CD Projeckt Red The Witcher 3

99.9% of ME3 is bloody awesome too, the ending could have been handled better but it did do a lot of things right and even loved the MP on it. The story line finishes for the Quarian/Geth and the Genophage were outstanding and as good maybe even better than ME2. Its just ME2 was the pinnacle to me but all three were great great games IMO.

Good to hear

Understandable :toth

EDIT: Wrong thread, my bad.

So...what's the coolest set of armor in this game?

Define coolest. Most useful to me was Griffin set. Coz I use signs a lot. Best-looking - maximized Feline.

All the Witcher School looks very nice as you level them up. I use the Ursine gear as it suits my playstyle and just looks BA as all hell :woot:

The other armors are a bit of a mixed bag, some interesting choices of colors on some armor shall we say:sly: but then just found some nice Witch Hunter gear also which looks a bit better.

"Coolest" in this case would just mean aesthetics. What armor in the game looks the coolest?

I really like the "free" downloadable armor, lol. Bear I think?

The Chest pieces for the most armors look horrible imo...especially the heavy armor types.
Make geralt look really strange, he looks chubby and pretty goofy.

The gloves, trousers and boots for the most part look good in the game...but when there is one thing the game sucks at...its the armores imo.

I still walk around with the standard witcher chest piece, since i dont get hit often...its not a big deal.

The feline gloves are my favorite so far.

I saw that "concept art" of the bear armor and its upgraded looks...that one looks really really cool.

Yea so far that orig Witcher gear been my fav, but I'm digging the feline armor. I'm using the enhanced currently. Il be ready to go after the superior in a few levels, already got the superior feline swords.

Yeah I think a problem with a lot of the armors is that they make Geralt look top heavy and a little "podgy" shall we say, also the legs never really match up hence why he looks like he's got that middle age spread going. Second it looks more akin to soldier armor rather than witcher armor.

Now the the actual Witcher armors all look pretty good, especially once leveled and actually suit Geralt, plus they look really nice in terms of texture and details, just insane on some and yeah that starting armor is a good example of that.

Ursine armor is really nice, not quite the same as the concept art unfortunately but still very very smart, certainly my fave so far. :hmr:

Nice. I need to check that armor out. Altho I prefer the buffs the light armor gives, but I don't really have any one play style, I'm constantly changing my combat tactics, so donning some heavy armor shouldn't be too big a change

The only thing to remember is that heavy armor has a severe penalty to stamina so it will restrict your sign use and movement. But as long as you know that you should be fine, as you say just adapt your style to it.

What I don't like is the higher level armor sets look like garbage and not something I want someone like Geralt to wear. Rarely have I picked up new armor that looks as cool as the set he starts out with.

Same thing with the weapons. I get a new sword that I like and looks really cool, but it soon becomes obsolete.

I don't know if I am ever going to be able to beat this game. New missions just keep coming and I feel like I've put in so many hours. lol

Don't forget even more will come with the DLC and expansions :D .

This is good though, we can't complain about the game being too short :) .

The good looking armors starts to come during the 20s (level), the ones from the start are pretty lame, watch out for the schematics, that's where the badass ones come from.

My favorite so far is the upgrade feline armor, not the strongest, but I'm always wearing it, mostly for the cutscenes' sake.

BTW, I'm the only one who thinks Ciri can beat the crap out of Geralt? I mean... elder blood and those skills are pretty OP. Sorry, Geralt.

I can understand that the "generic" and standard armors you find look goofy, most of them belong to common soldiers.
But the more unique armor should look the part.
If at least the colors of the armor would be decent, but many have a strange color that makes it even worst.

The Temerian and nilfgaardian armor seems to look good, so i guess the best ones will be free DLC:D

The swords look all pretty neat imo, so i dont mind them.
The one sword that threw me off was the one named the Emmentaler:D

I've been sticking to the Kaer Morhen armor I started out with, haven't upgraded it yet because I'd like a Master Armorer to be the one to do it. The Termerian and Nilfgaardian armor look great too. The Nilfgaardian armor looks alot like the kind of armor Geralt sometimes wears in the books.

I'm going to start hunting down the Griffin armor. But, with my focus on Quen...I've found myself not really needing the buffs of any higher grade armor, so I wind up going for pure aesthetics. I did get the Griffin School ability, too, which adds some buffs for using Medium armor.

Funny enough, I think I might go looking for which merchant I'd sold the Emmentaler to. Apparently, it's a really good sword that I wound up selling. I've read around that with it's Igini buff plus an Igini build, plus whatever glyphs you add to it, as well as it seemingly being a sword that levels up a few behind Geralt's current level, it turns out to be pretty good to stick with.

I'll go looking around to see where I sold that one and buy it back. And, the quest that gets you that sword has to be one of the funnier quests in the game.

hey, i have a question i´ve been avoiding the story a lot, instead i´m playing side missions and challenging vendors to Gwent...lol, i´m at the "Missing Persons" mission in Skellige, how far i´m into the story?

So, I figured out how to check how long i've been playing Witcher on the PS4. You go to the character screen and hit R2. It says i've spent 9 days playing the game. Is that legit? Like...are they saying i've spent 24 hours x 9?? Because that would mean i've spent over 200 hours...that doesn't seem right. I mean, i've been playing a lot.....

The clock is broken in the game apparently so dont trust that as a guide to actual play time. Mine says 3 hours 15 minutes and I have to admit its a lot lot more than that. :woot:

Xbox One has Leaderboards for their games, and time is one of the statistics. Says I am 23% done with 41 hours of playtime.

PS4 has a similar thing that shows trophies, percentage of complerion etc. Playtime should be in there.

42% done after 106 hours. Only just started Skellige missions. Gwent has taken over my life.
