CD Projeckt Red The Witcher 3

Beat the main story yesterday and I don't see how Geralt's story is over. I haven't played the dlc expansions, although I will soon but the main story's ending is unclear to what happened to Ciri and once Geralt takes out the last crone, he simply appears at Kaer Morhen alone to let the player free roam.

I chose to leave with Yennefer but she's not seen or referenced again once I left to find Ciri in the tower. So Ciri is missing again and Geralt is left alone at the witcher keep alone..that kinda sucks!

A new story with a new protagonist that I can see is the next game taking place years after this one and Geralt replaces Vesemir as the head master as he trains a new generation of Wichers, We play as his new top protege with Ciri returning as part of the story.

TX85, you got the "bad end."

The implication for your ending is that Ciri died fighting the White Frost or whatever that was supposed to be.

Well ****!

I don't know what caused me to get the worst ending

It's basically this:

If you try to hold Ciri's hand through everything or drink with her, it will cause the bad ending. If you collect the money from the Emperor Emhyr in front of her, also bad.

I'm gonna have to new game plus this tonight!

Oddly enough, if you play Hearts of Stone before the point in which you find Ciri, and you opt for the bad ending, one of the dialogue options for Gaunter O'Dimm will have him tell you what to do with Ciri in order to get the best endings with her.

Here are the main things to keep in mind:

* After the Battle of Kaer Morhen, hit her with a snowball. Don't go drinking with her.
* When the Council of Mages want to talk to her, let her go in and do it herself.
* If you take her to see Emhyr, do NOT accept money for finding her. Turn that money down. This woman is YOUR daughter.
* Go with her on the side quests and help the people who were good to Ciri on her journey.

Yeah I looked up what to do for each ending and I'm doing a 2nd play through right now and going for the ending where
Ciri lives and becomes empress

I think the "Best" Ending is the one
Where Ciri can live as a witcher.
It strikes me as the best solution.
Because Ciri didnt look like somebody who wants to be someone "important".

That one sounds good too, Not really sure which one to go for between the two good endings. I'm like at the half point in the story and so I still got plenty of time to decide.

Really glad I decided to go through a 2nd play through!

The beauty of the game is the player can decide their best ending. And there are actually different, varied endings, UNLIKE *ahem* Mass Effect 3.

This is without a doubt the best ending. [BLACKOUT]Ciri's goal was always to "be free"[/BLACKOUT]. All you have to do is look at how you get each ending. [BLACKOUT]This one shows growth in Geralt, with him respecting Ciri and her wishes and they are both actually happy[/BLACKOUT].

I thought playing through again would be boring because I had just beaten main story and it's a long one but I have been able to this better about my choices and it's been a greater experiance. The story and characters is so amazing to me.

Mass Effect is the only RPG that I have been deeply into but this is a whole other level, Now I'm definitely ready for the Skyrim remaster!

SO I have this constant glitch where roach is tailless , so everytime I ride I get a full view of his butt.

lol.

SO I finished Hearts Of Stone DLC, I liked how the familiar cat and dog give you the criptic clue [BLACKOUT]"find salvation in glass that cannot be broken[/BLACKOUT] Which is [BLACKOUT]reflecting water, that you can't broke because it's liquid. how would they know in advance that Gauntr would use that particular riddle I dunno.[/BLACKOUT]

Now, off to play the blood and wine exp!!!

I'll get the Extension Pack Pass soon, It's cool that there are some free quest dlc.

Currently in the middle of New Game+, this game is probably my all time favorite. The characters, the story, the choices, the setting.. everything is amazing. #teamTriss

[BLACKOUT]I got the ending where she goes to become the heir. Which, felt like a good ending to me. It felt very much Witcher-esque, too, with having a good/bad vibe to it. It was very bittersweet, almost felt like he was seeing her off to College or Adulthood, or something. Like, a father not liking the decision his daughter was making, but understanding that she's an adult and he can't do anything to stop her.

Worst part, I remember thinking, was that she'd probably wind up marrying that smush-face, self important Nilfgaardian nobleman with the high pitched voice that I wanted to slap everytime I saw. But, Ciri could make for a great ruler, especially with Emyr as her mentor and with the good heart she's got. [/BLACKOUT]

Hearts of Stone was great, quality expansion pack!

So I know I'm really late with this, but I've finally started to really get into this game and I'm really enjoying it.

I'm only on level 12 but I'm curious, without any spoilers, how did you build your character?

Alchemy, alchemy, alchemy, alchemy. And swordsmanship.

It's the most lore friendly(if you never bothered reading the novels) and makes you a powerhouse if you go out and buy/find those recipies.
