The Wii U

I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a price drop to $250 near the end of this year or early next year, so maybe you could get a refub for around 200ish. I mean, honestly, there's like no point at looking into a Wii U if that's your entry price point for at least another year or more (especially if you want to buy new). Maybe for the 3DS that price is somewhat realistic now for a Black Friday deal or clearance sale or something along those lines.

I mean, I guess you could always get lucky with craigslist or something with someone who wants to unload their stuff for whatever reason.

to clarify, I meant < $150 for a new Wii U after applying trade in credit, gift cards, reward coupons, etc.

sorry, I should have specified that.

yeah. I'd be extremely suspicious of anyone offering a new Wii U for $150 at this time......lol.

Oh, a major Nintendo title got delayed? Never would have guessed. :o

It's a suicidal move. If Nintendo is gonna have a console that does not have the 3rd party support then you gotta step up in a big bad way with 1st party titles. The 3DS is getting amazing titles every month and the Wii U is getting decent, but not system selling titles like Kirby and Mario Party 10. Fine games, but not system sellers. I defend Nintendo till the cows come home and they'll always be my favorite video game makers but delaying this until next year is so immensely stupid.

They gotta push Star Fox hard now. They gotta get a release date for Yoshi's Wooly World and Mario Maker. We need a better release window for Xenoblade Chronicles X. I don't think a few announcements at E3 are gonna save them either. Nintendo excels at announcements, but fails at releasing games.

I totally forgot about Mario Maker. I can't wait to play that game. It's going to be so awesome!

I think Nintendo has given up on the Wii U. But we'll see. If Star Fox gets delayed, then yeah... ****.

They gotta have something major up their sleeves for a holiday release. As amazing as Captain Toad was it wasn't a Super Mario 3D World level game. At least they had Smash, but there's no new Smash or Mario Kart on the horizon. Zelda Wii U was their big game this year.

Were I Nintendo, I would do a lot of things, but the most obvious thing to do would be a 64 Zelda collection of the new 3DS games for the Wii U.

That would sell like crazy. The Wii U has two screens by default, it's amazing to me that they have not ported 3DS games.

Even release a Mario Sunshine remake to pad the game release drought the Wii U is heading into. We have Splatoon in May and....that's it. Right? No other release dates have been said.

I'm not even excited for Splatoon. It's all good. I still play MK8 and Smash pretty regularly. And once Mario Maker comes out, I'll be good for quite awhile.

Overall, I'm not shocked. I was expecting it to happen. I rather they delay it and make it nearly flawless like they always do, then pull a 343.

I still play MK8 daily. Smash not as much, mostly weekends with friends. As a fan I'm glad Nintendo is taking the time to make Zelda Wii U as good as possible, but it's really dumb from a business perspective.

so Zelda got delayed and won't even be shown at this year's E3??

man!! that's such disappointing news.

Zelda being a 2015 title was a major reason why I was starting to consider getting a Wii U.

Now, that reason is gone.

With a possible new home console coming out in a few years with NX, and Zelda being delayed beyond 2015, that doesn't bode well for the Wii U, imo.

if they're delaying and withholding the game to "do more" with it, then it could very well turn into a FF Versus situation where the game gets moved to the newer console to better realize the vision.

So, I wouldn't be surprised if Zelda turns out to be a launch title for NX.

and if it does come out in 2016 instead, then it could very well be the "swan song" game for the Wii U.

I think may some of you misread the news as "Nintendo blows up all Wii Us" as opposed to Zelda delayed. Sheehs

What, where did you hear it wouldn't be at E3

People are looking way too much into the NX comments. Soonest we see that console is 2018. No way in holy hell Nintendo delays Zelda until then. No way.

If it's a home console, if. But I think 2017 is fairly plausible if it's a home console. I could see next year for a handheld

I wonder why they wouldn't show something at E3. I'm sure they have enough material by now to put on a show. Unless they decided to go in a new direction.

I could see them making a port for the next console. Hopefully they learned that lesson.

Well, at least there's still Star Fox. God willing.

They probably aren't showing at E3 to give the spotlight to the rest of the games they're *supposed* to release this year.

I got my Wii U about a month ago and they did not come with physical games FYI, Super Mario 3D World and Nintendo Land were pre-installed. The box will say so if it is.
