The Wes Bently/Blackheart Thread

Hope you don't mind, Webhead, but I had a little play around with your pic. Blackheart's got such a good look, I think they could do something pretty close to how he looks in the comics without it seeming silly.

Reminds me of The Keep actually!

I like what you did there. Good job.:)

$5 says they don't have the spikes and he's just a shadowy man with red eyes

Ow, that could happen. I hope they don't do that.

I don't want to see that either but that's probaly how it's gonna be.

This film is looking cooler and cooler.Sorry,I couldn't find any other thread to put this in.Discuss, enjoy!

Looking at the "thematic" appearances of the characters, one could imagine that Abigor is a demon representing a more "feral," hunter aspect. The fur trim, the dreads...all look very leonine. I'm sure that MSJ and company will take artistic license with the facets of a demon in order to make the film more exciting.

Yes, I'm sure we have no worries that.

You're probably right about Abigor but, it all depends again on how MSJ takes the lore of that demon. The information online leads to many options really and where it's not a Marvel character (that I know of) he has no preconsieved notions on where to take him.

Either way, I'm sure we wont be dissapointed.

is it possible to focus on Abigor's left hand and define his fingers more? i was just looking, and i am not saying my eyes sight is all that great, but does Abigor have claws?
if anyone could zoom in and outline the hand so we can tell, maybe that would add to the Animalistic notion of what kind of demon he is......

Yup, it sure does look like claws. Reminds me of Sabretooth a little.

This demon is definatly the animal of the pack, so it seems. This pic is quite feral as well...

I'm really anxious to see all these guys in their demon form... however, I think I'd rather wait until actually seeing the movie to see those forms. There's some things that we need to have as surprises eh? Having said that, I wouldn't complain if a few shots of them demonized were in a trailer or something.

y'know...they might go the opposite route of revealing the demons in the trailer. its possible they will show GR in his full glory in the trailer while not showing the villain demons true forms until you go see the movie. would be a nice little "bonus" for people who expected GR to fight just ordinary looking dudes when suddenly they change into their true appearance.
the look of GR will obviously will have to be the major selling point of the movie (other than Cage being in the lead) so it would make sense for them to capitalize on that as much as possible.

also those "claws" on Abigor look more like leather gloves w/ the fingers removed. but i do agree it gives it a claw like appearance and possible gives more hints to his real look

I 100% agree w/ FlameHead on this one. We all know what Blackheart looks like (I can't remember what Wallow looks like to save my life), but there's still the "money shot" aspect of finally seeing him live and onscreen.

If they want to show a "transformation" snippet in the trailer, that would be cooler than a full-bore creature shot. Save me some cool bits for my 9.50, thank you very much!

I 110% agree with both of u, but I think they should end the preview with Blackheart walking across a room while shadows are being pulled onto him then throw on the title.

maybe through the whole trailer we see glimpses of Ghost Rider's skull/flames, very quick glimpses..then, at the end of the trailer, there is a slight pause of black with a voice-over saying " Face Me Rider!", and then it cuts to the Back of GR's head as he is turning it around and we get the money shot of his face as he looks up, then a quick cut to a wide shot like 10ft behind GR as he is watching the shadows all come together in front of him, with a pair of red eyes in the center..........if i got something like that, i think i would die a happy man....

If you died you wouldn't get to see the movie.

well, if i died, i would probably be going to hell, and you know the movie will have a special screening down there. lol

Nah I been there(after all I am the Son of Satan) they only show stuff after it gets on video :down

Wallow (the wet-looking gentleman) was originally in the comics, IIRC. Abigor (dreadlocks) is made for the movie.

As for pics, I'm having a helluva time trying to find ANYTHING for Wallow.

Anyone?

Well Abigor isn't made up but he isn't from the comics.

Wallow isnt either...just his name is taken from the comics.
here is some info from the online GR encyclopedia:

http://www.geocities.com/Area51/8713/ghost14.html

"Wallow is a creature that thrives on human misery, and causes them to commit suicide. Once he was a man who accidentally killed his wife. Not being able to live with himself he tried to kill his kids and himself, but only succeeded in killing himself. Now Wallow works for Blackheart as a spirit of vengeance."

in the comics Wallow was composed of a watery, black fluid w/ a doll's face attached to where Wallow's own face should be.
i doubt that will be his true shape in the movie though...

A quick google image search of Abigor gave me this pic.

It's not from the comics but I guess this is the regular demon.
