CDPR has teased fans with this image. Could it be the Witcher 3?

wow! this game is super realistic.

I made it to the inn in the 1st town. There's a cat there with the name Cat clearly labeled above its head.

I tried striking up a conversation with the cat to ask him if he's seen a raven haired woman with violet eyes who smells like lilac and gooseberries.

And the cat wouldn't let me talk to him. he just ******* ignored me and went about his merry way!!

........just like a real cat! :awesome:

My cat would actually strike up a conversation with you. He's fairly sociable. It's weird.

My cat is social with me but when she hears anyone else come in the house her eyes get huge and she darts for a chair or bed to hide under.

I'm loving the story and atmosphere, but the controls are so clunky I'm not sure I can get through the whole game.

heh. my cat was pretty talkative and social, too.

The controls dont get much easier than this game. Attack, strong attack, parry, riposte, and a dedicated magic button. Everything even stops so the player can select magic without dying.

Just get better. The problem is you, not the game.

Yea piss off.

My character doesn't stop when I stop him, selecting to talk to people sometimes doesn't work because of poor hit detection. Riding the horse is a chore rather then fun due to how they have it set up.

I'm not talking about the way too easy, even in hardest mode combat controls.

What? Horse controls are basically RDR.. Litterally the same thing. I've not had a single issue like you're describing.

No. Retail comes with a code.

My copy only came with two codes. One is for the Witcher Battle Arena. The other code is for The Witcher House of Glass Comic Book Issue #1. There isn't any other codes in the game case.

Like Benstamania said, it's basically Red Dead Redemption's horse controls, which are the best horse back controls I've ever played. The hold button down to have Roache follow the path automatically is a great touch too.

I don't know man, the controls feel tight and responsive to me. They don't feel clunky for me, at all.

The only issue I have is with the controls for swimming, I'm sure I will drown at some point, LOL.

Like Witcher 2 for me it takes some time to get the knack of fighting again but once it clicks you realise how good it is and how to approach the different opponents, also learn which Signs are most effective against which enemy as this makes a HUGE difference in combat and keep on the move all the time.

I don't have a problem with horse controls either. Not significant problems. Roach doesn't always jump all that well. And mounting him can be touch and go. The prompt likes to disappear randomly and sometimes Roach just trots away as I'm about to mount him. Other than that tho the horse back riding is pretty good. And Roach has a respectable amount of stamina compared to some horse in other games that seem to gallop ten feet and stroke out.

The swimming tho, good god, those controls are dog ****! I nearly drowned more than once.

How do you jump on Roach?

Horse combat is great, you do massive damage on horseback it seems.

This game has a memory leak glitch on the PC. They better patch that up. When Ive tried to play the game, it tends to crash

Swimming's fine for me. I'm always using Witcher sense while swimming though, and pretty much just go forward, go up to the surface, or go down to the bottom. I can see it falling apart if they force me to do anything more complicated than that, though. But, so far they haven't, so I can't really complain about the swimming really. And I'm happy they went for it, too, and didn't have Geralt just climb back to the surface or, worst, just had him drown if we fell in the water.

Hey, just responding to a few of your posts from the last thread.. can't quote as it got closed. I'm kind of glad Dark mode isn't an absolute killer, at least once you've played the game a few times and are fully prepared. And yes, of course Colonial Marines and Duke Nukem were different cases, couldn't be more different in fact! The CDPR would never intentionallly deceive like A:CM and even if something goes wrong they own up to the mistake, are genuinely sorry, try their best to fix it and then offer something free to fans to make up for it. I love Borderlands but Gearbox have lost my trust now and I won't buy their future non-Borderlands games until they review well and others tell me they're good. While with guys like this I'll have no problem buying games blind, eg when Cyberpunk comes out, even if only to support them.

They really need to fix the hit detection for interacting with objects/looting/talking. I'm getting real tired of having to push x multiple times and walk around an object to perfect the position/angle to get it to work. If the button prompt shows up, the button should work the first time you push it. There's no excuse for that.

Give circle a tap.

Cheers, thinks thats B on the xbox so probably the same as making Geralt jump but for some reason never tried that one!!

Anyone tried any races yet? are they hard/easy? worth doing?

Agreed. Hopefully CDPR improve it with a patch.

I'm looking forward to the following months, honestly. I've heard good things about how CDPR keeps providing support for games they release, and listening to many of the hardcore fans who've been with CDPR since the first Witcher game...it sounds like that's one of the reason CDPR is such a fan favorite. Continuing to provide support post-launch is something that goes a long way for people. I believe the 'thank you' note CDPR put in the game case even mentioned post-launch support. I've heard about how The Witcher 2 was quite different before the Enhanced Edition, and how that was ultimately the culmination of a long time of post-launch support for the original game.

By the way, just because it's something I keep hearing, my understanding is that in Poland, the sun rises at 3AM. Speaking as someone who is born and has lived in the U.S. my entire life, that sounds ****ing crazy. I've also heard others mention that in other parts of Europe, the sun rises at anywhere between 12 AM and 5 AM.

So, no...the in-game clock isn't broken. The sun rising at 3 AM is on purpose, it's not a glitch. Not everything is set in North America.
