I always hated the art style, it was the main reason it took me so long to finally watch it. I eventually got used to it and it didn't bother me that much overall but I still wish it was different/better.

Really? That is the only good thing about this show. It has the best art style of any sm cartoon but ever thing else sucks really really bad.

I'll take a female Green Goblin that actually looks like the Goblin, over the Abomination resembling Goblin of the show.

Btw the pumpkin necklace is a nice touch, I really think whoever designed her did a good job. Would like to see more of her explored in the future.

While ok I think the sm in this cartoon has the best art style but some of the villains art styles are really bad like yeah goblin.

I too saw part 1 of the Spider-Verse arch. Haven't really commented on the show till now, no where near as enjoyable as Spectacular Spider-Man. This show has it's moments and there have been some episodes I enjoyed, but there is a lot that I don't like either.

Back to the Spider-Verse episode, anyone else happy to see the classic Goblin look on Norma Osborn from the Spider-Girl universe? It's crazy that an alternate female Goblin stays true to the original look more than the show's actual Goblin.
I liked seeing a more classic look, but gender bender.. meeeeehhh
Wonder how MJ and Aunt May are like in that world.

 hopeless... absolutely hopeless... and it just goes on and on...

What do you think of the news of cancellation not being real?

This is pretty much my feelings on the show. It's difficult to sit through many of the episodes without taking a break. Every now and again, there's a moment where I go, "oh, that was cool." Unfortunately, those are few and far between.

I haven't watched this episode yet but, yeah, at least this design of the GG is better than the USM hulk-Goblin. Question though...is the look of the female GG in this show comparable to the GG in the Spider-Girl comics? Or did they just adopt the look from 616 Spider-Man?

I agree. I actually like the pumpkin necklace.

I'm somewhere in the middle between you and Johnny-Oh. I don't hate the art style/character designs but I am not gushing over them either. They are very generic looking to me. There's nothing original about them nor anything that sets them apart from any other current animated production.

What do you think of the news of cancellation not being real?

Are you asking Thunderstrike or everyone? I'm pretty sure you can guess what Thunderstrike's answer is gonna be, lol :cwink:

It's aimed at Mr. Thunderstrike, and I did guess his answer before asking. :D
Anyone can answer the question.

you don't have to wear a red dress and call yourself Madame Web to read my mind as to the answer to THAT, zeez... :funny:

I really liked the first episode of the Spiderverse. I'm not exactly thrilled to see Spider-Ham next week, but the 2099 appearance was worth it. I especially liked the different style of animation that was used.

Anyone can answer the question.

Alrighty. Well, I'm not a fan of the show, so, it being continued just means I won't be watching an animated version of Spidey that I will most likely enjoy. I'm not surprised though at the show's continuation--it's getting good ratings and earning big bucks in merchandising. Also, didn't this version of Spider-Man essentially give birth to Avengers Assemble? And a new GotG show? As long as those continue, I would expect this USM show will too.

and you see how good THAT show is... NOT...

so I don't hold much hope for the GOTG animated, either...

I wouldn't either. Unsurprisingly, the episodes that featured GotG in USM weren't very good at all.

Such a sad state of affairs these days for animated shows.

I guess it would be easier to name top 5 episodes for this show.

I have...
Umm, hmmm, Uhhmmm.......

Freaky
I Am Spider-Man
Spidah-Man!
Journey of the Iron Fist
Spider-Hulk

Maybe list, I had a hard time picking them

Oh lawd. We're picking a top 5 for this series?? Ok. Gonna have to think about it for a bit. Though I can say with authority that Freaky will be in there :yay:

Yep, more positiveness would help this thread. :)

This show is mostly forgettable though, took me a while to squeeze out a full 5 list.

Here are my top 5. I haven't watched enough from season 3, so it may change.

1. Rise of the Goblin
2. Freaky
3. Kraven the Hunter
4. Stan by Me
5. Revealed

This show really makes me wish they release an adult themed spider-man show. It's too goofy and too kid friendly for me.

Being the kind of Spider-Man fan I am I gotta say I enjoyed this show. ESPECIALLY the Spider-Verse Arc I cannot believe they did that. I mean Oh My God. Miles Morales meeting Peter Parker? The Ultimate Miles Goblin was absolutely horrific in a good way very menacing.

Would I like to see this series continue? Maybe. There's alot of things they haven't touched yet that they could do. But if it ended on this note I'd be completely okay with it.

1. The Howling Commandos
2. Blade
3. The Spider-verse part 1
4. Ultimate Deadpool
5. Cloak and Dagger

To be honest, the Spider-verse eppy last week was the first one I authentically enjoyed since the Halloween Special (Blade and the HC), but a few other episodes have had their moments.
