looks like Richard Dreyfuss sitting with Nicotero on the Talking Dead couch, Sharks vs. Walkers

Well, Talking Dead got the Carter situation correct.

better not be the priest doing the horn, Rick will so kill him

I hope Rick BBQs him if it's really him. :argh: I think it's the Wolves though.

Next week's looks scary. I'm a sucker for a home invasion-ish type of plot. Was that Tara at the end of the preview all bloody and crying?

So I really liked the episode. Seems that the next few episodes will be adapting the 'No Way Out' arc from the comics. Also, can I say how much I admire Glenn? It really says a lot about his character that he was able to forgive Nicholas like he did. I can relate; no need for petty drama ******** in the apocalypse.

I don't know where to start, but I dug the premiere. A lot happened. And believe we're just getting warmed up for what's to come.

Enid. Speaking of her I wonder if she honked the horn. Talking Dead had a clip of next weeks ep. showing her hiding in an empty car.

i don't think a car horn would have been heard at that distance, not as loud as they showed in the show I think. Probably more like a warning for a town when a tornado is coming? Who knows.

I wonder if next weeks episode will mostly be all about what craziness was going on back in Alexandria while Rick and them were on the Walker parade. Right up til we see the horn/alarm go off

Yeah my gut's telling me it's the Wolves, but after that clip on TD it had me wondering and questioning if it was Enid.

Also how come there aren't separate threads for season 6 episodes discussions?

I can't express how glad I am that this show is back. It gives Sunday nights an important feeling and I really liked what they're setting up this season.

Ugh, I wish I could be part of an actually viewing party, but my ass works every Sunday. I'd also love a drinking game.

Hell yeah Sunday's aren't the same without TWD or GOT for me.

A drinking game would be great. Wish I could do viewing parties too.

Well I just finished watching the premiere of The Walking Dead season 6, corralling that zombie parade was pretty cool. Rick and Morgan was nice to see, everything about this episode was neat. I take it that horn sounding off at the end was the Wolves? Or maybe it T-1000 chasing John Connor.

Ended up staying up really late to watch an "encore" on AMC.

Worth it. Really enjoyed the episode. Things are hitting the fan FAST.

^One of my favorite parts of the episode. Rick saying what all of us were thinking ... :)

Also, I'm on the fence about the use of black & white in this episode. I mean, it's obvious why they did it, but it's pretty obvious to me that it was done in post-production. Black and white only looks good if you film it that way, in my opinion.

I'm hoping that the black and white stuff isn't a stylistic thing that happens throughout the season. It's fine for one episode; it doesn't need to happen again.

B&W was necessary to differentiate the flashbacks from present or else none of us would know what the f*** was happening.

I'm more inclined to say the jumping back and forth in time was the unnecessary thing. I think the episode would've been fine linear.

Oh yeah, I agree with everything you said about the storytelling ... I just wish those parts had actually been filmed in b&w instead of done in post-production. I find that b&w done in post is a bit unpleasant to look at, which gets a tad distracting. I get it-- the show has a budget and everything (so it's cheaper to do b&w in post), but it is what it is to me. I wasn't really a fan of how the black and white looked.

I'm cool with this happening for one episode; I just hope that non-linear storytelling like this doesn't happen throughout the season.

Other than that, though, I really enjoyed the episode.

I liked the flashback style, kept it interesting. Otherwise the show wouldve started off really slow.

Perfect draw-in episode. Can't wait for more.

That black and white..to color was great

Loved the banter between michonne and Morgan..lol

No u can't help.Gabriel...u p.o.s

I think the B&W was a one time thing. TWD has always liked to do experimental one-shot type episodes.
