I just loved Hersels unlimited supply of shot gun ammo...!

Ya I just kept staring at him wondering when he would run out of ammo. How many bullets do those kind of guns usually take?

:wow:

"Congratulations to everyone associated with AMC's ‘The Walking Dead’ and thank you to the fans for creating, literally, record-setting television,” said Charlie Collier, AMC’s president.

Insane ratings for cable and the demos are awesome! The audience is going to grow over the summer and minds will be blown with what will go on in season three its going to be a giant show with likely 10 million tuning in for the premiere. The thrill ride was missing from TV and TWD is filling the hole and attracting millions to it on Sundays.

This is why HBO canceled Luck. A show about a dying sport with old people versus a zombie horror show. HBO strikes out again.

Overall pockets!

5 to 8 rounds. Herschel had unlimited ammo cheats on so it's cool. :p

"MICHONNE clothed under a hood, she pulled the shackled zombies of her boyfriend and his best friend along by chain to act as a deterrent to the undead..."

Damn, I need to stop coming into this thread. Someone always has to spoil some little detail.

I guess I'll just say that it was a great finale. I can't wait to see Rick's Rictatorship lol.

True. But HBO has Game of Thrones. Which more than makes up for it, in my eyes. :o:up:

So, these two have sense enough to quit? Mmmkay.

Yeah, that makes no sense to me either. Why would the mindless zombies driven only by a carnal urge to feed give up and stop feeding on a living human when it is right in front of them.

Also, why would they keep pushing against the fence or keep trying to reach for Carl and Rick while being on fire.

There is no reason that the zombies would every give up or even have the notion to give up. Giving up would imply higher level function. Which they don't have at all.

I also wondered why they didn't just move them all over with their cars given that the zombies are as fragile as eggs. Given how they are able to smash their heads in or tear them apart so easily.

Carl really needs to man up by season three. If he keeps *****ing about every move Rick makes or crying about Shane like he did last night, I really hope Rick gets the nerve to beat some sense into him. Lori too, for that matter. :o

Shane spent two whole seasons second-guessing and griping about every single thing Rick did. He doesn't need that stuff from his ***** of a wife or his smartmouth kid.

Getting Carol/Maggie/Glenn(?) to keep their mouths shut.... well that's up to Daryl and Herschel.

I've seen several comments wondering why they didn't just run them over with their vehicles. It seemed to me that they were when they could, but really a car could only plow through 1-2, maybe 3 walkers at a time. Once you get a group of 5-10 that car is no longer going to be able to maintain forward progress. They are zombies and while they are fragile, they are not tissue-paper thin.

It's a silly risk. I've seen cars totaled from hitting deer. Just starting to plow over walkers is going to take its toll on the vehicle too. If the car is damaged and broken down, especially in the middle of a zombie horde, then what are you left with?

HBO still has Game of Thrones & True Blood which both bring in outstanding ratings for a PREMIUM cable channel. I don't think they're too upset. lol

Well if it happens somehow (like the comics) Carl will man-up massively in all of s4 (Ben & the Meat arc...)

It's a show based on a comic series that is already out. That's like me going onto the Spider-Man boards saying how a criminal is going to kill Uncle Ben. The show is obviously different than the books so as long as people aren't spoiling the show then already out comic spoilers are fair game IMO. I know Shane died at some point so it's not like that is a spoiler compared to someone posting screen caps of zombie Shane from an unaired ep.

Plus...we all really should read the comic. I plan on it before next season starts up.

I think she's deflecting alot of her own guilt onto Rick. She's the reason Shane tried to take Rick out. She knows she's the reason. It's just easier for her to be pissed at Rick, who actually took care of business himself, than to deal with the fact that this all really comes down to her.

Sawyer - the voice of reason!

Initially, I didn't get Lori's reaction myself, but the producers on Talking Dead pretty much said what Sawyer says in this post. And add to it:

Think Lori pretty much realizes that by talking to Shane out by the windmill it's what set him off to think he could take out Rick. Think she's also a little taken back that Rick killed him, and her 12 year old little boy finished off his walking corpse.

..it pretty much makes sense.

And as for Carl..... come on, guys. If any of your fathers blurted out that he had killed his best friend, who was really like a second father to you, as well as probably being a pretty good guy before the world ended, I think we'd all be pretty upset by that. It doesn't mean he loved Shane more. It just means that it's upsetting.

That's exactly how I saw it.

Btw, what grinds my gears is when Lori freaks out over Carl missing and demands everyone to stop what they are doing and look for her son while zombies are parading the farm compound

Ha! That's funny, because when she started freaking about Carl when the zombies came, I said, "Oh, NOW you're wondering where your kid is?"

...or when Carl is freaking out over his mother and wanting them to go back to find her.

...and then you lost me. Yeah, what an unrealistic reaction for a little boy. :whatever:

But as counter programming it fell flat and then caught on fire and sank to the bottom of the ocean.

As a premium channel they need content that requires you to renew or subscribe. Having two shows that cover almost half the year is okay but certainly not great. Boardwalk Empire does its thing and earns Emmy nods but it will never reach the heights of True Blood's ratings.

I enjoy GoT and True Blood does very well but it looks to have peaked. We just got HBO Canada for the next 22 weeks for GoT and True Blood's run but after that, it will be off the cable bill at the end of September.

HBO does have many fantasy/sci-fi shows in development so maybe they'll bounce back in 2014. Good luck to them airing something against TWD which already does better than anything on network TV on Sunday nights.

Who cares? This will peak and go downhill as well...like every popular show.

To the group, Shane just seemed like kind of an *******. The only other one who knew he had lost it was really Dale. Last the group saw of Shane he was a bloody mess claiming Randall knocked him out. No one else really knows what went down in the field, just that Shane's no longer alive and Rick is the reason.

Before Rick's revelation of killing him though, Daryl seems to know sort of what went down with Shane and doesn't seem at all pissed about it.

People forget, we as the audience see more than the characters. And remember, some like Andrea & T-Dog were siding with Shane. Part of Rick's leadership style that (most) seemed attracted to was more easy going and compassionate. This was a very different side of Rick. I was even taken a little aback by it. Rick actually came out and admitted to killing one of their group. I mean what if the reverse, and Shane killed Rick and admitted to the group in the same way and manner? I understood the group's reaction.
