Actually, that could work as a way to wipe away the whole event. It never happened. The Skrull made it up. Maybe Osborne's a Skrull too. He just shows up outta nowhere having been dead for years. I mean, if we're talking massive stupid retcons here, like sudden healing factors and underground in England for years, then Norman, the twins, and MJ being Skrulls on a mission to keep Spidey's life in the s**ter ain't that far outside of the realm of possibility.

Think about it, if one of the Illuminati didn't make it back from that original adventure agains the Skrulls, then this whole things been going down since the end of the Kree/Skrull war. This truely is Marvel's Emoboy Punch. Or at least it could be.
