I just noticed something, Spiderman2, Harryoscorp and Spidey-Lad93 all post in a similar way...

I think the reason they (Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach) think that Mysterio doesn't work is because they're all crazy...

I never actually said he won't work I want to see him in a movie that's close to his classic look but something that the general audience would take seriously I wanted to see a classic Green Goblin but I can understand why they changed his design

Norman is dead. He's dead. If he wasn't, we would have had some hint to he is alive. We saw Xavier die in X3, after credit scene of X3 and he's alive.

Point is, having back a character that only had one scene in 2 films and make him out to be the big villain is just foolish. It's like if Zsasz became the main villain of Dark Knight because he had a minor role in Begins.

To be fair, just because they did in X3 doesn't mean that they can't in every major motion picture forever.

Sony have shown they don't shirk away from foolish things.

-Eh, I never really cared for Norman. He only really got "top villain" status for killing Gwen Stacy. Personally, I'd love a scene where Oscorp is trying to revive Norman through some ridiculous, overly complicated science only to have Dr. Octopus (having been made new head of Oscorp) smash it all, yelling "Who needs Norman Osbourne when you have Otto Octavious!". So yeah, I really don't care for Norman.

Give me one reason to bring back Norman. You can't use the comics or anything other than this Spider-Man universe as a reason why he should be back.

He is pointless in this universe and they killed him off. He was barely mentioned in the first film, killed off in the second. If he is gonna be the Green Goblin, Harry would not have been the one to organized the Sinister Six and kill Gwen.

Norman is useless in this universe.

I would like to see Scorpion or Shocker. They shouldn't be the main villians but I want to see them in the future movies.

-I know there was a lot of debate about whether it was Mysterio or Chameleon teased in the ASM2 credits. But I just had a thought, what if they're essentially combining the two characters. They're both masters of deception and Chameleon's look is much easier to pull off in live action than Mysterio's.

maybe so but look at say Daft Punk or Halo for ideas. Mysterio can work and he won't look like the original concept.

The dome can still be a feature but modernised Guy Manuel style.

I have a lot of time for Chameleon and I kinda hoped he would have been in one of Raimi's films back in the day.

I seem to be the only one who thinks Kafka actor can be Doc Ock. He seemed to sound just like the classic 90's cartoon Ock and also note his love of classical music.

My best guess is that the doubt of Mysterio working in a film is first of all due to him perhaps not being an "action friendly" villain. I also think the costume doesn't help, even though I think some variation of it (keep the glass helmet!) should work great.

I think Mysterio could work great in action, they'd just have to be more creative with him.

Mysterio certainly can create action for example if we get the version that uses holocubes we could see scenes featuring tidal waves, killer bees, threat of a meteor etc causing wide spread panic by public, cleared out city for an eerie final confrontation. to make Peter and the general public of the city become paranoid or along those lines.

Just ideas.

I think Scorpion could carry a film. Shocker not so much, but he definatly needs to get on to the big screen. I'd love hem to do a Superior Foes movie o TV show, but that will probably never happen. (Avi probably thinks "Shocker is a great villain but wouldn't work on film )

I see her carrying out recruitment and other endeavors while Harry is incarcerated in Ravenscroft.
