Apparently tweeted out by a female porn actress of all people but... Wisdom knows no bias.

Don't know the top quote's origin but the response on the bottom is priceless.

My dad taught me this every day of his life.

A good point... Though I can't help but wonder if the world is the way it is because not enough ****ing morons were told that they are just that, ****ing morons... But I digress.

He was a fool and a failure as the POTUS but he was right in saying this...

A view from Business Insider about how and and why we make the judgments we often do.

No better place for this than right here. We all need to think about the limits of what we believe in... Even the belief on limits themselves.

As always, as experience has shown me... The truth probably falls in the middle somewhere.

Here is a quote from the creator of the beloved CALVIN AND HOBBES, Bill Watterson, about following your passion. After, a video by that down to Earth tribune of the working men and women of America, Mike Rowe, about kinda doing the opposite. As always, your mileage may vary.

Thanks for that last one Krypton.

I often think the only truly decent and successful thing I have done with my life is raising my daughter.

She may not agree with that assesment of course! :cwink:

Yeah... Unfortunately brother, it's the eternal pain of parents everywhere that too often we don't appreciate what our family does for us, especially mom and dad.

But they come around. My brother was the REALLY rebellious one. Older than me. Was a teenager in the 80's. NYC in the 80's mind you. All he wanted was to be a badass on the streets and have his freedom from mom and dad. Eventually he left home at around 15. Now my father... He was understanding. He was born in Puerto Rico and quite poor as a dirt farmer and in his experience... Dudes did that all the time (It really was a different world decades ago) in his expereince on the island. But my mother was very hurt and on that level my father was upset with my brother.

A few years pass and eventually there is a reunion. My brother vigorously apologizes to my mother.

"I'm sorry mom... I just thought it would be so easy on my own. I didn't know how hard it was out there."

Hard knock lesson that he was prepared to learn because of how mom and dad had raised him, even if he didn't realize it at the time. Now my brother has a daughter of his own and he really is a parent in the mold of my mother.

Just remember... even if she doesn't appreciate you now... Your revenge will be that she's destined to become you whether she likes it or not. :o

She has pretty much become me in so many ways! Poor kid... :cwink:
I say kid, but she turned 31 a few weeks ago.

It’s always great to see that she turned out so well. Like I said, it’s an achievement that I take enourmous satisfaction in.
Of course I do have an ulterior motive to treating her as best I can, because ultimately she will be choosing my nursing home... :cwink:
