Most of the Americans I've worked with come from the coast (East or West, I never really asked) and the only Southern people I know are Jim Ross from WWE and General Lee from Civil War movies. They seem likeable enough.

there are several "souths" but most folks from the various rural areas of the south are pretty nice, they just come with their quirks. i imagine that's the same anywhere you go though, except the northeast past philly.

Gayfolk I've met and have come to accept (begrudgingly) that they are people too (one of my sergeants who was a workhorse and a fine example of a soldier was in fact...Well. You know.) In fact Gay men I have better regard for than Lesbian women. 'Cause you know...They can be gentlemen about it.

Before my last Military Exercise in Australia, me and a couple of other troops of Indian descent had to attend a briefing about what/who/where to avoid during the whole Indian student beatings in Australia. Basically told us to stay away from the womenfolk. Which is hard because Aussie girls are real nice. I mean REAL nice.

Yeah, the first person I loved (or thought I loved) cheated on me with my best friend at the time. Then, after breaking up with me, decided she'd try women. There were a few more cuts that went a little deeper, but yeah, that was a mess.

yeah, heard that one too. got a cousin in perth i think? not real sure, but somewhere out there. gotta try and use that as an excuse at some point to visit. his wife has some lovely friends from the photos i've seen

Seriously, I have no problems with Homosexuals. I've just never had the chance to sit down and talk to a homosexual woman. I've had chances to speak with Homosexual men. I don't disapprove of it. I am by no means in any position to do such thing. It does worry me about how I can handle rejection from a woman only to find out she's a lesbian. That worries me. What also worries me is how a person comes to the realisation that he or she prefers people of their own gender. If say someone I knew all my life told me that he's gay, I'm not sure how I could handle that.

Unlike The Last Stand, Mathew Vaughn didn't abandon ship after reading the script and looking at his shooting schedule, so I've got my hopes up a little higher than they were for the last couple of X-Men movies.
