Heath's Joker sounded like a cross of Bill the Butcher and Beetleguise towards the end. The laugh really reminded me of Mark Hamill's.

It's brilliant. I would have never guessed it was Heath if I didn't already know. The manic nature of his voice, from Mark Hamillish to Jack Nicholsonish says to me that he will be a truly sick and disturbed bastard. I wonder if Heath modeled his voice after Mark and Jack when he spoke those words. I hope to god that dialog is in the movie. "Some men just want to watch the world burn". Johnathan Nolan has my respect already.

I don't think he's modelling his voice after anyone. People are saying that his voice is reminiscient of Nicholson's Joker voice, but I don't "see" it. Jack Nicholson didn't sound demented if you will. Mark Hamill's voice was quite posh, and very old fashioned. Heath Ledger's voice is just pure crazyness. You can tell that he is mentally disturbed by only listening to his vocals. Absolutely brilliant stuff. I've had faith in Heath Ledger all along.

I know. Producing a fake laugh would require a considerable amount of training. It's not just something that you can do for the hell of it- it's an art. You must practice and develop your vocals. The laugh sounded insanely scary, though. It just defined the word "crazy," and I can't stop saying this.
