The 1st movie had awful action scenes, which really ruined the movie for me. Drive Angry was a very awesome exploitation film.

haha true, true. I don't care what anyone says, The Wicker Man is ****ing brilliant.

HOW DID IT BURN?! HOW DID IT BURN!?! HOW DID IT BURRRRRNNNN!!??!?!!?

I'm partial to Vampire's Kiss m'self. "I'M A VAMPIIIIIIIIRE!! I'M A VAMPIIIIIIIRE!!" :funny:

Nic Cage will save the world from itself.

You could unite all the worlds warring factions by showing them a Nic Cage marathon. True story.

Corp, just caught up with Mighty Thor. Your avy was such an awesome moment.
"The hell is this naked shining madman talking about, father?"

Haha, yeah. I have some problems with how much of a dick Fraction is making both Thor and Odin, but I loved the whole Silver Surfer fight. I actually found a scan of the pages with the headbutt online and made it my work computer's desktop background. :hehe:

So wait... Fraction's Thor doesn't know who the Surfer is? He calles him "naked shining madman?"

No, Fraction's Thor is just a raging dickhole. He calls the Surfer names because he's apparently angry at everything in the universe. He calls the Surfer "silver bastard" a few times over the course of the fight too. Although sometimes he doesn't even bother with words; he just roars like a psychopathic animal.

They knew. Odin addresses him, but like Corp mentioned, Fraction's Thor is a dick. Which I love. :D

Ehhhh I don't really like Fraction's take. I enjoyed Ages of Thunder, because Thor was supposed to be an arrogant dick then.

But he shouldn't be now.

And oh, his Odin is on par with the actual mythical Odin in the *****e bag stakes.

I don't know enough about Thor compared to someone like Corp. I can appreciate the almighty all godly dick behavior.

I sure wouldn't want him interacting with the Avengers that way though. I'm still playing catch up with Siege and the rest of the Marvel universe, so he probably is, isn't he?

Odin I'm cooler with because 1) Odin's been a major dick in the past, and 2) Odin's always got some kind of long-term schemes running that require him to force the other Asgardians to do things that seem *****ey on the surface but end up being for their own good.

But Fraction's Thor bugs me. As Morningstar said, it's kind of a major cornerstone of Thor's whole modern-day personality that he not be the arrogant dickwad Fraction loves portraying him as. He was supposed to have grown past that due to the Blake thing.

He wasn't a dick in Siege or in the first few issues of Avengers. He's actually fairly noble and regal under Bendis' pen. But I never read past that because Bendis' writing does not agree with me.

Fraction's writing Fear Itself, however, so dick-Thor is in full effect there. Even worse than just being a dick, Fraction's Thor is a thuggish, kind of stupid dick. He called the Hulk a "pain in the ass" in the most recent Fear Itself issue. Not really up there with the kind of regal dialogue JMS and Kieron Gillen have been giving Thor since his comic relaunched, so that's a bit jarring.

I'm not saying there's nothing to like about dick-Thor. There's definitely a certain primeval enjoyment in seeing this monstrously powerful god throw ceremony aside and just wallop on people while screaming his head off. But that's just not Thor. At least not modern-day Thor.

Yea man, when Thor is walloping people around with Mjolnir he should be should be shouting things like "Your base arrogance shall see you smited!"

Not "you're a pain in the ass"

I mean seriously... that is horrendous dialogue for Thor.

Hahaha, I need to read Fear Itself. I'm so behind, but Immonen is one of my favorites, so regardless of the content, pretty pictures!

Immonen and Ellis are reuniting in Secret Avengers #21, outrageous. <3 From #21 to #27!

Yea, Immonen is great. But with me, I can overlook bad art if it's a great story. But I can't overlook bad story even it's brilliant art.

The fight did look pretty good in Fear Itself. Thor nearly kills the Thing and launches the Hulk into space. :thor:

So what else has Fraction been up to? I left comics right around his departure with Iron Fist. I was ready to praise his name in the streets for that run. :o

He's finally getting around to doing new Casanova.
