Have you been watching the show? They're all infected already.

Um yeah I've been watching the show. The fact that they're all infected doesn't mean they're going to die sooner though. It just means that whenever they do die, from old age for example, they will turn into a zombie. It doesn't mean they have some kind of time limit before they turn.

Great episode....

The only things I didn't like was the lack of exposition for it took them so long to find the prison. Yes, I got that T-Dogg mentioned they doubled around in circles, but I felt like they could have given us more.

Other than that...I really had no complaints. I truly liked the first 5 minutes of silence during the episode and Rick's reluctance to eat dog food. It showed me Rick is still clinging to some semblance of humanity...which I liked. Though, if it was me and I was starving...I may have mixed the dog food with the owl and had a feast....lol

I didn't say they'd die sooner. They're infected with the virus that reanimates the dead. When they are bitten, they die from the bite.

Have you seen anyone on screen turn from just a bite? Jim is the only character I can think of that was bitten by a walker and wasn't killed. They left him on the side of the road and we never witnessed him turning.

Sorry but I guess I'm just thinking with the zombie movie mindset since that's what I'm used to. I just need to remember this show plays by it's own rules.

I recently rewatched all the seasons on Netflix and Jenner mentioned in season one that the virus could react in as little as 3 minutes or 8 hours. There is no precedence for how this virus can take place in the human body. At this point, after re-watching season one I'd like to see more scientists working on a cure. I'd like to see more insight into the virus itself. It still sort of bothers me that Shane got up after being shot in about 10 minutes, but it took Randall more hours to reanimate? It also bothers me that none of the group have thought about this either.

Nah. Horror is about the unknown. And Glen Mazzara has said in the past he has no interest in writing about it (and it's not explained in the comics).

I know this, but I think for the TV show, which has differentiated itself in a quite a few ways.... Looking for a cure should not be forgotten. I don't plan on watching this forever and I want them to find a way to deal with the epidemic on a whole.

So are Carol and Daryl official now? I'm not sure if I heard right but it sounded like Carol asked him if he wanted to "mess around" and then they went off together.

Naw, I think Carol wants some Daryl, but Daryl wants none of that old azz.

I think this may be the beginning of Carol's demise....

Add up season premiere ratings for MAD MEN, BREAKING BAD, KILLING, HELL ON WHEELS…and combined, they're < Walking Dead.
Oh ****, son...

She's only like three years older than him...

But even before the plagaue she was worn out. I'm recalling how she was in season one and the fact Daryl probably saw that.

She probably doesn't appeal to him for a lot of different reasons, but I thought it was obvious that he's been rebuffing her for a while.

well it was probably the best episode to date

It's not like that was the hardest thing to do, especially after last season. But I will give them that they finally at least seem to be getting back to what made the show interesting in the first place, which is intense zombie action and seeing people try to survive in a world gone mad, and not standing around *****ing and moaning like a bunch of babies as they did most of last season. As one site put it as the title of their show recap, "Less Talk, More Chop."

I don't like the idea that this show can only be good if there's alot of zombie kills. There's great drama to be had here between the characters.... it's just that S2 absolutely failed in that regard. It wasn't great drama, it was just a whole lot of whining.

This sums up how I feel about the whole thing. S1 wasn't entirely action packed. S2 was just a let down because of how much boo-hooing was going on. It was exhausting.

This was such a great opener. You can tell they are righting the wrongs of the last season and just going full steam ahead and delivering. This show is only gonna get more popular as time goes on, especially what's about to happen.

I was thrilled to see the inmates at the end, as I was hoping when we saw those dead zombies it was because of them. I sure as hell hope one of them is Axel.

The one that said "Holy ****" is Axel.

Which is funny, because that guy is probably about half Comics Axel's size. :hehe:

The guy who said "Holy Sh**" was Axel. :woot:

Here's the other 4, You follow me?:

http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/10/14/the-walking-dead-meet-the-spoiler-glen-mazzara/

Tomas (played by Nick Gomez)
“Tomas is the leader. Tomas is the alpha male. He’s the one who is in charge and he is the one who has set the rules and he did before the apocalypse, he’s been doing that since, and suddenly, here’s Rick telling him, ‘This isn’t even your prison any more.’ Tomas is not going to stand for that.”

Andrew (played by Markice Moore)
“Andrew is really Tomas’ right hand man. These guys are really the ones who have been intimidating Axel and Oscar.”

Axel (played by Lew Temple)
“Axel is a great character. He’s someone who was probably a two-bit criminal who finds himself in a bigger mess. He’s probably happy to be freed by Rick because he realizes he’s not as cutthroat as Tomas and Andrew.”

Oscar (played by Vincent Ward)
“Oscar is another guy who has had to go along with Tomas’ rule.”

Big Tiny (played by Theodus Crane)
“Big Tiny is the muscle of the group. The idea was that all of these guys together are a formidable force. These are hardened convicts who have survived living together for almost a year, almost in the same way that Rick and his group have. So this is a surprising force for Rick to come up against. And they are formidable. And they are scary. And they are dangerous. Just as dangerous as Rick’s group.”
