Guys, the Fate matter has been decided very clearly, and it's kind of stunning how all of you gloss over this ruling:

2. You will keep your arc isolated from the rest of the arcs in the RPG.

Purple Man can't affect the game. It's basically going to be a glorified fanfic. At least, that's how I read it.

Purple Man has agreed to shift his emphisis to match up more with SuperFerret's usage, and if he isn't, the GM's have the right to 'pull the plug' on his arc.

also until further notice GL, SF and NB are going to be taking the major load of the GMing of this RPG...

I have to work on my RPing..since I only got one nomination here and two other people were told they were the most accomplished RPGers. That and I haven't had time to write my own application, or last season post because I've had to work on OOC stuff.

My quality has slipped.

The criticism has been turned into something much more constructive. Thank you for your concerns.

I've decided that Hector Hall will be Dr.Fate, but he will be on a mental vacation while something else will be in is head.

I'd also like to apologize for not showing more of my charcterization in my sample post. I was thinking of it as an Epilogue of sorts with the Twilight Zone intro and the metaphorical opening of the door to imagination. Most of my Dr.Fate stuff will have a deeper meaning. The Epilogue was in my application because it was my personal opening of the door, letting Fate (you guys) decide whether I(Fate) walked through the door.

And, Twy. Your quality isn't slipping, everyone else is catching up. Things have been getting smoking hot. I didn't get any nominations this season, but I plan on turning things up a notch for Season V with my Dr.Fate and Superboy strangeness.

I hope this clears a lot of things up. Thank you again for your patience with my insane ramblings.

i found the RPGs by coming into the Marvel and DC Forums
i always tried to be in RPGs at the Sony boards, but there wasn't enough dedicated players

Your idea was accepted, and I have no qualms with you playing it out. Your not interfering with anyone else's stories, and therefore you will cause absolutely no problems in continuity.

All that I ask is that you improve your application... Try to go into more detail with his powers, and give actual reasons in your reasonings as opposed to teasers to your arc (Why you want to play this character, and why you want to go this route). Everything else in the application is solid and good enough to pass, from my point of view. Even the sample post.

Just improve those two points I mentioned, and you should be good to go when the season begins.

Yes, he can levitate, teleport, fire energy bolts, but that is only scraping the surface of what he can really do. In truth yeah I was disappointed I mean the "month jump" kind of ment we couldn't do the original ending, (which was no ones fault really just one of those things) and The Genesis Strain arc was our last chance for a showdown between the two.

I can understand that. But what I'm asking does not pertain to any ideas you have for the arc, or anything you're going to do in the game. I'm asking changes for your application so I can accept you and put you on the roster, which is the only reason any of this was brought up at all.

Your questions/teasers for the reasonings don't explain your reasons for wanting to play the character at all. They may be questions you yourself want to explore in the game, but you don't make that clear. You could still use them for one of the reasons, and add something at the end, emphasising that the questions are ideas you want to explore in the game... But they aren't three reasons.

The powers thing, I can understand. But honestly, you could simply say Fate is a master of many mystical arts, and it'd be more acceptable than what you put.

I'm not trying to offend you or your ideas in any way. I'm just doing what I need to do in order to help you officially become roster-bound. That's all I've wanted. I don't care about past quibbles with your IC ideas... that's all in the past, and done with, and I am more than pleased with the outcome because it allows us to be as fair as we can to the other players, while allowing you your own creativity, which is what I've admired about you above all since you began participating in these RPGs. I just want to help you in getting in so you can do just that.

THE NEW BOOK OF FATE: EPILOGUE I

"You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension - a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into the Twilight Zone." The realm is described in all sorts of manners. Twilight Zone is but one of one thousand fifty six. Most in tongues no human could mimic, others in wavelengths unknown to man, several more in scents even the keenest animal could not detect.

To even know its name one would have to look beyond rational thought and instinct. Beyond the tediums of every day life, to see that our existence is but only a bit part in something grander. Like links to an infinite chain. So many layers upon layers. Puppeteers but puppets to greater puppeteers. Existence is everything you can imagine, and nothing like you'd expect.

The truth is somewhere in the middle between Order and Chaos. Though no civilization in the history of the multiverse has ever been able to comprehend the truth, it is out there. Amid the tranquil insanity of the source there is one force binding everything that ever was, is, and ever will be.

Fate.

In a tower that is either here nor there. Everywhere yet nowhere at the same time. A man stands alone. His hand opening a door unlocked with the key of imagination.

THE NEW BOOK OF FATE: EPILOGUE II

In the beginning there was darkness. Then as a man who dared to find the universal truth once said. "A shadow..like a giant hand..with something...a cluster of stars inside." The statement was true of the beginning of all things, and the last thing Hector Hall in the guise of Fate had seen.

The hand could have been there for only the briefest of moments or billions of years, no one could know such things. When the shadow gave way to light, the man named Hector found himself wrapped in a golden robe in a infinity with only him.

As if it were an extension of himself, ground formed underfoot. Purple and blue grass that felt like cotton went on for what was possibly miles, leading into a dark forest and beyond that a mountain whos peak could not be fathomed.

"What? Where? Who? Why? How?" The words came out in a steady string, floating in the air like balloons.

Enamored with what lied ahead, he had given no thought to what was behind him. And what he saw over his shoulder terrified him.

It wasn't anything that would scare people. In fact it wasn't anything at all. A white void was at his back. Staring into the ivory abyss for several moments, he turned away slowly. Facing forward, Hall pulled up his golden hood, and gave a nod to no one in particular.

"I understand."

With those words a shimmering, gold road paved with his mind, stretched out infront of him.

Like any journey; it begins with the first step.
