Carnage will never show, unless you want a blood-soaked, no rating film that would make a joining of all Friday the 13th movies look sedate.

To me all main villians should be used before we get to the villians that were spawned from this or that. We could get Venom that would be right, but Canage?? Before we get to Carnage, villians like THE LIZARD, chameleon, Mysterio....blahblah.. should be used first. With the surplus of great Spidey villians, they should use the big main ones before they disperse into the second adaptions.

I agree with most people here that we should see the classic original villains first. Also I think what could be interesting is if Carnage killed venom and the symbiote like came out of Brocks cut and went onto Kleatus.

Not sure what to think but I think Carnage should be in a Venom spin off film rather than a Spider-Man one

I LOVE Carnage but there is no way he should be in a Spider-man movie.....Venom spin-off is a possibility......

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Raimi say he planned a Spidey story arc that would be DEFINITIVELY ended after three movies?

I don't know, never heard/seen/read that before.

i heard that too, but my belief in it has been somewhat hindered by reading everyones post about a 4th and 5th movie. i don't know whats true anymore.

We really don't need Venom at this point in the franchise - #3 should focus on the clash between Peter Parker's Spider-Man & Harry Osborne as Green Goblin #2, there's too much build up alread from the last two films not to have it come full circle in #3.

Besides that, Venom is too big a character in and of himself to just appear out of nowhere. He needs his own separate arc of films to have justice done to him.

Plus, Venom deserves better than Topher Grace.

After some thought, I am relieved to say that as of the inclusion of Gwen Stacy, Venom is more unlikely than ever. Focusing as we will on Peter Parker [sigh], I just do not see how we would have time to fit him in with two other villains. We have:

GG2 to finish up...

Peter probably involved with not one, but two females - and all the soap-opera antics that is going to entail...

Chocolate-cake girl v.2 for good measure... maybe he'll be tempted by the fruit of another, not only with Gwen but with this famine-stricken soul too...

Then we have Sandman, and his origin in the lab staffed by 100 hotties...

And we still have Aunt May, who will no doubt still be in financial peril...

And I -still- have a bad feeling about Black Cat, because she is EVERYwhere in the comics right now, and you can bet your bottom dollar they're doing that for a reason, sports-fans...

I mean, where in there are we going to have time for a Venom origin, no matter who plays him. I don't know if I can sit still for a Peter-Jackson-style 3 hour movie, not 3 hours of Pete and MJ arguing about weddings on hilltops.

Something here is not adding up. Much to my relief, Venom is the thing we can most easily leave out of the equation.

I agree with everything you have said Symbiotica, and I don't know what Sam Raimi is thinking by putting all of this stuff into Spider-Man 3, but I'm sure he has a bigger plan behind all of these: (Gwen, GG2/Sandman/possibly Venom, etc.) I think it's a very likely possibility that some of these people (most likely Gwen and Venom if he is in it) will survive and return for later sequels. But I also think it's a big possibility that either Sam willleave after part 3, or the movies will be done once and for all. Now I dson't want to see them stop with just 3 SM movies, but it's unlikely that Tobey, Kirsten, and James (Franco )will return for more sequels, and they are the ones that make these movies so great. I hope everyone including Sam, Tobey, Kirsten, and James, etc. will return for 4, 5, and 6 if they are happening.

Do You think they might base Eddie and Peter's relationship on the ultimate universe a little more, like having there fathers know eachother who helped try to find a cure for cancer, maybe there research will be used when examining the symbiote

If Topher is Eddie just develop there relationship and set Venom up for part 4, I dont think the fans should be that upset if he is not in this movie cause im pretty sure theres gonna be like 3 villians in this one. I would love to see Venom to but the character isnt just Venom its Eddie Brock too

^^^That's great, Super, but that's not what we're getting: the Lizard isn't in this either. Not as the Lizard, anyways, and AFAIK we have heard nothing about Baker being re-cast. I'd have nothing against that if he wre, just saying.

There is an extremely strong possibility this will happen, because Laura Ziskin SAID it would. People are in a lot of denial about it - but that is what she said.

And I ask you in all seriousness: do you really, really think that Gwen has a place anymore? The time-period for her story is long over as it is. GG2 is probably going to throw her off a bridge anyways.... I will be very shocked if that does not happen; Raimi is all about the Simplest Common Denominator. Why on earth would we be looking at her in successive movies?

Actually, that would be great. I'd much rather see that than Cake Girl mooning around, or Bridge-Toss v.2. Are we going to get that? No. But would it be great? It sure would.

K so here is something that i just found out to be interesting. Not sure, i think this may have been mentioned, but for those who didn't hear or dont know.

R.C. Beck was aparently casted in Spider-Man 1 as Eddie Brock. He even had a cameo that they shot. However during editing they took it out. I would really love to see that clip. Oh and he is aparently a photographer as aposed to journalist/reporter. Not sure if i like that better.

Hank Mccoy made an cameo appearence in X-2 but it wasnt Kelsey Grammer so i dont think that means Eddiie Brock has already been cast. They probably wanted to make a cameo i part 1 but they probably knew it would just cause probs down the roud .

We don't need another friend-turned-enemy, we already have that with Harry Osborne/Green Goblin #2.

exactly, peter and brock should just know of each other, no friendship.

I dont think Sandman will be a friend turned villian, in the 616 universe and the Ultimate universe he is a convicted felon, and a badass in both universes. I know its just a pic but the one of him in wizard makes me feel like he'll have a similar persona in the movie like his comicbook counterpart. Maybe project Sandman will have something to do with Venom since many oldschool fans feel like Venom was the 80's Sandman.

Eddie wont just be his friends father (GreenGoblin) or an employee the works for his friend (DocOck) they both take a liking to him there not exactly friends, Harry is the only one who is really his friend who will turn villian. Flint Marko (Sandman) will not be his friend i'll gaurantee you that, and if you've read Ultimate Spider-man the origin of Venom, I personally think that is the best way to get the most out of Eddie, Friends that havent seen eathother since there parents where alive, they didnt get to grow up together. In ultimate spidey Eddie also takes a liking Gwen Stacy.

just don't forget they already made mention to eddie in sm1. he's already working in the daily bugle. so if anything, he's older than peter, so i think just making them know of each other, since they are both photographers for the same paper, is the way to go. in my opinion:D
