:pal: well done.

Well done? He has been trundling out that same line to slag me off for the last couple of days now, the whole 'I want an apology' thing. Give him praise when he actually comes up with some new, or even funny in the first place, material.

:lips: < this is funnier fer chrissakes )

The Damned United was indeed quality, I've watched it several times.

My favourite footie film is There is Only One Jimmy Grimble. Awesome.

And I never got to see First Class at the weekend :cmad: The girlfriend wanted to see Pirates, but we didn't see that either. We ended up just going for a Chinese and getting hammered. Well, her more than me.

I also did it under the assumption that you would be coming here wanting the best for this club. For the city of Leeds. So why do I get the feeling this is all about you and Don?

Of course it's just about me and Don. Always has been. But instead of putting frowns on your foreheads, all you elders of Leeds in your blazers and your brass-f******-buttons, it should put big white Colgate smiles on your big white faces. Because it means I won't eat, and won't sleep until I've taken whatever that man's achieved, and beaten it. Beaten it so I never have to hear the name Don f****** Revie again. Beat it, the only name anyone sings in the Yorkshire ale houses, raising their stinking jars to their stinking mouths, is Brian Clough. Brian Clough uber-f*****-alles! Understand?

Movies so awesome :awesome:

I'm gonna give you some good advice,
Brian Clough.

No matter how good you think you are or how clever, how many fancy new friends you make on the telly, the reality of footballing life is this:

The chairman is the boss, then comes the directors... then the secretary, then the fans, then the players... and then finally, last of all... bottom of the heap, the lowest of the low... comes the one, who in the end, we can all do without... the ****ing manager.

Hahaha i have no interest in sport but i still dug that film. It was a pretty great movie

I wonder who the new facial capture for the new Tomb Raider series is. The character design for Lara looks gorgeous even with the blood and grime.

The E3 trailer and gameplay got a lot of grief for Lara's pants and groans of pain coming off as sexual moans.

I get that in games like Uncharted, characters like Drake have a witty line for everything and I appreciate it for the action game that it is. The Tomb Raider game seems to more about Survival and when you're hurt, tired and scared out of your wits it doesn't matter what you sound like.

I think this is kinda sexist. This isn't Lara of old, full of confidence, a pair of .45s and a glorious rack. This reboot is more of a struggle of the human spirit kind of stuff. Sure, the main character still looks like her face was carved by angels but how else were they going to sell it? She's young, idealistic and placed in a desperate situation. The premise looks pretty solid. I might give this a pick up.

After Uncharted 3 of course. Is that Helen Mirran as the main villain in U3? Looks like her.

Was the groans getting grief all that much for sounding sexual? I know some made jokes about it, but I thought it was mostly getting that grief because it sounded insanely annoying.

How would it be less annoying? Listening to Kratos grunt while pushing or pulling a puzzle box is just as annoying to me. Maybe they overplayed the panic bit but I have hopes for the game which is surprising since I've never actually played a single Tomb Raider game...ever.

They all to take a page from Dante, his smart ass lines were half the fun of (old) Devil May Cry

They endured up till DMC3. Then I got bored of them.

Heh, speaking of DMC, seems they haven't forgiven Ninja Theory for the radical redesign.

It's really wierd, you'd think that turning the main character of the franchise into someone who looks like they belong in rehab, would turn away potential new players. But I guess anything better than the trash that is dmc4

Have you guys seen the United movie with David Tennant and Cook from Skins? Thought it was pretty good. Not as good as The Damned United.

Well he seems to be even younger than he wa sin DMC3 with his hair still black and having abit of white streak, but Capcom did tell them to go wild and i liked the punk rock attitude they seem to have given him.

yeah thats another thing, is this new game another Prequel or is it a full on reboot?

Well I can only hope that they do a better design job with Virgil, if he even appears.

Think that I might check out the Devil May Cry reboot too and see if its any good

I might play through that if I think it looks good did you like the trailer sandwraith

I'm still buying Uncharted 3 over the Tomb Raider reboot game (although the graphics do look amazing in Tomb Raider). Also Battlefield 3 blew my mind. :wow:

Helen Mirren as the villain sounds pretty fab to me. She is such an incredible actress and an :awesome: lady.

She still looks gorgeous too

I have yet to play an Uncharted game. I know, I'm the only one.

I have not either but i am interested in checking them out if they are so good  i might check out the first game this week and see what I think

I don't have a PS3 so I've never played Uncharted. But honestly, never really been clamoring to anyway.

It's the only game (to me) that felt like playing an epic cinematic adventure film like Raiders. The cut scenes and the gameplay goes together seamlessly.
