I was expecting Seth Rogen to be the one that no one liked. Lol.
Oddly I can see him pulling it off.
I think Seth Rogan could make a GREAT Ben Grimm. He's got the self-effacing sense of humor. He may be Canadian, but I think he could convince people he's a tough Jewish guy from Brooklyn. And he's physically big enough - he'd just need to lose a few pounds and hit the weights to look more like a football player.
He may not fit an obvious mold, but I think he could do it.
He's got the voice for it too
Hell yeah! If Chris Pratt could make it happen
I've always thought Mark Strong could be a good Doom, he's a good actor and a voice that would sound good in the mask.
I dunno about Rogen...I mean, I like him and all, but even now that he's in shape, he still strikes me as more of a laid-back "dude" type than a burly New Yawker. Doesn't really have the aggressiveness for that kind of persona. Maybe he could pull it off, but it would be against type to say the least.
He does have the jaw for it, though.
My ideal MCU Fantastic Four cast:
Mr. Fantastic- Billy Crudup
Invisible Woman- Rachel McAdams
Human Torch- Zac Efron
The Thing- Kiefer Sutherland
Dr. Doom- Clive Owen
Even when reading comics Cumberbatch's voice is what I hear when Doom speaks.
Ryan Gosling as Human Torch.
When watching Royal Pains one day my brother suggested the actor Ben Shenkman for Reed Richards. And I think he would be a great Reed!
He's a bit tall but thats not a big issue.
I like Daniel Radcliff as Reed. He's not to much younger then Teller, maybe a year or two.
Mr. Fantastic - John Krasinski
Invisible Woman - Anna Torv
Human Torch - Cameron Monaghan
The Thing - Seann William Scott (yes, for Thing and not Torch)
Dr. Doom - Matthias Schoenaerts
I cant think of who to cast if they were teenagers, but if I had my way
Hugh Dancy (Hannibal) or Patrick Wilson (Watchmen/Little Children) as Reed Richards
Jessica Chastain (Interstellar/Zero Dark Thirty) as Sue Storm
Bobby Cannavale (Boardwalk Empire)or Jon Bernthal (Fury/The Walking Dead) as Ben Grimm
Zac Efron (Neighbors) as Johnny Storm
EDIT: Updated cast list:
Hugh Dancy - Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic
Alice Eve - Sue Storm / Invisible Woman
Zac Efron - Johnny Storm / Human Torch
Joel Edgerton - Ben Grimm / The Thing
Eddie Marsan - Harvey Elder / Mole Man
Richard Armitage - Victor Von Doom / Doctor Doom
Karine Vanasse - Alicia Masters
Scott Adsit - H.E.R.B.I.E.
Gerald McRaney - Wille Lumpkin
Tyler Hoechlin - Namor The Submariner
Such a bummer that Ive seen so many good choices on here and just around but we're not getting them
Everyone seems to love Zac Efron as the Human Torch!
He's proved he's actually a pretty great actor in his last few roles, and he'd fit the character perfectly
Reed: George Clooney
Sue: Charlize Theron
Johnny: Ryan Gosling
Ben: Karl Urban
Doom: Mads Mikkelsen
Joshua Jackson - Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic
Joel Edgerton - Victor Von Doom/Dr. Doom
Sienna Miller - Susan Storm/Invisible Woman
Sam Claflin - Johnny Storm/Human Torch
Matt Damon - Ben Grimm/The Thing
Heh. Reminds me of high school. Back then I fancasted Damon as Johnny.
By far the best actor I've heard mentioned to be cast as Reed Richards to me was Greg Kinear... my brother said it in the early 2000's. If Marvel got the rights back Id love it he'd be cool to see opposite Robert Downey Jr as Tony. Everytime I see him now I think of Mr Fantastic
Patrick Wilson is also a great choice.
Mark Wahlberg, Joel Edgerton or Matt Damon as The Thing would both be alright to me, Wahlberg plays tough guy better.
Efron as Human Torch would be a good fit or if he went against his usual type cast I think Michael Cera would be okay too he can play cocky well at times. Im pretty bad with younger actors though..
as for Sue Storm Im really not too sure Kristen Bell or Naomi Watts lol
I think Colin Hanks & Michelle Williams would both be great. Not Charlie for Doom though... I think his acting stinks.
Alexis Denisof would be the perfect Reed Richards.
Huh, you know what? I could totally see it, at least if your going for an older Reed.
*resists urge to suggest Sue be played by Amy Acker with hair dye*
