So, will we see the renovated Wayne Mansion or will Bruce be in his penthouse in this movie?
Well in Begins Bruce said they would rebuild the mansion exactly like it was, so I don't see why reusing the old location would be a bad thing.Well I know they won't be stupid enough to use the same Mansion as they did in Batman Begins. I hope their not as stupid, but knowing Christopher Nolan, they probably won't. Probably.

Exactly. I dont get why some people in this thread think that Bruce will build a different manor. He specifically said that he'd rebuilt it brick for brick.Well in Begins Bruce said they would rebuild the mansion exactly like it was, so I don't see why reusing the old location would be a bad thing.
It's not that it would be stupid, it just would be weird that it will look excactly the same, there would have to be atleast some changes, not the whole mansion. The should maybe add to the floor plans so it would acomidate more "secrets." Don't get me wrong I loved the mansion in BB, it's just un realistic that it will be EXCATLY the same. What would be so stupid about that? At the end of Batman Begins Bruce says he'll rebuild it "just the way it was, brick for brick". The only change here will be a new batcave, which I can't wait to see!

it's a movie...nothing is realt:
I have to say, I have a soft spot for the penthouse set up as it's like the first Bat-books i grew up reading in the late 70s and early 80s, so I'm not sure what I'd prefer.
I'm also not sure what way Nolan will go, it will depend on the story of course, whatever suits him. If the penthouse suits the needs of the story, I think he will keep it and maybe move Bruce back into the mansion at the end of the movie, to tie up that loose end and show that Bats/Bruce is settled into the life for good with no temp set ups.
This thread needs a poll to see what folk would prefer, mansion would win no doubt, but I'd be curious as to how many liked the penthouse/undeground bunker set up.
Then again, as has been said, the attraction of doing a full on batcave actaully in a cave, with all the aesthetic goodness of bats and puddles, may swing Nolan in that direction.
I'm pretty sure Bruce just kept the bat-suit in a secret room in his penthouse that night because he knew he'd be there and Joker made his threat and such. He didn't have two suits or a teleportation device to get him to the bunker. When Alfred goes to take Bruce breakfast and finds he's not there he has to drive to the bunker. However when the Joker crashes Bruce's party, Bruce goes into that secret room and you have to assume it somehow led to the underground bunker/batcave because he reemerges minutes later in full-batman attire. Those two sequences always confused me unless there were 2 suits and one was kept at the penthouse.
