no....a 5'2 spawn of the devil broke my heart and did a ****ing Mexican hat dance on it

Same thing. :o

Punched in the nards by a midget or heart broken by a tiny senorita wearing clogs.

Either way, it's gonna hurt....and it's gonna stay with you forevers.

Chin up, b****es. I just got $5 off my dinner because the delivery driver's over half an hour late. :awesome:

I loved that movie. I was surprised at how much I loved that movie, in fact. The trailer made it look horrible.

it does seem rather stupid by the trailer.....but its one of Disneys better movies in the past few years

I love that she runs around barefoot for the whole movie, that and being ridiculously positive

Haha, the first moment she steps on grass was hilarious. That whole sequence of her constantly arguing with herself about leaving the tower was great.

that was hilarious

'BEST. DAY. EVER."

"I am a despicable human being"

My personal favorite was when she was swinging around the tree with her hair. :D

So I'm watching Alphas now. It kind of boils down to "What if Professor X were a foppish psychiatrist and the X-Men were all kind of inept?"

They're not inept, they just haven't been trained to be super heroes by a freaking telepath since their teenage years.

I think that's what makes Alphas (and quite frankly, most episodic cable dramas) so charming. The main characters are simultaneously extraordinary and inept. Nothing is going to be easy for these people, and it makes you want them to succeed that much more. And their ineptitude is based more on a lack of experience than a lack of common sense, so you're not slamming your head against the wall the entire time it's on.

Only insofar as they both center on the concept of people developing powers. Alphas isn't a black comedy like Misfits, though. It's more of a straightforward procedural show with the powers thing as its one little twist.

Yeah, it's not bad. Plus, all things considered, I'd prefer this take on the "normal people develop powers" idea than something super-cheesy where everyone's a badass, like Mutant X.

The autistic kid is really annoying, though. I guess that's un-PC to say, but for serious, dude, he's really irritating. :o

Is Alphas like Misfits?

Ehhhhhh, no.

They aren't all inept. Malik Yoba's an FBI agent, so he's got some training. Not so much on how to not be a *****e bag. The question is, is he a *****e, or do his powers make him a *****e?

boooo

I grow tired of the troubled but gifted bit....its overdone at this point and not even David Straitharn has an excuse

this is the guy that did 'Good Night, and Good Luck' and now hes slumming on the syfy channel?

wha happened?

Good Night, and Good Luck, like most critically acclaimed films, shows, music, etc, didn't sell worth a s**t. And critical acclaim don't pay the bills.

Gotta support that coke habit somehow. :o

He's just a *****e.

To be honest, I kind of like Bill more than anyone else. The rest of them are all weepy or panicked whenever cool s*** happens. Plus, he's got a normal family life. That's kind of novel for these shows.

Is it just me or do we got Lag again?

Did Christian Bale stubb his toe or something and now the net has exploded?
