Screen Name: Johnny Blaze
Character you would like to play: Amazo
Powers: The ability to duplicate the powers of any meta-human he comes in contact with. Already at his disposal are the powers of a few of the JLAers, such as Supes, Martian Manhunter, Flash, Wonder Woman, GL, and Aquaman.
Group your character is aligned with (if applicable): Group? He don't need no stinkin' group. He's the One Man Justice League for Pete's sake.
Three reasons why you have chosen that character: I love villains, and he’s an awesome one. He's one of the top JLA villains out there. I didn't get the chance to play him in the OU, so I'll give him a go here.
Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you plan to do with the character you've chosen (i.e. What are your goals? Will you be doing anything different with the character than is usually seen?): I can't really say much, since I don't want to give things away. Suffice to say that the heroes will be in some major trouble this season.
How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as need be, life permitting.
Color and font you plan on using for your characters speech (Might not be applicable but it makes the roster pretty): Dark Orange, Veranda, Bold
Do you have an Instant Messenger? Which one, and what is your screen name? AIM - Beer the Drinker; MSN - if you want/need to get in touch with me over MSN, I'll PM you my addy
How did you find out about this game, Recruitment thread/word of post/seeing the RPG OOC/IC thread? Saw the thread a few seasons back and decided to give it a go. Been hooked ever since.
Please provide a small sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in:
The man walked down the quiet, dimly lit street, his hands in his trench coat pockets. It was black night out as the moon was completely covered by the black rain clouds that roared overhead. There was no rainfall though, but there was plenty of wind. The wind gusts got strong enough to knock the man's bolero off of his head and send it tumbling into an alley.
With a silent curse under his breath, the man followed after the hat. The wind sent it deep into the dank heart of the alley, far away from noise of the main roads which the man was previously walking.
Reaching down to pick up his hat after it had rolled into the side of a dingy dumpster, the man scooped it up and dusted it off.
That's when his keen hearing picked up the soft footsteps of somebody behind him.
"Can I help you with something", said the man as he turned to face the new arrival.
"Yeah, you can, pops", replied the large man in dirty, tattered clothes as he loomed over his victim with a knife in his hand, "for starters, you can give your wallet. Then you can toss in everything else you got that might be worth something. You do what I say quick like, I might let you live.Maybe."
The man in the trench coat smiled wide and started to laugh. At first it was a low chuckle, but it soon grew into a booming laugh that echoed across the buildings that loomed over them both like cold, stone giants.
"What the hell's so funny pops", asked the mugger as he started to get angry and a bit unnerved at his victims laughter.
The man in the trench coat stopped his laughter and stared at the man, a cold, lifeless look in his eyes.
"Friend, you picked the wrong "man" to mug today."
As he finished the sentence his body began to morph and grow. The mugger just stood there, frozen in horror, as he watched this "man" grow to tower over him and take the shape of a humanoid being with short red hair, pointed ears, and a green outfit.
The "man's" eyes glowed like the sun and two beams of red hot light shot out and blasted the mugger in the chest. Within a second, all that was left of the mugger was bone and ash.
With a smile, the large creature once again took the shape of a human, this time a beautiful young woman dressed in black.
With a smile "she" looked down at charred remains of "her" attacker as she walked back towards the street, leaving the hat behind as well as the trench coat, which was torn during the transformation.
"Later, handsome", "she" said to the dark pile that was once a man as "she" moved back out to the busy streets.
Pulling "her" coat in close around "her", which was actually part of "her" being, the thing in the female form became one with the crown once more as it continued on it's mysterious journey through the dark streets of Gotham.
