Confident, Flint began to advance once more.

"YOU THINK I'M KIDDIN'? YOU'LL BE NEXT, YA PSYCHO, NOW BACK UP!"

Moving very quickly, Flint threw the handful of dirt into the robber's eyes. The man cursed and instinctively brought both his hands up to his face in an attempt to clear the dirt from his irritated eyes. Flint moved in immeadiately, seized the robber's head, and twisted it sharply. The criminal was dead before he even hit the pavement.

Seeing his partner fall, the other man in the ski mask got in the getaway car and sped away. The driver of the armored car got up and, still trembling from the ordeal, proceed to thank Flint.

"Oh my g-goodness! T-thank God for what you d-did! You saved m-m-my life!"

Flint bent over and picked up the sawed-off shotgun. Police sirens were growing louder by the seconds.

"Is... is he g-gonna be okay?"

Flint looked down at the body of the dead criminal.

"Nope."

* * *

Flint walked to the spot where he and Forge had met the night before. The kid was already waiting for him.

"There you are!" Forge said, sounding relieved. "Thought you had chickened out! Thought I was gonna have to take down Hammerhead on my own!"

Flint shot him a confused look.

"Uh, I was... that was a joke."

"Take a look at this." Flint said, ignoring Forge's attempt at humor. "It's a map of everywhere Hammerhead's been spotted in the past month. Every sighting was in this one area. It's only about four blocks."

"So what are we going to do?"

"See this location I marked? It's a bar. The Crazy Horse. He was seen there more than anywhere else. Tonight we're gonna go there. We'll sit seperately. When you see him, wait for my signal."

"How will I know it's him?"

"You'll know."

"Well, what's your signal?"

"You'll know."

"How did you do for weapons?"

Flint lifted up the long trencoat he was wearing, revealing the sawed-off shotgun that was tucked into his pants.

"Let's get this bastard."

You see him sweating during the prayer, Blaze? Something's smells ****ty.

Johnny pushes Zarathos back into his head and looks at the stranger.

"Well...I, ah..I ride motorcycle for a living. Stunt shows, races, you get my point. I make decent money."

Now talk about him...get him to open up.

Johnny takes a bite of the roast and looks back at Bart.

"So, tell me. What made you become an atheist? Never believed or did something bad happen that made you change your mind about god?"

That a boy, Johnny.

Dazzler

"Yay, the subbasement" I put my hand on my hip defiantly "Why do I get the impression going scooby gang on this guy is not going to work, he is Mr. Luck after all."

Cyclops frowns at me and I feel all warm and fuzzy inside, things seem to be getting back to normal around here. People getting shot, surprise attacks, people whose life you saved trying to kill you. Yup, just like the good old days.

[BLACKOUT]LONGSHOT[/BLACKOUT]

Footsteps of the approaching 'x-men' fill the sub-basement, but the blond haired mutant is more than prepared for them, hurling a flash-bang grenade around the corner just as they arrive.

A blinding flash is met with noises of confusion from the team as they run into the frey, unable to see anything other than blinding whiteness.

"Flashy trick huh?"

As we reach the manual entrance to the subbasement I start to replay Longshot's fighting style to figure out a way to take him on. Scott punches in the access code and looks over his shoulder at us as the door open.

"Be ready for anything, we don't know if Longshot brought back up."

I node my head as I hear Ali unsheath her claws.

Five minutes later...

I walk out of the Danger Room and meet up with Scott and Ali.

"Not in the Danger Room."

"Not in the Hanger."

"Not in Cerebro either."

The realization hits me.

"The med lab! He could be after the Professor!"

We head for the med lab only to be greeted with temporary blindness from Longshots flash-bang grenades.

"Argh!"

"Flashy trick huh?"

"Thats it your dead!"

MAGNETO.jpg

SAVAGE LAND, AVALANCHE'S SECRET LABORATORY...

Magneto entered the laboratory where Avalanche had spent the last two weeks hard at work. "Avalanche, how is work progressing on our friend?"

Avalanche turned from a very sophisticated machine. "I'm glad you're here. Things are great. I had a little trouble making the proper memory adjustments like you requested, but everything else is perfect."

"What kind of problems?"

"Well, the actual concrete memories were easily erased, but for some reason all feelings towards people Jean may have met in her life are all the same."
He scribbled rapidly on a notepad, then turned to Magneto. "You may have some trouble controlling her."

Magneto looked at Avalanche very seriously. "You're sure that you can't fix the problem?"

"I've been trying, but no matter what I do, if the emotional ties are cut, she shuts down. She needs to have feelings of connection to people in order to survive."

Magneto stopped for a moment. "Fine, go ahead as planned. We need her out of here by next week for things to go smoothly. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a meeting with Black Tom." He turned heel and walked towards the door.

"One more thing, Magneto."
Avalanche grabbed his clipboard and prepared himself to write. "She needs a name."

Magneto smiled. "Madelyne Pryor."

**********************************************

LATER...

Magneto entered a large office where Black Tom Cassidy was waiting for him. "Sorry for the delay. Working out the fine details."

Cassidy sucked back on a cigar and kicked his feet off of the desk. "No problem."

Magneto pulled a chair back and sat down. "Now, Mr. Cassidy, I appreciate your willingness to cooperate with my brotherhood, and I guarantee you will be richly rewarded when we have achieved our goal."

Cassidy put his cigar out in the ash tray on the desk. "Now, remind me again what I'm doing."

Magneto turned to the plasma screen behind him. "It had come to my attention that the government is on to our little plan, and it won't be long before they send upgraded sentinels to stop our plan from reaching its intentions." He turned to the plasma screen, showing blueprints and schematics showing the entire Citidel in the Savage Land. "Now, when the Citidel was built we designed it to be moved from the foundations based forty feet in the ground. However, it is not adapted to outer space specifications."

"Outer space?"

"You'll find all of the information here in the blueprints." He flicked off the TV. "To be frank, the Brotherhood is in need of specialized assistance. People who know what they're doing. I'm a strategist and an icon. Most of my men are nothing more than soldiers. You, Mr. Cassidy, are going to be the brains and means to get our agenda underway."

FORGE.jpg

"Yeah, can I get a milk?"

The bartender looked at Forge like he was crazy. Suddenly, he remembered what Flint had told him. "Don't do anything to stand out. Just sit and wait for it. This is a crazy corner of town."

Forge cleared his throat. "Just kiddin'. Pepsi." No sense getting drunk before popping off Hammerhead. He needed to be focused.

The bartender grunted, clearly unimpressed by his joke. "Coke."

Damn it. I hate Coke. "Alright, whatever." He needed his caffeine fix anyways. The man handed him a tall glass bottle with a straw in it. He took in a good long sip. It did taste better from a glass bottle. Huh. I guess all those rumors he heard were right.

Suddenly, Marko walked into the bar. They had decided to enter at different times as to not look suspicious. Forge kicked back and waited for something to happen.

[BLACKOUT]LONGSHOT[/BLACKOUT]

"Play another record mate, heard that one before..."

Scott is the first to release an attack, blasting red energies towards the sound of his voice, but to no avail.

A sharp kick seems to come out of nowhere at Cyclops feels his kneecap slide into an awkward position before collapsing to the ground.

"Someone take this b*st*rd down!"

Sight now returning to the others, a mad scramble ensues to take this mutant down before he causes more distress.

"I hope they snap each other's neck."

Spider-Man leap down the elevator shaft, free falling until he was just above the moving car, and then snagging the wall with a weline, pulling himself in and skittering down the dusty, crummbling concrete.

"The Grinch's lift car moved slowly down the...ahhh, even I'm sick of that already. Gotta kee the material fresh."

PIOTR RASPUTIN: COLOSSUS
Season III - Part 10

Piotr picked up his bag, slung it over his shoulder, and stepped out of his room. He closed the door gently behind him and locked it.

"They'll be fine without me..." He thought as he took a few steps down the hall. "They'll be absolutely fine."

His plan was to march right up to the Triskelion and ask to see Fury. He believed that when SHIELD saw that he'd come alone, they'd be comfortable enough to let him in. Then he'd finally come face to face with Rossovich. At least, that's what he hoped...

"PETER!" The voice was Ororo's. She was running towards him at full speed. Hank followed closely behind her.

"PETER! YOUR COMMUNICATOR IS OFF! WE'VE BEEN TRYING TO REACH YOU!"

"What's wrong?" He asked as he noticed the panicked looks on their faces.

"There's trouble in the mansion." Beast said grimly, panting heavily as he spoke. "It's Longshot."

Piotr's bag hit the floor. His shirt exploded off his body, torn to shreds due to the fantastic change his body suddenly underwent.

COLOSSUS002COVER_400.jpg

"Let's go. Quickly."

After just a few minutes of frantically searching the mansion, the trio of mutants were drawn to riotous sounds emanating from outside the med lab.

"Someone take this b*st*rd down!"

The voice belongs to Scott. He lunges towards Longshot but ends up clutching at thin air as the mutant leaps away. Warren and Ali each take turns swiping at the lucky mutant, who is able to avoid the blows by mere inches.

"Come on now! Can't you lot make this the least bit challenging?"

No sooner had the words escaped Longshot's lips, than Colossus plowed straight into him from behind. The treacherous mutant flies through the air for several feet before crashing into the wall opposite him.

"Don't get up." Colossus growls. "If you get up... I'll break you."

Deadpool! Chapter 35

Brick by Brick

Part IX

"Well, well, well. I can see they've finally done it."
I hear from behind me.

I turn around and see...

Me...

Sure I'm wearing a totally different suit, but no doubt... it's me.

Deadpool.jpg

I...

Knew it!

He friggin cloned me!

"Warren! Warren, can you hear me you coward?! I'll never let you get away with cloning me! I'm gonna kill you! Then I'm gonna clone you, and I'll kill all your clones!"' I shout at the darkness.

"Go ahead, call to the voice and threaten him. That'll work. I mean, come on, it's done wonders for you so far."

I pause.

Who is this guy?

How does he know about the voice?

"Shut up, clone." I say through gritted teeth.

He waves his hands in the air and kneels down on a knee.
"Right, right." he says, "Just ignore me, even though I know exactly what's going on here."

I turn around slowly and look at him.

"Fine. Talk to me."

"Cool! I've been hoping for a chance like this!" He says, "But... in order to tell this tale properly, I'll need a handy-dandy flashback device!"

The ground shakes.

The air around me quivers and the room I had found myself in previously vanishes. Before me, lies complete blackness.

"From the moment we're a teenie tiny little baby, 'till the moment we meet our inevitable end, we're under the control of someone else."

"You're talking about God." I tell him. "The big Kahuna. The "Spirit in the Sky." "Yahweh.""

"No. Not at all... There's no way I'm this dumb in any incarnation." I clear my throat, obviously annoyed. "Right... Think of everything you've ever said. Every joke, every threat, every statement ever. Even every thought you've ever had... Someone else came up with it."

Came up with it?

What the hell does he mean 'came up with it?'

I'm Deadpool! The one and only!

I hear a cell phone ringing. The other Deadpool answers it.

"Yeah... Uh-huh... and to him you're still a whispering voice? Alright... and he thought what? And You want me to reveal all this now?" He says into the phone.

With a swift 'click' he hangs up.

"Came up with it? What the hell does he mean 'came up with it?' I'm Deadpool!" He says. Then, after a distinct pause, "The one and only!"I stare at him, wide-eyed from behind my mask.

"That is what you just thought isn't it?"

How...

How could he have known that?

My eyes grow wider and I feel my heartbeat racing against the plastic helmet lodged around my head.

"I told you how. The voice on my phone and the voice you've been hearing here belong to the same person. He goes by the name Spideyssuperfan."

What a dumb name.

"So what're you telling me?" I ask "That this guy can read my thoughts?"

"No." The other Deadpool says. "What I'm telling you is that he creates them."

AVALANCHE'S LAB, SAVAGE LAND, ANTARCTICA...

"Don't touch that." Avalanche review the hundreds of variables on his computer screen. "Or that."

Mimic threw his hands in the air. "Bloody Hell! What are we even doin' here?!"

Mastermind pushed his sunglasses over his eyes. "We're here just in case anything goes wrong during the activation."

"Yeah, so keep your hands off the machinery! One variable off and we're all dead! This is already a touchy procedure!"

Mimic slumped into a office chair. "Whatever."

Avalanche entered a few last minute entries. "Alright. Ready to go." He put on a pair of goggles, handing a pair to Mastermind and another to Mimic. "You will need these."

"Right." The two of them prepared themselves for the procedure at hand.

"Just a warning. Clone subjects are usually fairly defensive when awakened for the first time."
Avalanche pressed the big red button on the control panel, activating the large pod where the cloned red-head lied.

ELSEWHERE...

Toad, Multiple Man, Rogue, and Blob flew over top of the city below. Rogue checked her cell phone again. "The call came from down there."

One of Multiple Man's dupes, the one flying the chopper, moved toward the corner. "That phonebooth?"

"That's the one."

"Alright, mates, let's make this quick."
Toad sprung out of the chopper onto the roof of a nearby building.

OUTSIDE MAGNETO'S CITADEL, SAVAGE LAND...

Blink and Black Tom Cassidy walked around the outer courts of Magneto's Citadel, watching Cassidy's men as they worked. "How are things going, Mr. Cassidy?"

"Everything is on schedule. We should be finished in about a week."

"And there is no reason to believe that these upgrades are going to fail?"

Cassidy stopped in his tracks, facing Blink. "My dear pink mistress. I would bet my life on any of Cassidy Enterprizes handy work."

Blink stared coldly at Cassidy. "That's not what I asked, Tom."

Cassidy turned away, continuing onward. "Upgrading a structure of this magnitude that was built solely to withhold slight storms simulated by Magneto's equipment to make the Antarctica into a tropical wonderland to a sudden space-station is something that, not only has never been done before, but quite possibly the most complicated procedure I have ever undertaken."

Blink wasn't impressed. "Magneto doesn't take well to excuses, Mr. Cassidy."

"I wasn't finished. I have full confidence that whoever came up with these blueprints and plans was a genius. It is flawless in design. I am confident that this WILL meet Magneto's expectations."

Blink gave Cassidy a quick smile. "Perfect." Suddenly, in a flash of pink light, she disappeared.

Cassidy looked back at the Citadel. I've only ever seen this kind of precision in engineering come from one man. Forge.

MADELYNEPRYOR.jpg

Darkness. Confusion. Where was she? What was that noise? She opened her eyes and put up her hands. Something stopped them. What was it? Glass. Why was she in glass? Had she been captured? If so, by who? She turned her head to see three men. One of them, wearing a labcoat and carrying a clipboard, looked over at her and waved. "Hello, Madelyne. You're probably confused. I need you to stay calm, okay?"

Calm? CALM?! "LET ME OUT OF HERE YOU MOTHER F***ER!!!" She banged on the glass hard, cracking it.

This seemed to disturb the man with the clipboard. Another suddenly turned to solid metal, turning to the others. "This is why we're were right?"

Oh, so it was a fight they wanted! Well, she could give them that. She could rip them apart without them even blinking an eye.

"Nonononono! Mimic, stand down." The man in the labcoat walked closer to the tank. "Madelyn, you're among friends. You were just in there sleeping. If you promise not to kill us we'll let you out."

Hehe. Scared already. She could play this game. It was obvious this glass was really no threat, but she could always go along with it. You know, for fun. She stopped and smiled at the three men. "Okay."

"That's more like it." The man in the labcoat walked over to the computer and pressed a few buttons.

"I think she should stay in there for a bit, Avalanche. She seems a bit...unstable."

382px-Marvel_Girl_%28Ultimate%29_003.jpg

Suddenly, the glass opened, and she burst into flames. She threw flames at all three of them, sending them running for cover. "Unstable? Something like that. Yeah." She ran for the exit, smashing the door open with her telekinesis.

She could hear the labcoat man's voice from the lab. "F***! All soldiers, this is Avalanche, we have a Code Red. Project Pryor is loose in the Citadel. Bring her down alive and unharmed. Repeat. I want her in here now!"

Project Pryor, huh? Madelyne Pryor. That was her name, afterall. She ran down the hall, heading for the exit.

[BLACKOUT]LONGSHOT[/BLACKOUT]

Unexpectedly finding himself on the floor, the russian's words evoked feeling of annoyance.

"No mate, you'll try, and that little experiment will end in tears..."

Flipping his tired form up, he manages to vault across the hallway, a steaming mad tank of a mutant charges towards him, a slight fault in timing would spell certain death for the blond haired menace.

A fraction of a second before the impact, a flick of hair is all that comes into contact with the hulking collossus, as he crumples the steel dooor with little resistance. The steel door which encased a certain mutant whom Longshot was asked to retrieve.

Startled, but nevertheless ready as always, a nimble, elegant and beautiful woman leaps out of her confinement.

"Thanks Piotr, couldn't keep away huh?"

FLINT MARKO: THE SANDMAN
Season III - Part 38

Flint enters the bar and takes a seat in a shady corner booth. A halo of cigarette smoke rings his head. He steeples his fingers and looks around attentively.

"Can I get you somethin', honey?"

The waitress is young and shapely. Flint spends a couple of seconds thinking about all the things he could do to that body. But only a couple of seconds. He's here for business, not pleasure.

"Double shot of Crown Royal. Actually... make it two."

The waitress winks at Flint and then saunters off. Flint reaches into his jacket and touches the cold steel of the shotgun. He watches... he waits...

Forge is sitting at the bar, trying not to look at Flint but doing nothing but. He's a good kid. Flint knows he is. He's just not the same type of man... he doesn't have that edge... that killer instinct that comes from a life of pain. Flint hopes that its something Forge never has to develop it.

"Here you go, honey. Anything else I can do for you tonight?"

The waitress reaches out and rubs Flint's arm. She looks deep into his eyes; a playful smile on her lips. Flint knows he could have her. He knows he could take her on for the night... the whole night... but he resists. This time, it's not because of his drive for revenge. It has nothing to do with Hammerhead. Flint resists because of Sharon Carter.

"No."

The waitress collects her tip without looking to upset by the dismissal and moves along to another table. At the same moment, three men emerge from the back room. One seems to be the bar owner. He is pleading. Begging. The other two men are working together. One of them, Flint does not recognize. The other... he does.

Ultimatehammerhead.jpg

Flint's mouth goes dry. He downs both double shots of Crown Royal without flinching but it does not help. He grips the shotgun tightly. So tightly that his knuckles turn white. He waches as the bar owner continues to plead with the unsympathetic men, then he erupts form his seat.

Crossing the bar in a few determined strides, Flint walks up to Hammerhead and presses the mouth of the shotgun against the back of his head. Hammerhead's body stiffens. The entire bar becomes deathly silent and still. Forge stands up, but is unsure of what to do.

"Hey there, Mr. H." Flint growls through clenched teeth. "Remember me?"

Scott's back on his feet and looks at Longshot and the newly released Mystique.

"Great. Hank, Ali your taking on Mystique with me! Warren, Piotr, Ororo you handle Longshot!"

"Understood."

As one we charge at our enemies.

Blackheart1.jpg

Blackheart stares at Johnny for a second. So he isn’t so stupid as he looks. Good. Blackheart takes a drink from the glass on the table. He sets it down, and responds.

“God doesn’t believe in me, why should I believe in him Mr. Blaze?” Blackheart lets out a sigh of relief. He knows it came out well, and he thinks of what to ask next.

“So, Johnny. Motorcycle stuntman? That’s sounds dangerous. I be you work around a lot of fire. Probably seen a lot of speed demons and been around a lot of death, mmhh?” Blackheart smiles and stares at Johnny straight in the eyes. Your move, nephilim.

"Oh and if your out to hurt Peter, I'll make you eat that tail and than I'll throw into the east river "Soprano" style you understand?"
ultimatescorpionbanner2.png

Scorpion looks at Taranrtula. He thinks to himself about the true identity of this new creature. Could it be him? Or is it Parker? Or are we all Parker? He stares at Tarantula motionlessly. Then his tail lowers, and scorpion speaks

"Team, you say? Yes...a team. I will join this, team for now until you lead me to him. And if you double cross me?" He smiles "There will be no remains for anyone to bury. Lets go. Now!"

HAMMERHEAD

The cold steel pressed against my head, the smell of gunpowder still lingers on it, it's been used recently. But if he wanted to go paintin' the walls with me, he'd of done it by now.

"Why the hell would I remember some ***** who has to whisper sweet nothing's in my ear before shooting?"

I turn around, the barrel now directly in my face.

"That's a big weapon for a little girl."

I raise my hand and clasp the handle, just above his hand. The look in his eyes shows something. The guy's a nut, and just when I was gettin' bored of these losers, 'bout time for someone with balls, fair enough he won't have 'em for long.

I remain alert as Scorpion remains quiet.

Why am I trusting this guy!? For all I know he could turn on me and kill Peter when we find him! But still my spider sense would be blaring right now if I was in danger and right now alls quiet.

After what feels like an eternity Scop finally lowers his tail.

"Team, you say? Yes...a team. I will join this, team for now until you lead me to him. And if you double cross me? There will be no remains for anyone to bury. Lets go. Now!"

I node my head.

"Right back at ya Scorpy, just keep the tail rays to yaself and we'll be cool. Hope you can keep up!"

I step off the building feeling the webline go tuant and carry me down the street.
