Great trailer. If they are gonna follow the comic, they aren't giving away much. Of all the pure insanity that is about to unfold. The trailer looks just more pumped up from last season with a new edge given. Which is great for regular audiences and it satisfies someone like myself. But stuff like the Governor and Woodbury seem to be more subdued and ambiguous which I love. Perhaps earlier in the season, we won't know for sure the Governor can be trusted and we'll eventually develop to trust him. Then be revealed as a complete monster that will truly shock people. So basically a more drawn out arc that was in the comics, which I've always wanted anyway.

That trailer was amazing, love that they kept most things in the comic on the show.... though It looks like
the folks that were already living in the prison isn't there, sad. :csad:

I'm pretty sure they are there. Did you not notice the part where they're at a door with handcuffs on the handle? The door opens, they're in and you hear Daryl go "who are you?". If you look behind Daryl, it totally looks like some type of mess hall.

Well...I guess

Beth or whoever she is bites the dust. Kirkman says someone dies very early on in the season and he shed a tear, and she doens't appear to be in the trailer much other than the beginning.

I get the impression it's Hershel

Fixed and everyone please check your youtube link before posting. The majority of the people on this board don't check it.

You can tell the kid actor playing carl is already starting that fast age process that most kids get into at that age.

At his rate it looks like he'll have a teen stache by season end. It's gonna be hard to keep the character on par with his comic counterpart due to real world aging.

Yeah, and I'm sure they have more planned for this series beyond Season 3. Maybe we'll get an episode about Carl hitting puberty.

Judging by the trailer, The Governor storyline seems to be very influenced by "The Stand".

The show has found its Randall Flagg. :)

As for somebody dying early on for some reason I get the impression it may be Carol. Dunno why

Or one of Hershel's kids. I don't think it will be anyone major.

But if it's T-Dog I will seriously shed a tear.

I don't want T-Dog to die for one big reason: I want Michonne's story to be mostly intact.

If the show kills T-Dog and goes through with all that stuff with Michonne, they might as well invite Al Sharpton to launch an attack on them. :o

****, he might just do that anyway...

I dunno, if they actually used T-Dog in the central storyline and give him some lines then yeah, keep him alive but if not, then I hope he doesn't make it past episode 1. :o

T-Dog in a nutshell:

Jokes aside I actually really like T-Dog. I just really hope the writers gave him more to do along with giving him some substantial dialogue that doesn't consist of just "Ah hell naw".

Does anyone think that, given how quickly the storyline is bound to go, [blackout]Lori might get killed while she's still pregnant, instead of getting blown away by a shotgun and crushing her baby to death (if the baby even survived Lori being shot, that is)[/blackout]? I mean, I'm all for epic brutality on this show, but that **** would just be distressing..... I'd feel sick watching that in live action. At least [blackout]if she was still pregnant[/blackout] at the time, it'd be somewhat less sickening.

For some reason I think they may not kill Lori this season. I think that it will be one of those changed aspects that will gain criticisms from the fans.

Well, from what Mazzara has said, the prison/Governor storyline may be a two-season thing, so I'm more talking end of season 4.

But I think it has to be done. It's just too pivotal. [blackout]Her death in the comics weighs on him more than even Shane's, and given how prominent they're making that fallout in the series, I can't concieve of them passing that up.[/blackout]

They might do that at a later time and I don't think it's in this season. As Sawyer said, the prison will take up two seasons.

I can see them splitting the difference[BLACKOUT] and having Lori die but the baby is saved, and they add baby zombie survival to the show, since it looks like Carl is growing so fast, they may still want to keep a young child on the show, unlikely but I could see it happening.[/BLACKOUT]

I've enjoyed reading the comic book more than watching the show.
I love the show, but the comic is great.
I bought the Compendium and finished it, but it was so far ahead of the TV show I decided to wait til I continue reading anymore comics.

I think it's good that the decision was made to not follow the comic exactly. It makes the show more exciting and also with the addition and exclusion of characters, there's enough to keep the plot fresh.
Saying that, I wonder if the Governor will be as vile as in the comic.
From the preview, season 3 looks like being a classic.

I needs moar footage! :argh:
