The Chibis are cute, but ugghhh...there's such a thing as too much. Can't believe EMH is getting taken off the menu and we're served up THIS load of...I can't even think of a word!

I can help you out there:

Crap
Garbage
Junk
atrocious
terrible

Those are pretty applicable to start :)

uhhhh, you're just being TOO kind... those words aren't QUITE the ones I was thinking of... :woot:

Does anybody know about the ratings this crappy show is getting? Nothing pleases me more than seeing the ****ed-up faces of Joe Quesada and Jeph Loeb when they are told by Marvel to cancel the show due to poor ratings!

I don't think they're very good. The review scores aren't too high either. But it appears that they will definitely make a second season, even if the ratings are bad.

Sometimes I think that they just do this to screw us over. If they really cared about the fans, they would've done everything within their power to keep 'The Spectacular Spider-man' on air. Sadly, they only care about themselves.

Wasn't money what they were mostly after? Then why did they cancell a popular show like Spectacular Spider-Man in favor of this one that is constantly getting mediocre reviews and ratings?

Not even close...but thanks :)

The ones I was thinking of might get me banned from this forum so bad I'd land in another realm and be unable to pick up my weapon of choice :P

That is just BS. Why make a second season if the show has been receiving negative reviews, feed backs, and complaints? Isn't it all about the rating, which will determine if the show gets another season? Is this show really making that much money that it merits a second season?

don't worry... we perceptive and intelligent ones know exactly WHAT those choice words are... :cwink:

They were so confident, that they already started to work on the 2nd Season, before the first one even aired I believe.

Now the only choice we have left is to wait until both Seasons aired. With the current trend, it won't even get a 3rd Season anyway.

So another possibility that a Spider-Man series gets cancelled after only two seasons. Sigh...

I sure hope so.

Funny story, i was reading a MArvel comics from last week (i dont remember which one since i read most of the marvel comics) where at the editorial someone from marvel calls Ultimate spider-man "the best show on television" i LOLed hard.

In other news, man of action's facebook page is getting a lot of ultimate spidey hate. check it out:

In this case, it would be a good thing.

Definitely. Every time I watch an episode of this show, I miss 'Spectacular Spider-man' even more... :csad:

I'm still hoping that they come to their senses and after they cancel 'Ultimate Spider-man', they bring back Spectacular. It would be the only right thing to do. But yeah, you can't expect things like that from these people.

TSSM was one of the best shows, not just one of the best spider-man shows, I have ever seen. I really dont feel like it was even geared towards kids. It was a fun, mature, funny, intense, action, emotional, SPECTACULAR show
I still believe TSSM is the best superhero animated series ever!(yes, even better than Batman: the Animated Series)Spectacular Spider-man Vs. Batman TAS http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=325437

No one wants to watch the story of an obnoxious teenager turned superhero who learns nothing, a story that goes nowhere, and animatics that talk to you like you're a five year old.

If it was Slapstick they might watch it. Heck, if Marvel was smart they should have hired the creators of either PHINEAS & FERB or the creator of KICK BUTTOWSKIE to do a comedy animated superhero seri9es featuring Slapstick (as well as one about Damage Control).

I still kind of like this show, but it's making me miss Spectacular Spider-man more and more.

I recently went back and watched the second season and, man, it was just so perfect. Everything about it. It made you actually care about Peter's supporting cast, even Flash, and took creative risks with some characters that really paid off.

I would have killed for a third season after where the second ended. :(

That said I've only just started watching The Avengers: EMH and, yeah, if Marvel dumb that down or cancel it then I'll be annoyed.

Still, we're not really the target audience for this kind of thing. If USM is resonating with kids more than Spectacular then I can hack it. We have awesome comics and awesome movies, and cartoons that help bring in a younger audience will ensure we keep getting those.

Yup, i was becoming invested in the characters too, it's a shame they decided to cancel it, one of the few shows where i was able to like every single character. In 2 seasons it became one of the best superhero animated shows, one more season and it may have become in the level of Batman: TAS
