Besides, once gays can get married in the States, the rest of the world should follow suit

It's official...I'm losing my best friend to the accursed institution known as marriage.

The regular version I mean.

Actually the U.S is slightly behind on that issue alot of countries already have legalized gay marriage or atleast civil partnerships.

Even Spain and Argentina legalized it and they are hardcore catholic countries.

I'm not arguing against the merit of "granting rights" but I do think it's waste of time when you have legislative houses working overtime to pass a bill that is only going affect a certain group. I rather they work overtime to fix the economy and get unemployment rates under control. I guess in simplest terms, we have bigger problems to worry about. I'm happy for the gays, I look forward to gay divorces as well.

I don't see the big deal its not like goverments can only focus on one issue. There are huge Economic problems eveywhere that ain't called China right now but politicians are still doing other things. They are not elected for only one reason or issue.

Gay marriage? Who the **** cares? I gotta pay the rent the next week. Last time I checked the economy is still in the ****ter, we're about this close to officially becoming a third world country, we have people dying in the streets. But it's cool, because the gays in NY can get married now. Awesome. **** it.

Lgbt rights and social freedoms are the only things I care about. Their the only things that matter to me. That's why i only ever vote for people who are pro lgbt and socially liberal becausr nothing else matters to me

so if getting some pro LGBT measure passed means closing down a battered womens shelter or school you support that
