Wow, this movie seems amazingly jammed pack with cool creatures, I can hardly believe it!
Does anyone else think this looks like a scene from LOTR?

I might just start checking out the Hellboy comics because of this!
I can tell that guy on the left is SO excited for this movie.t:

Are the creatures and characters in the movie from the comics, or are they mostly original characters made for the movie?
Original creatures for the film. Lead characters from the comics.
Incidentally, the guy in the alcove ... if I remember rightly, that day they were shooting the last of the Hellboy/Wink fight in the Troll Market, and at that point we were waiting around as lighting was shifted. It was also nearly midnight, after shooting from about 8am. Everyone was pretty weary, so he maybe took refuge in the alcove for a two-minute power nap?
HM
Did you work on the movie?
In fact, the alcove that the guy is standing in is quite deep - there was another guy beside him and they're having a conversation. If you look at Ron and GdT, standing between them further back, the bearded guy, that's Mark Setrakian of Spectral Motion. He's the guy who created the Mecha Glove, Ivan the Corpse, the animatronic Sammael's head and tongue and the Right Hand of Doom in the first film. In this shot he was working the animatronics in Wink's head and he and his team also worked the Right Hand of Doom. I might just start checking out the Hellboy comics because of this!
If you like the look of this film, you should definately check out the B.P.R.D. comics, because the movies are more B.P.R.D. than they are Hellboy. If you get my drift.
But check out Hellboy to, they're fantastic comics, probably my favorite series.
I havent read the B.P.R.D one's yet, any particular recommendations?
Yeah, you should definately pick up Hollow Earth and Other Stories (the first one) and then the third one Plague of Frogs, you can skip the second one The Soul of Venice and other stories because it's a collection of rather bad one-shots. Then The Dead and The Black Flame there are some more, but I've only read 1-5.
