When they were exploring the prison in the comic, it was Dale who got bit and had to have his leg cut off. He survived and was pretty much ok, no infection.

I'll let it slide then since this is based on a comic.

For those who didn't get to see it, they have the season premiere on AMCtv.com steaming.

lol exactly.

Though, to be fair, the first person they tried it on died anyways. The second time (Dale) was when it worked. Not sure which way they'll go with Herschel.

Here's some of the side by sides from last night's episode and the comic.

Nope. Why? Do they come up with some explanation for that?

We don't know if it worked in Day of the Dead because we never had time to see if Miguel would have got sick over time and died. He killed himself not too long after.

Realistically , once you get bit, the disease or germ is already running through your blood stream at too fast of a rate to do anything about it.

I know this is a fictitious show but I felt it was a dumb move on their part. Now they have to lug Hershel around until he dies.

I guess we just dont know..and I wouldnt e offended either way. I do know that typically in the case of some venom and some bites that spread other contaminants like bacteria (komodo dragon) you do have some time to control the spread via some methods.

Are they actually going to be pulling through with a carl beth relationship? Because the girl playing beth looks about 10 years older than carl (i actually heard the actress is 28).

At least the girl playing sophia looked more in the same age range.

I dunno but the character on the show is supposed to be 16. http://walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/Beth_Greene

So technically on the show, she's 3 years older than Carl.

[BLACKOUT]Totally laughed when Carl attempted to get his swag on by picking the cell with beth and then Herschel came walking in asking him if he found his cell yet, haha.[/BLACKOUT]

I doubt they will have anything develop between the two. But That is also why they should have kept Sophia around or at least introduce the twins (think they were twins) and have the girl survive.

Which also reminds me...
I wonder since the only Greene family members left are Beth and Maggie that the one serial killer prisoner will brutally kill Beth. :csad:

Yeah that's the problem with last season as well. Carl is so isolated in that no one is really in his age group. In the comcs at least there were a few kids the twins and of course sophia.

It will just look silly having carl try to put anymore moves on beth (or her falling for them), as she looks way more mature than him despite the show's supposed age difference.

yeah, that WAS pretty slick of Carl to try that... I would have done the same if I were in his shoes... :woot:

It is funny that Beth actually looks more like Comics Sophia than TV Sophia did...

I think they'll just spin into a school-boy crush to give something for carl to do (or not do, i guess haha)

it was nice to see him [BLACKOUT]not pussyfoot around and just shoot the walker instead of teasing it like the last time we saw him encounter one.[/BLACKOUT]

I can't see Carol going down the same road as she did in the comics. She already seems far too mentally stable. If comics Carol had lost Sophia, she would've tossed herself to the walkers in five seconds flat.

So I just working on assumptions here, I'm gonna guess that when the time comes Rick, Daryl and Glenn will head to Woodbury.

I think here Daryl will get the Rick treatment
and get his hand cut off, but not by the Governor instead by Merle as vengeance for leaving him behind.

On a side note, man did Maggie get even hotter? :o

It'd make more sense for that to happen to [blackout]T-Dog[/blackout]. In [blackout]Merle's[/blackout] mind, he would be the one that is most responsible.

I mentioned this earlier but i just hate the way guns are depicted on the show. I mean the lack of recoil reaction by the actors and the pretty fake looking digital flash added in.

For a show as popular as it is some of the action stuff can come off as pretty amateur/low-budget.

It would, but I think [blackout]Merle would be pis**d at his brother more for leaving him, blood is thicker than water and all that.[/blackout] [blackout]Merle[/blackout] seems more like the guy who would be an eye for an eye.

I also would assume, if they are going to apply certain comic things to different characters as seen with Hershel this episode T-Dog is the most likely candidate for [blackout]getting his head whacked off.[/blackout]

@ Bruce Malone: Flash light suppressors. Ha. Besides that, the premiere was nutso.

Have you been watching the show? They're all infected already.
